I am a proud Christian of indian descent.
My observation: As a Hindu majority, the culture will automatically be hindu centric.. naturally. However, the hindus and christians and other religions were passive, but as there was some assertiveness from the muslim side, i assume the hindu side decided to be unapologetic about being themselves and decided not to be pushed around by various forces because they felt lost without feeling roooted and also it was difficult to establish a proper national identity or a cohesive vision for the future or a sense of civilization.
Bharat aspires to be a civilization and a nation and produce thoughts and ideas authentic to itself because it saw how the west abandoned its own judeo Christian values and embraced post modernism. India didn't want to buy into the post modernist lie and risk loosing its 4000 year civilization history or lineage or identity.

Very true. Islam is monotheistic and non Muslims are called infidels. I am not saying every Muslim thinks this way ,but certainly some Mullahs and Madrasas preach this ideology. There are no such problems with others such as christians and Parsis for example. The fact that Muslims voted en bloc meant that they had an out sized influence on politics in some states such as UP, Bihar, WB, etc. Minority appeasement under congress was really a problem Indians had to deal with and that's why BJP has been successful.

UK does not discriminate non Christians - Hindus Freely can practice their Faith.
UK has a Christian Heritage and that is good.
India has a Hindu Heritage - Modi our Beloved Prime Minister can inaugurate Ayodhya Temple
And even be installed in Hindu Ceremony - no problem.

Created a separation from the society 'we and they'. we don't know what's happening outside our religion, also we don't want to be, we couldn't until I started learning by myself. people wondering how can we do this. yes you can do this by staying in your religion or beliefs also supporting your culture, custom that was created thousand of years ago in your own land , by your Ancestors. its simple as that.

Bingo. If only other Abrahamic followers in India would realize this. No Hindu will EVER ask you to convert. In fact, it's more common for Hindus to tell people to stay in their own religion, but learn to appreciate and accept others faiths that are different from then. As you stated, Abrahamic faiths teach humans that their version of god is the only way and that causes tension with other humans. In a society where we have people who have since converted believing that Hinduism is bad, wrong ,etc. yet their ancestors were clearly Hindu and they are currently living on said Hindu land, it's highly disrespectful. There'd be no issue if these people moved to socieities that better reflect their values and beliefs- we all have a right to be happy and we are lucky to live in a world with many countries and socities to choose from. The issue with some non-Hindus, and let's be honest even Hindus, is that they want to live in a predominantly Hindu society, on land that is historically Hindu, etc and then complain and criticize Hindus, Hinduism, etc. That's like living in Israel and b/tching about hating Jews or living in Mecca and trashing Muslims everyday. Makes zero sense. Happy that while Hindus like me are also waking up so are other non-Hindus. Everyone can be happy and content in their own faiths, but also respect and cherish the religion of their ancestors and the majority of this country and land. It really shouldn't be this hard.

Indian education is influenced by west. Just look at China and far eastern countries they are proud of their culture and heritage.

If you want to throw away all that, its for our own peril. Even India's constitution and laws are a British influenced Product, to deny that is to live in an imaginary fantasy.

Hinduism has imparted the concept of pluralism to the West. Historically, the Western notion of a nation centered around the uniformity of factors such as race, religion, language, or skin color. The belief was that coexistence was only possible among those who shared these similarities. It seems ironic when Western nations suggest that embracing Hindu values leads to less pluralism. In reality, being a Hindu inherently embodies pluralism, and it requires a lack of understanding to perceive it otherwise.

This idiotic question deserves a reply accordingly…
The founding principles of partition ; existence of the Indian state; the presence of the community/religion & its historical significance ; the current statute of minorities in Pakistan & the State’s inherent nature- this determines India’s position throughout.
The sheer dissonance of the panel member’s question, designed by readers of WaPo & NYTs of the world reeking in ignorance, racism, xenophobia & a deep interest in cultural elimination of only surviving Pagan (NonAbrahamic) religion/culture/community of the world
    is not surprising at all.
They don’t even deserve a straight answer, only contempt & disgust.

Not to mention these idiots wouldn’t know about Waqf board laws regarding owning & claiming lands or the massive state control of Hindu temples, direct interference of the state & the judiciary in Hindu rituals & their community funds- which not only violates all principles of secularism avowed by the philosophers but also played significant part in totally destroying the fabric of the Hindu society & pushing the major part of our communities, the lower strata, into abject poverty & out of Hindu social fold - a life without dignity (thanks to the immense mental poisoning of all of the different social groups).
There are huge challenges in the Indian society & in no part, has it just been the making of only 1 person/group or community.

Every Time when any Western country leader, any country or press media host brings the topic of Indian Secularism, the Indian leaders or Indian diplomatic persons or minister must in these forums must ask or highlight a simple information below
A SECULAR DEMOCRATIC Country will have National Public Holidays for all faiths equally.
In India Diwali, Christmas & Ramzan are all celebrated as national Public holidays where the whole country celebrates.
In USA, EU, UK, ETC., its ONLY Christmas, GOOD FRIDAY, EASTER that gets a National Public Holidays. NO PUBLIC NATIONAL HOLIDAYS whatsoever for Diwali, Ramzan, etc., in any of the so-called WESTERN SECULAR DEMOCRACIES.
The Western Leaders & countries are NOT TRULY SECULAR DEMOCRATIC😢.

This interviewer comments at 0:10, "India of today is different from the India of the Nehru Era." The Nehru Era ended in 1964. That was 60 years ago. How many of India's 1.4 Bn population of today remember the Nehru Era? The late PM, Mrs Indira Gandhi, started steering India out of the Nehruvian Policies. Nehru "Devotees" (Party Elders) in the Congress Party resented her initiatives. She stood on her ground. Her detractors in the party resented her so much that they expelled her from the party. What happened? Her supporters in the party, a new generation, also "expelled themselves" and followed her. This became the Congress (I) Party. The Old (Original) Party became "extinct" within a decade. Congress (I) became the "Survivor."
A milestone to be remembered is how quickly India broke away from the Nehruvian Foreign Policy (Yes Sir! You are right, and we are wrong!) just a little over a year after Nehru's demise (27 May 1964). In early August of 1965, the Pakistan Military attacked India. The successor to Mr Nehru, the Esteemed Mr Lal Bahadur Shastri stood up to his name. Bahadur = The Courageous Warrior. Mr Shastri mobilised the Indian Armed Forces and repelled the invasion. He did not stop at that. He wanted to teach a lesson to the Rank and File of the Pakistan Armed Forces. Indian army, in pursuit of the invaders, had reached the suburbs of Lahore (Pakistan). At that time, The Man in Command of Pakistan was Mr Mohammad Ayub Khan, who had seized power through a Coup d'Etat, promoted himself to the rank of Field Marshal and named himself the President of the Country. Mr Khan literally shit in his pants and beseeched his masters (LBJ of the US and Wilson of the UK) for intervention. LBJ phoned Mr Shastri and threatened with a Grain Embargo. Mr Shastri's answer was short and Bahadur-like. "Do it!" he said. In the end, "Field Marshall Mohammad Ayub Khan cum the President of Pakistan pleaded with India for a ceasefire and withdrawal. The Tashkent Agreement.
Of course! Nehruvian Foreign Policy went into oblivion and a Roaring India broke out from its cage. Of course, India has been Roaring ever since. It has been Indian India. India that is Bharat!
I hope this interviewer, whatever his name, will read this.
