    I've heard they changed the ergonomics on the 24 model. lowered the bars and raised the foot pegs.....that was a HUGE disappointment when I heard that!!! That was a lot of the allure of this bike, the ability to tuck if needed, but mostly upright and fairly comfortable to enjoy longer rides

    • @hamzaz4077
      @hamzaz4077 Před 6 měsíci +5

      The 24 model has both. The new ergonomics your not so happy with although it is a very slight difference, its not that much of a difference. But if even after sitting on the bike and you still dont like the slight change you are able to adjust it to the ergonomics of previous model.

    My 2023 croaked at 19 miles. Had 9 miles already and I put only 10 more.
    It started out with the menu access not working, Would tag the gear looking icon and it would just turn pink for a split second and back to gray. It later would start and low idle
    and would not take throttle. Now at a dealer for a warranty fix.

    I bought a new 2017 base model. I loved the motor and the looks but some functional aspects highlighted where budget costs were saved. The B&W display, primitive front forks and the front suspension was soft. I also felt I was sat on it rather than in it. The worst aspect was a totally rubbish front light, ineffective beam in the dark. The later models have addressed all these issues I had with my 2017. The SP 2024 model interests me, $1700 for the Brembos and Ohlin - defo worth the extra cash in my opinion.

    These are great bikes, super light and fast, too powerful for any beginner. I have ridden them (2021, 2022 models) and just great machines, wheelie machines with all of that torque, great motor!
    I would suggest anyone buying one first check the insurance rates, as they rate them as a sport bike. I have been riding 40+ yrs, no claims, clean record and they want $1,100 a year - (my 2023 Harley Fat Boy costing more that double is just $880) and oddly the more expensive Yamaha Tracer with the same triple motor and saddlebags was only $875, lol. Who knows what ouija board they use? Thanks for the nice video!

      For me, the XSR900 was a mere $315/year with the MT-09 being around $900/year. The XSR900 last year was 900/year. So it's obvious that the MT-09 is being crashed in significant numbers while the XSR900 is being bought by extremely careful riders. It just took history to figure that out.

    I have 2 shops where I am at top of list for 24 SP. I LOVE the maps and larger screen. The seat redesign is nice too as I would slide back when riding hard on my 22 SP that I had to sell to escape CA. Praise Jesus for TN!! I am happy they lowered the bars as I hated the ape hangers. Im concerned about the new peg heights due to my hip flexors but I will stretch more and get a tank pack for my muscle tools. 100% disabled vet with back, neck and hip issues. With them removing the wheel of pain the new switch gear should be amazing, just the turn signals are questionable. But who uses those anyways, come on, we are BMW drivers on 2 wheels (joking, just joking)
