  • Model LZ602 31. A brand new cleaner from Shark, with a lot of interesting features. Overall I’ve been very impressed, and I like it more than the corded Shark stick vacs I’ve tested, as well as their cordless machines.

      That's awesome to hear although I've read a few reviews that say it gets tiring due to most of the weight being on the handle at the top. Wondering if a traditional upright like the Shark NV351 would be easier if you primarily push it around. The lift away's are nice because you can still lift the vac off and use it to clean couches/ cars etc. Depends how much hard to reach cleaning you do

    I really love this vacuum. Easy to use and easy to clean without alot of landfill filters. My carpet has never been cleaner of dog hair!
    But now after 18 months, I need to replace the hard brush roller, and its near impossible. Most professionals won't even work on them. A vacuum that can't be fixed?? If I'm replacing a vacuum every yr and a half- that's so much trash for the landfill and so much money... I'm feeling defeated.
    If Shark made a long-lasting and fixable vacuum, I'd be 1st in line.
    Great review! Its all true 😢

    • @VacTech1
      @VacTech1  Před 6 měsíci

      The sad thing with Sharks is that very few parts are available for repairs outside of the basics. Are you able to contact Shark about it while it’s still under warranty? They may be able to send you a new cleaner head.

    • @sirisoule4214
      @sirisoule4214 Před 6 měsíci +1

      @VacTech1 no longer under warranty. I double-checked, and I actually bought just over 2 yrs ago, and since I bought on Amazon, I'm not sure they'd warranty it anyway. (Side note to all- if you purchase items from Amazon, warranties that are expected from the brand, often are limited)
      I actually found a replacement hard brush and brush cover on ebay from an excellent seller. The roller head does have easy access to change the brush cover but anything more requires specific specialty tools to remove a variety of security screws.
      I'm waiting on one to arrive now, and I will then see if i can get in. According to a professional repairman, even after all the screws are out, the pieces are hard to remove because they click together.
      Cheers

    This is probably the one Im going to buy. I wonder why vacuum companies don't have hybrid cord/cordeless options for these stick types. Don't wanna wait for the battery to charge.or battery life? plug the cord in and you're good to go. Or Want to take the top portion without a cord? also good to go.

      Mr Hath - I was considering a Dyson, but it's just way to expensive for a vacuum. Have you checked out all the bad reviews about them on Amazon? For a $500+ model... there sure is a lot of negative reviews. Many people have said the V10/V11 model is impossible to push across thicker piled carpets. It has so much suction... that you just can't push it. Others have said the battery life is around 10-15 minutes. It takes me 40 minutes non-stop to do my house (3 floors). That means I would have to purchase and 2 additional battery packs for an already over priced model. Or charge this a couple times between using it which would be a huge headache if I'm doing an all house clean. Other reviews have said they had there's for 7,8,9 months and it no longer holds a charge. So you spend $500+ for a Dyson, then once a year buy a new battery?

      @@MD77SA No, it's air-powered. You could use it attached to the wand so you don't have to bend down while cleaning stairs. Also the cordless Dysons are great for stairs. Maybe that route would work out better for you?

      @@VacTech1 thank you. Would you tell me which cordless Dyson is great for stairs and has a motorized brush? I do need it to be self cleaning brushroll
      Does Dyson have that? I have literally spent 15 hours researching vacuums. I ordered one and am going to cancel it because i discovered it didn't have powered lift away for undrneath furniture. I know Shark has a Apex with brushroll cleaner and powered lift away but i am not sure if stair attachment is a mororized brush. Trying to get Black Black Friday sales but they are not there to ask today.

    I laughed when you said "nice, large dirt cup" because these are the most pathetically small dirt cups I've ever used! I have a rocket duoclean with a 0.91 qt capacity, this model is about 0.68. That would be the entire reason I most likely will not buy this particular vacuum. I need one with the sealed system (my house is terribly dusty to begin with, unsealed systems make it worse) but at this point would buy a new vacuum JUST to get a bigger dust cup.

    • @VacTech1
      @VacTech1  Před 4 lety

      I suppose I mean a large dirt cup for what I would consider a stick vac, which usually have small capacities. There are lots of options from Shark and other companies that may suit your needs better!

    • @schlowe2003
      @schlowe2003 Před 4 lety

      @@VacTech1 Indeed. I have a Bissell Cleanview, and it works well except the height adjuster doesn't work well enough and the brush continuously bogs down, and it too is not a sealed system so dust flies everywhere. Despite claiming to have only a 1 quart capacity, I can finish multiple rooms without having to constantly dump the canister. Maybe it just isn't cleaning as well. I have to dump the Rocket cup several times in just 1 room. 3 dogs don't help either.

    Stick vacuums are supposed to be about convenience, the floor head is to bulky, and the cord is annoying. I love my dyson v11.

    • @VacTech1
      @VacTech1  Před 4 lety +1

      I prefer my dyson V8, and I do like the cordless convenience for sure. The floor head although larger, is about the same height, so it can still slip under furniture easily. The cord is nice and long (30 feet).

      its cheaper and has unlimited power unlike dysons

    • @jasonwhitton8106
      @jasonwhitton8106 Před 4 lety +2

      Vac Tech I just imagine that floor attachment knocking the floor when being picked up more than the slender design of Dyson’s, and I had the V8 for a week, and decided to exchange it for the v11. I have two cats, and hard floors, at times they fling litter everywhere, and the cleaning head on the V8 was dragging litter in the front, the head on the v11 doesn’t. Although I will admit that the soft “fluffy” head was superior on hard floors. I honestly think it just boils down to what the person needs. My cats get litter everywhere. So I’m using my v11 at least twice a day.. usually more.. I have a small two story house, and I don’t have to charge the battery for about two to three days. I also love using the dusting brush attached to the hose to clean my wooden stairs, and dusty car dashboard. The only reason I’d have a corded vacuum was if I had a lot of carpet.
