I don't think he really explained how to get stripes when you mow that well. It's basically because the mower lays the grass down a certain way when you cut. So, when you go one way , you're laying it down. Then you have to do a 180 degree turn, and go back the other way, right next to the line you just cut, overlapping the previous line a few inches or so. Basically laying the grass down opposite ways, side by side. Always better with the mower on a higher setting...preferably on 3". That's really how I would explain it. 😮

I believe it also depends on the type of grass that is growing! Thick bladed grass vs thin blade! Poor quality lawns equate to bad striping!
