That's one clean survivor,! Mike picked the right Mopar to start out with too, because it has some nice options and a great paint code/color. Thanks, Lou!
Hi TheGunfighter45acp, You're right, this one is in amazing condition. My pleasure sharing this one with you, and you're welcome, Lou
another classic mopar starter sound. The key buzz is music to my ears.
Hi keeff, Happy to read you enjoy the sounds from this car :-) Lou
Both of my 70’s a Six pack Cuda and Charger are missing the buzzer. Or it isn’t hooked up. The Reverse interlock was gone in both as well. I would have removed that nonsense myself also! 😀
Johnny Duplantis I bought them back in the early 80’s... I could never afford what guys are asking for cars today! 😁
LOVE this car Lou ! Everything a Mopar lover wants in a car is right there and a survivor car to boot..wow.. Nice job 👍🏼
Hi Richard, Happy to read you "LOVE this car" :-) My pleasure sharing this one with you, Lou
They are only original once!!! Beautiful survivor!!!
"They are only original once!!!" You're right :-) Happy to read you enjoy the looks of this car.
My birthday’s tomorrow, and we haven’t seen an RR in a WHILE!
If that isn't the ultimate muscle car I don't know what is. Just perfect. Thanks guys!
High praise for this "ultimate muscle car" :-) You're welcome.
Love this MOPAR Survivor car, thanks Lou.
Hi Ollie, Happy to read you "Love this MOPAR" :-) You're welcome, Lou
I like survivor cars. The vinyl roofs on these older cars are kinda cool also. The trim around the vinyl roofs sometimes provide almost a new body line. I also LOVE 💘 how the back windows roll down on almost all these older 2 door cars

Hi 413x398, Happy to share this one with you in this condition :-) You're welcome, Lou
Beep-Beep Roar-Roar! Road Runner! Floor it some more! There's a lot I could say about this car, but I fear I would sound repetitive of all the other cars I've loved before. But again - I'm faithful to each one of those cars! This one especially makes me miss driving Stick. Stupid bum leg of mine shoulda happened to a Trumpet Player who doesn't drive, instead of meeeee! Nah - I wouldn't really wish that on anyone at all. So I'll just grin and beast about it. lol. Beautiful piece of machinery here, Lou! Mike's survivor Road Runner is awesome without a doubt. Thanks again Lou for bringing another treasure!
Hi ImTheDaveman, My pleasure sharing the treasure :-) You're welcome, Lou
In 1973, I bought an FE5 70 RR from original owner with N96 for $1,200. Wish I still had it. Just a used car then. Lou. You always highlight the best cars when America was great.
Hi George, Happy to read you had a cool car, and glad to read you're enjoying the selection of cars on this Channel :-) Lou

@@loucostabile your channel is indispensable, sir.
Fit and finish and body gaps are really good and tight on this road runner, especially for an original.
Hi Andy, Glad to read you appreciate the condition of this car :-) Lou
Love this car! '70 Road Runner was the best styling of the Mopar Model..IMHO.
Happy to read you "Love this car!"
Great survivor, that looks to have survived the Pennsylvania weather.
:-)
Hi, Lou! This ol' bird has both Torred paint and a torred sound! And it makes a buzz in more ways than one (4:03)! LOL! Many thanks to you and Mike for yet another fine presentation! Beep! Beep!

OMG!! This is one beautiful MOPAR, not to mention that it’s a ‘Survivor’...double kudos for that! Seriously, what’s not to like? Thanks Lou for a great presentation! I’m also diggin’ that grey Dodge Charger in the background. Looks to be a 1972(?) maybe.
Hi Rusty, High praise :-) My pleasure sharing this one with you, and you're welcome, Lou
Looks and sounds great for a survivor goes to show if a car is taken care of it last forever
Hi Larry, Happy to read you enjoy this car :-) Lou

Another fabulous car. Thank's
Happy to read you enjoy this car :-) You're welcome.
My first car ever was a '72 Dodge dart swinger 340 engine from the early 80s. The car was powerful and stunning. If I only knew it would worth that much today, i;ll keep that car today. It was a yellow with a black hard top, typical early 70s feature, only a single carb and the rests are stock.Anyway, I enjoyed it and sold it afterwards for a cheaper price. :((
Hi Vern, Happy to read this car brings back memories of your car :-) Thank you for viewing and sharing, Lou
Man that's a nice Road runner!!Torred is an awesome color especially with all the black accent's. When you got behind the wheel filming the dashboard with the gauges and pan across to the AM radio man I can picture myself in 72 driving my 1970 Dodge Charger 500 it too was a 383 Magnum pistol grip 4 speed car just that view alone takes me back ! Thanks for posting another cool car Lou I plan on coming to Carlisle this year I hope I get to meet you!
Hi Nova Wagon, Happy to read this car brings back memories of your car :-) Thank you for viewing and sharing, Lou
Lou that was a great car and great video. 1970 was one of my favorite years on the Road Runner. I loved that Torred color too! That is a great color for this unit. Such a awesome survivor car. Sounded good and healthy too there Lou! Great owner who loves his toy and keeps it up very well.Another great video Lou and thanks so much for sharing with us!
HI Steve, Happy to read this one is a favorite year and color too for the Road Runner :-) My pleasure sharing with you, and you're welcome, Lou
🚂 Hi Mike & Lou: Very nice ride. I remember this car because I graduated from H.S. in 1970. The color is very cool, Like orange, 🥕
Hi trainroomgary, Happy to read this one brings back memories :-) Lou
Super cool nice job taking care of her and a 383 with air grabber don't see that often.
Hi derwood 454, Happy to read you enjoy this car :-) Lou
As always, Road Runners make me happy!
And fun fact, to stay true to the character, Roadie, my custom 1969 RR, is actually a living car, moving and driving on his own and talks with his horn, just like Herbie, another car I like.
Hi Misty, Happy to see you found this one :-) Cool "Roadie" is running the roads too. BEEP BEEP! Lou
@@loucostabile Roadie’s running the roads. If you hear his horn, GET THE HECK OUTTA THE WAY
That's one beautiful survivor car!!
It's amazing how clean it is.
Just gotta love the Mopar's

