Recreating a Shot From Euphoria Using Only One Light

In today's video I attempted to recreate a shot from one of my favorite shows, Euphoria, using only one light. I think the cinematography and lighting in Euphoria is some of the best in the game and since I'm often using it as inspiration I wanted to see how close I could come to actually replicating it.

Leica R f2.8 35mm Lens
One LED light
Fog Machine
Black Sheet for Negative Fill

This is excellent for two reasons:
1. Attempting to get a Hollywood-esque image with limited crew/resources debunks the myth of “more is better.”
2. Doing the best you can on set has you thinking critically in post of what you can do to further improve the image.

Great job! Trial and error is so rewarding. Maybe I missed it, but you I dice recall you talking about your camera settings🤔
I know it was a heavier grade/masking etc to get the color contrast you were looking for. But I wonder how close/easier it could have been achieved by playing temperature in camera alongside composing your shot first🤔
That was my out loud thought I’m curious about not taking away of any of your work and great effort 👏🏾
