I was there about two years ago and was blown away by how good the food was. The town itself was so much fun, I had a blast.
Most of your foods looked delicious i could try most of those 🤔😋Thank you Jay 🙂👍!!!
Always wanted to see the Big Easy. Thanks for giving me yet another reason to go!!
I did enjoy parts of your video, especially the part at Court of Two Sisters and Drago’s, which are two staples of any food tour in New Orleans. As a native, I do think you should do a real po boy place like Domilise’s or Parkway instead of Joey K’s which is good but not one of the best. Also, you should include a Sazarac, which is a little more traditional NOLA drink. Other restaurants that are very worthy are Peche and Cochon Butcher. I think you would really enjoy the food there compared to the Bombay Club…..
I was thinking the same thing, no sazarac?
🍻
Really appreciate this video as I've been thinking of heading to New orleans as I really want to go on a steam boat! Your videos are the best for travel inspiration 👍
New Orleans. My spiritual home!
I feel that…
Awesome job jay thumb up.
We’re going to New Orleans next week for vacation & I’ll definitely be booking a food tour 😃 thank you for this video it helped a LOT on where to go for food ❤
im glad! Have a great time in NOLA!
NOLA's Food and Music is so comforting. Gosh you made me hungry! Really nice vid, Jay! Thank you :)
That's the only reason I go to Nola, for the food and atmosphere! Otherwise I don't visit. Too hot during the summer, I go during the Christmas holidays.
Man. Orale, the food looks awesome. These vlogs are fun, bro. Keep it up. PS: one word...Beignets!!!!!
Great video! And thanks for showing love to the Padres.
Enjoyed watching you, enjoying N.O. cuisine. So nice.
No local eats gumbo at a restaurant.. you have to go to the local seafood stores. Visitors please try Cajuns on Broad or Broadview Seafood. These small Asian and Arab run places is where we get our sandwiches from. They normally hire a black woman and steal her recipe.
Hello Mr. Jaycation. I just subscribed. 😊🍻🍺
So delightful Cajun food! Love it!
All the food looks amazing Jay. I’ve never been to New Orleans before unfortunately
This made me so hungry I miss New Orleans
I'll be going to NOLA next year, cant wait
Great video Jaycation!👍
Warning: Do not watch while hungry!
These are facts!!
This was so much fun! Can't wait to hang again at the next TBEX!
Jay looking fresh like always 😊
I was just at Winco and I saw tiny little hot sauce bottles and I automatically thought of you 😂. If you don’t have any packets and don’t want to carry a big bottle those are perfect to put in a pocket
need noise filter bro
Thanks!
Thanks for the Super Chat Daniel!
mais bruh you in my neck of the woods!
No Dookie Chase, no Willie Mae Scotch house, no Little Dizzy's Cafe 😢
Jay is swinging for the fence with this trip to NOLA- on the way to 100K
Muffuletta and po Boys. Both so good
Don't forget the oysters!
I used to live in Slidell Louisiana I miss the food there !
I'm glad you drink gin inspired cocktails. I love gin and all my friends always say " oh taste like pine needles!" They don't get it. Great vid Jay!
Jay, you wear the coolest shirts
Anyone recommend a good place for crawfish etoufee, will be with husband birthday , he wants to eat that. Please and thank you

I feel like that when I eat some good eats as well..
I wish you had showed the jambalaya at Court of Two Sisters. I would liked to have seen the difference in what Cajun jambalaya looked like.
I LOVED LOVED LOVED the chargrilled oysters I had at Felix's in the FQ. They were so delish and you're right....DEFINITELY worth the wait.
as a cajun/creole myself i grew up cooking cajun jambalaya i prefer it because its rustic & robust compared to creole jambalaya. i guarantee you if you go to any restaurant outside of Louisiana and they have jambalaya on the menu it will always be creole jambalaya because its easier to make in my opinion
Great stuff Jay, I would love to visit New Orleans someday but being from England I would likely need to combine it with a trip somewhere else, would you recommend anywhere? Perhaps Atlanta (my US geography is not great but assume that's the nearest big tourist city).
definitely not Atlanta if you seeking good food. i would do Chicago or Houston along with new Orleans
Savannah Georgia or Charleston SC in the south
I think they have some emeralds restaurants in Vegas.
