Snowmobile trip lasted one minute and 50 seconds

- Please notice the uncaring girlfriend pulling up behind me... She thought I was looking for something on the ground while I was desperately trying to get my breath back, LOL! I got out of the ordeal with only a couple bruised ribs. The Go Pro jinxed me!

I’ve personally never hit anything going that slow before, except the throttle 😂
The sled was tipping to the right. Leaning to the left would have helped. Knowing the sled and your personal your limitations are a must. Starting the trip slower until you know the trail conditions would also be a good idea. Thanks for posting. Good lesson for beginners. Last time I hit a tree it was because I was playing around. Lucky for me it didn't end the trip.
Your prior riding experience was also 1 minute 50 seconds.
Never add throttle in mid turn.....HAHAHA
@@billschock5467 not unless your carbides are 60’s and very sharp! 🤭
@@offthecuffadventureswithjamie lmao 🤣 ya or a heavy guy that can throw the sled around like a lil tike toy 🧸🤣🤣🤣
So you got any more vids?
I'd like to see what else you hit.
lmfao.
🧐😂😂😂😂
Always look where you want to go. You look at Tree...You hit Tree
@@Thomas-xp5wc steering wheel?
@drunk my bad that was a accident
I think he was going to fast and his carbides are junk
So true
Just run those carbides right down to plastic. Big money saver.
George George George of the jungle, watch out for that tree! (Sorry, couldn’t resist)
Appreciate you posting this. Helps others learn and avoid the same mistakes.
Your wife must be a proud woman. Jesus that was terrible. LOL
LOL
Hey glad to see you where staying right on the trail. Unlike others who cause accidents with other sleds by cutting tight corners.
By the look of the snow fence your not the first one to miss that corner..bummer
In my group, the first rule has always been "Don't get bark on your sled"!
Well, first snow looks wet, second going too fast for not leaning, third and most important them front shocks waaay too tight- ski lifts, some people just can’t ride
He's riding a couch on skis.... Not a race sled. Ha
That sucks man, sorry to see this. Best of luck in the future.
If this guy just kept turning he would have not crashed but he thought that turning into the tree was a better idea
Did those ski's have worn out skegs? It sure looked like that sled was sliding around way too much and not biting into the snow as it should
nah, look at the slomo, hes just an inexperienced rider... he got inside ski lift, which anyone who has spent time on a sled knows happens, and turned into it instead of trusting the machine. carbides arent going to do much in that kind of snow unless they are brand new.
I'm just glad you're Ok. Thanks for posting.
You got it pretty well centered on that tree.
When you see sections of fence torn up by previous accidents, the challenge has been set!
I agree with other comments that machine was sliding around a lot.
They recommend carbides or other fixes for the skegs.
Ya he took the tree like a trooper. Personally I would of bailed off tucked and rolled cause it would be much less painful. I'll never understand why people don't stud their tracks and buy better carbides cause yours Cleary either wore out or factory crap cause your all over and can't steer for crap
Target fixation gets em every time!
Stay on the couch and watch these videos instead, much safer.
And that’s a pretty shiny brake lever in the vid just BEFORE your throttled and doinked the tree.
Lmao
You sound like my mom u damn couch potato
@@jadenwilliams2863 shut up loser noone asked what he sounded like
LOL !!!
Lets be honest here. The conditions sucked and you just wanted to go back home. I have a friend that pulls the same shit all the time. Instead of admitting that he is cold or just doesn't want to ride, he fakes injuries so that he can get out of riding.
Yeah because crashing into a tree at about 20mph coming around a turn doesn’t hurt at all.
Unlikely
Hahahh
Hopefully you didn’t get hurt. Looks like you could of used some new carbides . Good luck on the next ride . Get back on that horse cowboy!!!
That's weird that happened, who knew that turning directly into the tree would cause you to hit the tree
It's called a break lever.. use it.. And get some curve x's skis and then you can actually TURN
really, that thing doesn't even turn correctly
Brake
It needs new carbides
Maybe not
Its called spell check...
Ouch man, been there, I hope this season was a better run :)
"When In Doubt Throttle Out" did not apply in that situation... Good to see you were not seriously injured.
Icy corner, sled pushed, and no where to go but into the tree. It happens. Sorry about the sled, glad you got up!
the two girls made it though! ahahahahahaha
the two girls made it though! ahahahahahaha
a quick pull on the brake and a hard left lean would have slid ya right into place
Really?? because I saw a huge opening to the right...
There's a reason the trail Authority put a yellow caution arrow pointing to the left before the curve. It means you should slow down and take this one easy.
Also, some nice carbide runners on those skis would have helped dig in and you might have avoided a direct hit
More brake at entry to get ass to slide over you would of missed tree. Ive been in that spot before . i learned.. Body engish is your best friend.. Use ur wieght ..
Fresh Carbides would have helped, you had no grip on that icy trail.
Much slower and he would have been stopped. Lack of maintenance and lack of ability
Whiskey bottles, brand new cars, Oak tree is in my way.....
