I didn’t understand why people compare her manner to Julie - until I saw and heard July😂 I saw this version first and thought “wow this girl is so hot and passionate and expressive!” But then I heard Julie and I was shocked, you really feel her pain and being lost and being teared with ambivalent feelings. Julie makes you feel cry! Though this singer is also bright and artistic… I mean - they are different….
Such beautiful song and such appaling performer. I'm truly sorry to say, but this actress Alyzee Lalande is absolutely displeasing and abhorrent. The previous Fleur-de-Lys performed by beautiful Julie Zenatti was unsurpassed. Regrettably, the new version (2017) of this great musical spectacle «Notre Dame de Paris» - is deplorable, while the old version of 1998 was the unsurpassed chef-d’oeuvre of all times.
Clearly that's just your nostalgia talking. You're absolutely free to prefer the original version, but that doesn't give you the right to use such vicious words to refer to this young performer. What did she ever do to you? She clearly can sing and act. She was chosen among what I'm sure is thousands of capable singers, and as a vocalist myself, I see nothing wrong with her singing. Besides, the fact that she played Fleur-de-Lys in 2017 doesn't take anything away from Julie Zenatti's version. Go watch that and please learn some manners while you're at it.
