Hello friends,
Welcome back to Swiftlessons for another beginner level guitar tutorial. At the start of one's guitar journey, it's crucial that students master the fundamentals; open chords, lively strumming patterns, and useful embellishments to make their playing sound polished and authentic. In today's lesson, we'll learn to combine the 1.6.4.5 pop hit formula with the essential calypso pattern and walking chord transitions. Together we'll loop through each technique, adding more complex elements as we advance. Let's get started!

1:00 - 1.6.4.5 in G
5:25 - Calypso Pattern
7:40 - Rhythm Practice
9:20 - Walking Transitions
12:08 - Transitions Practice

Brilliant! Thank you! Believe it or not but this is the first time I understood so many details I always struggled with! You are a great communicator and teacher!
I couldn’t agree with you more, a seemingly simple little exercise but it’s packed with lots of tips that will help elevate a guitarist’s understanding and playing. It’s presented very well indeed too. Top stuff!
