GWR Castle Centenary - 5043 & 7029 on the mainline 4/3/2023

March 4th saw two double chimney Castles doublehead on the mainline, the first time to of happened in preservation. 7029 Clun Castle and 5043 Earl of Mount Edgcumbe pair up with a Vintage Trains shareholder's private charter from Birmingham Snow Hill to Didcot and back. This was also the return of 5043 following a major overhaul. The pair are first seen emerging from Harbury Tunnel on he outward run. On the return working the pair are seen racing along the mainline at Kings Sutton and roaring up Hatton Bank.
Nice to be back to filming again in Great Western style after a near six month hiatus from filming.