Dang bro that sucks. At least you have the memory, and video. Hope you got stright, and back out there.
Doesn't appear to be any carbides on those skis. Leaning wouldve helped a bit too...
also not juicing it at the last moment
His suspension isn't set up correctly.
Might want to get some new 6 or 8 inch carbide runners for those icy corners. Glad your okay.
Were you drunk?
Birch00112 no
LMAO
Ouch. Only bruised ribs was a good outcome. glad you're OK>
Exactly, I was watching for blood on the snow but fortunate guy. I took my windshield right in the nose once. Didn't end the ride though!
gotta watch for those vertical speedbumps
I have the Exact sled, Slow Down!! Glad you didn't get too seriously hurt.
No Brake - No lean - end up hi-siding in wrong direction. What were you expecting?
"Honey, why did you drive into a tree?"
In the famous words of Phil Swift “That’s a lot of damage!”
He hit a rut and turned right into it
Runners bro you knew this and you didn’t change them.
Ya nailed her squarely boss!
really sucks to think that you could've just drove off the trail. haha hope everything's alright
Even without the wreck this did not look like fun. Cold, noisy and obviously unable to steer the damn thing.
That tree jump rite out in front of him !!😆
I wouldn’t want to ride a car with this dude driving
Judging by snow fence this is a problem area l. Sorry for your Loss hope she's fixed
The tree saw you having a little trouble keeping right in the beginning of your ride so it helped you out 🙃
Ooook that labored breathing, you know he is in pain.. Ouch man.
Even a 10 mph hit like that hurts
Can't believe a tank like that can't turn. Maybe a little more brake and a little sideways throw with the hips.
Runners were shot
Heavy 4 stroke moment
Old saying round here....."ride fast in the trees.....die fast in the trees"...
Ya gotta lean into that turn, son!
Lean! Sled doesn't turn itself. He hit one little rut and bucked him straight into a tree.
Snow trackers would have been handy on that Yammy 😎👍
🤣🤣🤣🤣 bro that's an expensive mistake
Dude your a terrible driver,
Take down this video!
Now That's GOOD ADVICE !!!!
Looks to me like a case of object fixation.
Im all for people getting out and enjoying the snow but come one! That’s scary this person was out on the trails.
Well done
I felt bad liking this hope your ok dude
good carbide helps alot with slide offs
Top heavy four stroke. They roll instead of turn.
A new set of 10 inch carbides every year is worth every penny.
Damn that pole jumped right out in front of you.
This guy should not be on a snowmobile!!! He's dangerous to everyone else not only himself
that almost happened to me but i did not hit the tree and when that happens it is so fast you do not have the time to jump off or lean
yup thats all operator right there
Why'd ya juice it when you were aimin at the tree?
Carbides seem to be worn cause the skis were sliding rather than digging and turning on what seemed to be very hard packed cause of all the traffic that has gone through there. Plus always ride with 1 finger on the brake just in case you need to use it right away.
Hey our soft wood is pretty hard !! Rookie !
Those things have brakes you know.
And this is why you slow tf down in sharp corners until you learn what the sled will handle. Be careful is all i can say at least your mostly okay
It looks like that tree has been hit before. Many times.
Turned to the RIGHT INTO TREE.. Hope sleds ok............
I hope the tree is ok after being hit by that Yamatank
Ouch . Glad you weren't going faster
I did the same thing in my own backyard. All you can do is laugh.
May I suggest Bergstrom triple point carbides.
I felt that one
Glad you're good, but that tree clearly moved into your path.
That was fantastic!!! Ha!!!
I am betting this was a rental and that you had never been on a snowmobile previously.
Must be his first time riding, I would have blown by the other sled be at the bar before the dust settled. Snow dust that is!
Never touched the brakes lol
Dam tree jumped out of nowhere…😁
what happens your ski and track grab a hard spot and that you can not turn this has happened to me i know what what happens
There's some ice there...
So how again did this happen?
You put zero effort into leaning, braking or steering into that easy simple corner. That is why you hit that tree. I’d consider another winter activity, maybe bird watching or walking.
Hahahahahahahah
Wow just wow
WOW...I guess this explains why we have speed limits 10 mph and you still can't make the corner. lol just poking some fun hope your alright.
hahaha....that poor tree!
Yep, why does everyone forget about the brake, his thumb was still on the gas🤷🏼♂️
I've never seen so many experts in one comment section.
So true .... I never though this video would attract so many trolls ...
And that's my argument for double 8's. Yes they are expensive but cheaper than fixing tree damage.
At the bar later *so we were hitting technical trails in the country 8ft powder*
Panic mode set in if he kept it turned left good when he bailed on the left turn he should have committed to splitting the trees but panicked and went back to going left lol
I mean, do you really have to start the slow-mo 35 seconds before the moment of impact? Takes forever to get to the part that we're supposed to be paying attention to
Looks like that thing needs some suspension setup and carbides. You pushed through every corner before that one. Also, get a TechVest. You wouldn't have gotten the wind knocked out of you if you were wearing one.
