Barry, I miss you so much! Hope you and all your family are wonderfully spectacular!! I haven't been doing as well as I had hoped I would be after chemo therapy, radiation and immunotherapy!! Seems like I have been dealing with one thing after another. I have developed a terrible side effect called lymphodema. My entire body is suffering from swelling and pao pain. Please send prayers my way. The Drs. are stumped as naturally I am not reacting to things the way they had anticipated.

He is a young autistic Chinese rock singer who is an amazing performer. He is not your ordinary singer/songwriter. He came in 2nd in 2018 on the Singer and won the competition in 2020. Hope you give him a look up!!

The guy who has done their mixing since day 1 (Ed Boyer?) and Ben Bram have been quite transparent about how their signature sound is created. They both recently did in-depth interviews with a CZcamsr (Jacob Restituto) where they were very open about the arrangement tricks and production tweeks (reverb, layering, looping, autotune) to make the studio versions perfect…they are just 5 people and anyone with common sense should know there are limits to the human voice; furthermore we can find videos where they screwed up and sound like crap. We can also pull up any number of videos where they are singing with no mike, no production, just their raw voices…and they sound like frickin alien angels.
Their strategic use of production doesn’t take away from the fact that they are insanely talented, naturally gifted, creative musicians fully capable of singing these songs live…it just means they are imperfect humans like everyone else.
Barry, you are the best! I love your reviews. You make me smile, and you love Pentatonix and you’re cute, too. What’s not to love? Keep playing Pentatonix, please!
