I would love to see you cook from some off these amazing books. Mabey you could do a wee series of picking random recipe book. Or use a random number picker to pick a book and the using the random number to pick a page. Thank you for always making me smile 😃.
That A LOT of cookbooks XD Would definitely love a video as suggested in some of the comments about trying different recipes from different books when you have the time. That might be fun!
This is the content I live for!!! Not enough cookbook talk out there I think, and it’s especially nice to see veggie/vegan focused ones as that’s what I look for! xx
I also have Fresh India and is absolutely my favourite. I cooked most of it during the first lockdown. My husband liked the pistachio cake soo much that it was in his wedding vows.
I love cookbooks - collect them. Fantastic to keep them in the kitchen, books in every room in the house!! :) brussel sprout and bacon tart? Did I hear that correctly!?
I loved this!! Would love more cooking content on your channel. I'm so nosy and love seeing what people are eating! Your recipes always look so creative but still accessible.
The Green Roasting Tin is just the best cookery book I've ever owned. Usually I only end up doing one or two recipes from a book but I've found I use this one regularly and have done loads of recipes from it. It's fantastic. Love it. And yes, I have two big shelves of cookery books, some really old and falling apart through over use!
I always enjoy hearing you talk about cookbooks, so this video is a treat! I love Simple, some favourites are the rose harissa and cherry tomato pasta and the tomato bulgur with aubergine from the oven, absolutely delicious!!
I asked for and received recently The Green Roasting Tin for my birthday, based on your recommendation. The first recipie I made is the creole spiced leek & mushroom tart and it is delicious! Very rasy to make. Thank you for recommending the book Lauren! I look forward to making more meals out of it :)
Lauren, I love how much you love cooking! You will have the time of your life if you listen to the Off Menu podcast, particularly the episode with Claudia Winkleman!
In the words of Captain Jack "But why the BACON?!?!" LOL I was fixing myself a cup of coffee and I heard replace the bacon...I almost dropped my mug 🤣🤣🤣 I had to come comment to tease you but I ❤❤❤ your shirt!!!
I don’t cook, but I like looking at and reading the Nigel Slater cook books. They’re so cosy! I have the roasting tin series because of you! I really do need to get cooking, but my motivation is quite bad, so until I get my cookery mojo, I’ll just look at them for now! Best Wishes and congratulations on your engagement. 💕🎉
I am so jealous of your ability to follow recipes successfully! Things I try to make from recipe books, or even cooking videos, never work out. Curious to know which of your vegan cookbooks you would say are failsafe?
This was my dream video because I LOOVVEEE cookbooks! Thank you, a dream to watch! I used to have 40+ but at the beginning of this year made myself condense the collection down to one shelf. I'm now only allowed to own as many as can fit on that shelf, but that doesn't stop me from thinking....maybe I should just get a bigger shelf?! Hahaha!
I recommend The Avent garde vegan. His cookbooks are great and he has a fabulous utube channel. Thanks for this. I need to count my books. I think I have about 30. But I recently got rid of anything thats not vegan. Love a cookbook 😁
OH, WOW. Jamie should be so proud! You own like 95% of his cookbooks! I do like cookbooks but... as objects. Because they have pretty photographs. But then... I never actually cook from them! They are VERY expensive here, too. I only own one by Nigella Lawson (one of the earlier), one by Sophie Dahl (such a GORGEOUS cosy book) and a couple more by local chefs (from Argentina I mean). That's all. I've probably made 2 or 3 recipes from them. I'm terrible at following written instructions. I get lost. I can't picture things. Usually the end result looks and tastes terrible, then I'm disappointed... anyway. I prefer to improvise. Open fridge/cupboard, look at what's available, create a dish. Done. Besides British cookbooks usually require ingredients that I can't get hold of where I live. And I must admit, I'm not much of an adventurer when it comes to food. PS: was very sweet to hear the words 'dulce de leche' here! English pronunciation makes it quite difficult to say!
Hi Lauren be careful with get fresh in australia there's been food poisoning because of get fresh it's been on our nation's news and congrats on your engagement

Thank you for always making me smile 😃.
I love how cheerful you are. And this video is just made for me because I love cookbooks
"This is the vegan bible - got stuff about Satan in there..." ....sorry what?! Ooooh Seitan - I didn't think it was that kind of Bible 😂😂
Very Impressive!!
That A LOT of cookbooks XD Would definitely love a video as suggested in some of the comments about trying different recipes from different books when you have the time. That might be fun!
Lauren, you need a rice cooker! I swear by them. I always struggled cooking rice until I got one. It's a game changer.
I love Bosh!
I don't own a single cookbook but I loved this video! These are some cosy vibes! xxx
:O I just saw the John Lewis Christmas advert for the first time on this video!
Love cookbooks and love this video thank you. I’ll now be getting the green roasting tin 😊.
Tasty !!
This is the content I live for!!! Not enough cookbook talk out there I think, and it’s especially nice to see veggie/vegan focused ones as that’s what I look for! xx

Lauren And The Books already bought Jamie Oliver’s Veg thanks to you, bloody love it!! You’ve got taste!
I love the Green Roasting Tin, it’s my fave, thanks to you! You have a good collection, I have 22 on my shelf, including just one Jamie Oliver!! 😊😊
I also have Fresh India and is absolutely my favourite. I cooked most of it during the first lockdown. My husband liked the pistachio cake soo much that it was in his wedding vows.

The Brazilian bean recipe from the roasting tin around the world is so good! Seriously was my lunch for a good solid week
I’m waiting for my copy of The Green Roasting Tin to arrive in the mail, based 100% on your recommendation!
There is a Mowgli in Oxford in the West Gate shopping centre. It’s my restaurant of choice when I visit.

Loved this video. As a chef and nutritionist who loves to read, I am obsessed with cookbooks😂

Congrats on your engagement! I also am a huge cookbook fan, but only have about 15 so far (here in the US at least, they are so expensive!)!
Great collection but wait no Nigel Slater books? I've definitely seen you talk about his books

Any Ella Woodward´s cookbook?
I don't have any of hers actually!