Good video. But that it not a shepherd pie. A tiny blob of potatoe in the middle. Lol. So funny. But rest of food looks good. X
This makes me want to go back to New Orleans 😫...Just gonna have to lose 50 lbs so I can eat all that food once again 🎉🎉🎉😂
Are you there now? Dude said there was a Saints game tomorrow. Its July?
hands down, Cafe Beignet!
Agree with the one guy You don't go to New Awlin's for Cajun Food!
Good content, if background noise can be minimized would be awesome
Please shows the price of food
i wish he also traveled with creole foodie.
It's hard to understand you Jay sometimes bec of d background noise.
Yea , the beginning was a little ruff , but it had good video quality afterward .
New Orleans is the most haunted city in the nation and has the best food!
Damn, that guy next to you just wouldn't stop talking...
Nonsense, Cheers from Chalmette.
I don't know what the Cajun man talking about but my Grandmother and family never used tomato in our Gumbo which is called Creole Gumbo, not Cajun , I'm from New Orleans borned and Raise, We have a lot more Creole dishes, But doesn't put them out for fear other Cultures taking them , as we see here , if the Okra came from Africa, how can it be called Cajun ,
I share the same sentiments. Gumbo is traditionally a creole dish so I was confused on what he was talking about.
i understand this has been a conversation across Louisiana for the longest. i was born and raised in acadiana myself I eat it all but it is different depending on location. i know okra means gumbo im familiar with the African/Caribbean culture, the creole tomatoes, file', in the gumbo you name it..... we all grew up cooking it different like yall put file' in the gumbo while its cooking we dont do that we add it to our bowl if we want it. we dont put okra in it until we actually making okra gumbo we all just cooking stuff to our liking basically. i put smoked turkey necks, smoked rib peices, fresh shrimp, dry shrimp, smoked sausage , hen, tasso etc.. in my gumbo thats just how i was raised cooking and eating it
Your partner from Lafayette knows for a fact, food in Acadiana is much much more traditional Louisiana than what you get in the tourist areas in New Orleans. Not that New Orleans food isn't good... It is much better near Lafayette in Acadiana.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣Tell that to the Entire World 🤣🤣You sound crazy
@@brandymcbride6534 you obviously haven't been able to compare the different Louisiana areas, The Acadiana area of Louisiana is were true Cajun food comes from... Not tourist food. Do some research.
2nd......to nun....
The Cajun travelers opinions were annoying. He doesn’t know Nawleans.
Probably a red Bell Pepper
All good but there is no bread, never ever, in shepherds pie. wtf?
I’m not eating McDonald’s anymore
I hate brown jambalya, also don't like gumbo west of Baton Rouge! Just me, give me creole every time.
Visited a couple of years back. Was not impressed. A oversell. Not like the old New Orleans , prior, Katrina.
raw oysters 🤢
US Food has to much chemical, who eat this
Me
Please don't ever bring bro dude momma's boy again to talk about food. Eating the best food in the world ama whining because mommy didn't make it.
Wow it's too much talking in your mic I can't enjoy what you're saying
SAINT PAUL'S MARCHING WOLVES!!!!!!!
I'll probably take a lot of heat for saying this, but New Orleans is not a city that I enjoyed. The foods are great but I'm not a fan of the city. 😬
Why?
@@2HEARMEOUT Why I didn't enjoy New Orleans? Because the city is unattractive and it's way too hot and humid for me. If you go outside of Bourbon Street, there's not much to see or do. Most of the places that I've seen look old and in poor conditions. Nothing against the people that lives there, the city itself just isn't my cup of tea.
Great city to visit.
Gotta agree. Might have been just the places we picked, but the icing on the cake for me was a restaurant around the FQ, went to the bathroom and saw the food being cooked outside on a grill snuggled in between 2 dumpsters, with both cooks with cigarettes hanging out their mouths.
There’s really nothing to do there but eat and drink.!