What an amazing survivor. I am so glad some people have the discipline to baby and take such great care of these awesome cars. Lord know I don't. LOL. I am afraid there would be several more miles and wear on them if they were mine. :) Thank you for sharing this one Lou. Take care.
Hi Russell, Happy to read you appreciate this car :-) I'd have to drive this one. You're welcome, Lou
Has a 71 Runner the same color as that 71 Charger in the background 🇺🇸

What a fantastic car channel Lou, thank you!
I always check out your channel before Jay Leno's. 😎
I predict you will have 130,000+ subscribers by the end of 2021.
Always loved those Chrysler rallye wheels. It was interesting how
Chrysler tried to recreate their iconic look in the steel wheel designs on the Plymouth Horizon/Dodge Omni.
Hi Nathan, Appreciate your kind words on the Channel and I hope you're prophetic words on 130K Subscribers is correct :-) Happy to read what you see on this car, and thanks for sharing. Glad you're along for the ride, Lou
Hi Lou! I am so happy to see another masterpiece from you! Nice car and I like the license plate -- it tells it all! :)
Hi Aelita! Happy yo share this "masterpiece" with you :-) Lou
Paid $800.00 for my green 70, 383 4 speed and grabber hood late 1972. Drove it around the block and gave him cash. Straight to the tag office, that's when I noticed the odometer @ 75,000 + miles. Drove it for 2 years, heard a small tick in the bottom end. Dropped the pan and found a loose rod on the main. The car was still in pretty good shape. $200.00 shoe polish on the windshield, and sold the next day. The guy came back the next day re: the trunk which I'd never opened. original rubber over galv. sheet metal screwed in. Found out a year later it was a moonshine car. South Fl. to Kentucky and back every weekend for 2 years explained the high miles when I got it. Moonshine eats steel darn fast. I miss that car!!
Hi Wayne, Great story of your car :-) Thanks for viewing and sharing, Lou
Beautiful survivor in the right color combo. In my experience as a kid in the 1970's, I didn't see a whole lot of Mopar muscle cars. The most popular by far on Long Island was the Camaro, Chevelle, and Nova. Next would be Mustangs, and I would put Cuda's, Challengers, and Road-Runners last.
Hi Joseph, Happy to read you enjoy the looks of this car :-) Glad to be able to share this one with you, Lou
Glad I stumbled on your channel Lou. Love that fine example of a 70 RR. My first car was a 69 RR. Sadly it got destroyed in a horrific car accident back in 1982. I’m hoping to pick up another one in the near future, either 69 or 70. I’ll continue to follow your channel. Who knows, maybe you’ll feature one that’s available. 😜
Hi Ben, Welcome. Happy to read you had a fun car too. Sad to read you had an accident :-( If you type into CZcams search "My Car Story with Lou Road Runner" or "My Car Story with Lou 1969 Road Runner" or "My Car Story with Lou 1970 Road Runner" I think you'll see many you'll enjoy. Regrading cars for sale, I do occasionally get involved in the sale of a few of the cars too. Goodday Lou,
Hope you & your family are all well with all the snow I am reading about.
You got my email regarding the recent record for an Aussie Muscle Car paid the other day.
What a beautiful B Body. Some colour just look that much better with a black vinyl roof & Tor Red is one of those colours.
Great survivor, great story, love those pistol grip shifter.

Wonderful Road Runner! One of my favourite color combination for a '70 RR. Beep! Beep!
Hi Plymouth Die-Cast Replicas, Happy to read you enjoy this car :-) Lou
the last of the best!
:-)
Correction: The engine was only 240, not 340 for a V6 engine.
thank you for the clarification.
RED OR ORANGE THAT CAR IS AWESOME
NICE :-)
the right number of pedals! meep meep
:-)
Just a classic design
Agreed :-)
Looks just like mine.
Nice :-)

Hey hi Lou good morning you know nice car but 1969 had the best front end
Hey Elliott, Good morning. Happy to read you enjoy the looks of this front end :-) Lou
👍 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍
High praise :-)
This car is nice and how many miles on this car
Glad you think this car is nice. Not sure on the miles.
Wouldn’t be the same with a battery pack and electric motors. Tesla may be faster but there’s no substitute for cubic inches. Those were the days when a V8 ruled Lou!
Hi Ron, Thank you for viewing and sharing, Lou
Downvote from the car show attendee whose toupee was inhaled by the "Hair Grabber" scoop.

As always I really appreciate those survivor cars. These are great reference sources to keep my own cars correct. I prefer keeping a car original and enjoy the car as it came new .
Hi Chris, "I really appreciate those survivor cars. These are great reference sources to keep my own cars correct" I agree. My pleasure sharing this one with you, Lou
