  • Hi everyone, recently I was hook-up with this Korean drama series on Netflix called Start-Up to which I was inspired to make Korean-style hot dogs a.k.a. Korean Corn dogs. ☆ ~('▽^人)

    START-UP CAST & SUMMARY
    "Start-Up" is one of the most awaited K-Dramas of 2020.
    Two top Hallyu stars are starring in this drama. It is none other than Suzy ("Dream High", "Gu Family Book", "Uncontrollably Fond", "While You Were Sleeping", "Vagabond") and Nam JooHyuk ("Who Are You: School 2015", "Cheese in the Trap", "Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo", "Weightlifting Fairy Kim BokJoo", "The Bride of HaBaek", "Dazzling").
    Kim SeonHo ("Welcome to Waikiki 2", "Catch The Ghost") and Kang HanNa ("Familiar Wife", "Designated Survivor 60 Days") are also the lead actors
    The writer of this drama is Park HyeRyun ("Dream High", "I Can Hear Your Voice", "Pinocchio", "While You Were Sleeping") and the director is Oh ChungHwan ("You Who Came from the Stars", "Doctors", "While You Were Sleeping", "Hotel del Luna").
    Summary:
    It tells the story of young people who dream of success and who start working in start-ups in the Korean Silicon Valley. It tells their 'START' and their growth 'UP'.

    KOREAN HOT DOGS - KOREAN CORNDOGS, CHEESE CORN DOGS
    Ingredients:
    190 grams of bread flour
    80 grams of glutinous rice flour
    150ml + 15ml water total of 165ml ( you can add another 20-25ml depending on the protein content of your bread flour)
    2 grams of bread improver (optional)
    3 grams of salt
    30 grams of powdered buttermilk
    3 grams of yeast
    30 grams of sugar
    30ml of vegetable oil
    1 small-sized potato
    1 small-sized sweet potato
    3-4 pieces sausages
    mozzarella cheese
    chopsticks
    ketchup
    mayonnaise
    mustard

    Can I just use flour without the buttermilk?
    Can I put the prepared corndog in the fridge?
    Do I have to fry it and put it in the fridge and then re-fry?

      Hi Meg, slr yes you can without the buttermilk replace it with powdered milk if available. And yrs you can put it in the fridge. Have fun cooking ❤️

      Hi Hazel! I had tried it before when I was on trial and error doing this recipe. I had some leftovers and refrigerated the batter. Then the next day after refrigerating it, I rest the batter at room temperature for at least 40 minutes or until double it size. Or you do the half portion if it's too much for you.       Hi Viella, it took me 2 hours para mag-rise yung dough ng ganyan. Pero depende yan sa room temperature ng lugar mo. Or until mag double in size na yung dough mo ready na sya. You can turn on the CC sa video for more tips. Good luck and happy cooking! 😊

      It is. I wonder if i’m keeping it too long in the fryer or need to freeze cheese a little or maybe a different mozzarella cheese, something harder. Will have to try again next time. Thanks!

      I think i-freezer mo muna 30minutes(?) para tumigas mozzarella cheese.
      Then balutin sa batter/dough at breadcrumbs.
      Then prito agad para maluto na ang coating... at para hindi bigyan ng oras na lumambot ang mozzarella cheese habang nasa labas ng freezer.
