- Poland will deliver an additional 60 PT-91 Twardy tanks to the Ukrainian military to help it fend off Russia's aggression, in a move hailed on Friday by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, Poland has been one of the largest contributors in Europe of military aid to Ukraine. Indeed, the Polish government has already donated to Ukraine more than 230 T-72M and T-72M1R to Ukraine as well as 14 German-made Leopard 2A4 tanks coming from its military inventory. - Věda a technologie

This makes me embarrassed that my country Canada has only sent 8 Leopard tanks to Ukraine. It should be 80 not 8. Our Leopards were built and purchased for one reason, to defend against Russian aggression in Europe. Today we see this very scenario! Better to have Canadian Leopards in the fight rather than sitting in storage until they are completely obsolete. Excellent work Poland, an ascending leader in Europe. Glory to all defenders of Ukraine!!

Yes PT-91s are old but better than early T-72 and there are around 60 of them. Sixty! This time. I am proud of my country that does not hide but tries to do what it takes to help Ukraine defend themselves against russian aggression.

The French seemed OK when Britain landed it's ships and soldiers all them years ago and 1000's of brits died on their shores defending it. Not long later and they where back to the same old French 🙄. I've been treated like a mongrel when I visited France because of my british passport. Let's just say I won't be going back. And if France ever gets attacked again I hope the brits turn their backs.

What Poland is giving is Peanuts compared to what they will make helping to rebuild Ukraine after this war is over.
Poland probably never forget after Russia, that's why Western Europe should be reminded of Russia being equal to Nazi Germany and the consequences afterwards for most Western countries. Now imagine the great famines we had and compare that to the lives of old USSR states like Poland and Ukraine, hopefully they'll understand then what it means for our Eastern neighbors.
I think Estonia and Lithuania did more per capita but we're somewhere there in the top three. Also, with whole respect to the Baltics, Poland has quite some power so the net contribution is really making big difference both for military and population, which surprised me even as a Polish.
Currently sat in Poland on a holiday whilst watching this - the Poles have been bloody magnificent during this time of Ukraine's need. No idea what the Polish equivalent of Slava Ukraine is but if I did I'd be shouting it out.

PT-91 "Hard" are not old. These tanks are about 10~15 years younger than the Leopard 2. It's a class between the Russian T-80 and T-90 and only because the 125 mm gun has not been changed which is already older than the 120 mm NATO standard technology. Production costs PT-91 ~$4.9 million where the Russian T-90 costs ~$4.5 million

PT(Polish Tank) 91 Twardy ( Hard ) is the best modernisation of T72 in world and Poland give totally more then 300 tanks to Ukraine plus few hundred Armour Personnel carriers BWP1 and howitzers Gozdzik we also give them rifles Grot in thousands antie aircrafts GROM missile systems Mig 29 and older plains Helicopters like Hinds etc and Polish Krab howitzers Fuel and ammunition blood and medications and this is not stop because Poland is Ally you can count on
It is far from the best, but it is still pretty good.
Totally, it will be ca over than 500 tanks and because ultimately Poland is to hand over all its older tanks, except for the polonized Leopards 2PL and the part of the Leos that are intended for modernization to the 2PL version. The number of BMP-1 IFVs that Poland will also hand over to the Ukrainians is unknown, but I've heard of ca 500 - 600 BMPs. We (soldiers and civilians) just now (!!!) we are fighting for everything, fighting for the future of this part of the world. All this can be found in the pages of history. Kind regards - S. The PT Twardy is a good tank, a very deep modernisation of the T-72 that Poland made in the 1990s, it can calmly challenge all the tanks that Russia currently has.
That isn't true, at least not frontally and one on one, but it can still pose a threat from the sides.

I live in Poland, I remember when the war started, Poland received a lot of immigrants, my family took home a Ukrainian woman with two daughters, she lived with us for 3 months, then she rented an apartment with a friend. Fortunately, Poland managed to get out of the Soviet influence and join NATO and the EU. If it hadn't happened, it would be like Belarus here. For a long time in Poland, Russia has been considered a danger, we are close to her and we know about Putin's imperial tendencies. Poland has the greatest interest in Russia losing this war, in Poland it is said - The weaker Russia is, the safer it is in the region. This war united Europe, all countries send aid, Putin hoped that by making Germany dependent on gas, he would blackmail Europe, but he was wrong. Not quite. Erawa and Erawa-2 ERA that is mounted on it is very effective against cumulative and tandem warheads. It had better performance than Niż (Knife) ERA during live rounds test made by Ukraine.

We have about 1600 mothballed, Poland-produced, T-72 tanks that we will donate o Ukraine. They are being refurbished in the Bumar tank factory + a servicing and refurbishment line for Ukrainian T-64 tanks that became operational there a few weeks ago. For our Freedom and yours!

We give lots of our things, but we don't get money from EU for that, just like Czechia or Slovakia did.
It costs lots of time and money do get new things to replace these.

neighbors gave thier artyllery and have got new ones from EU.
We imposed an embargo on grain from Ukraine because it was bad for our farmers and also thier grain doesn't have EU standards, which means it is shit and Ukraine imposed an embargo on our productc made from milk.
We don't get anything from giving them our equipment and also they ban our things...
You cant get money from EU because your governmant doesnt listen what EU says they need to do to get money.

It's like Polish invasion into Russia in 1812 under Napoleon command. Now they take orders from Washington. In 1812 it ended bady for Poland so, it will happen again. Russia never loose big wars. Poland always loose , so, their masters too.
As long as Russia does not intend to extend its field operations beyond Russian civilian majority areas or wishing to annex large areas beyond such Russian enclaves then what's the point of enlarging this conflict. Ukraine should stop attacking Donbass. Russia avoid hitting any civilian targets in Ukraine. Discuss who keeps what. Russia will keep Crimea and Donbass at minimum. What should Ukraine now get back? End of conflict.
