  • How to play beginner guitar chords, strumming patterns and transition riffs! Enjoy with TABS & Guitar Pro at / swiftlessons
    Hello friends,
Welcome back to Swiftlessons for another beginner level guitar tutorial. At the start of one's guitar journey, it's crucial that students master the fundamentals; open chords, lively strumming patterns, and useful embellishments to make their playing sound polished and authentic. In today's lesson, we'll learn to combine the 1.6.4.5 pop hit formula with the essential calypso pattern and walking chord transitions. Together we'll loop through each technique, adding more complex elements as we advance. Let's get started!
    0:00 - Introduction
    1:00 - 1.6.4.5 in G
    5:25 - Calypso Pattern
    7:40 - Rhythm Practice
    9:20 - Walking Transitions
    12:08 - Transitions Practice
    14:50 - Combining Techniques
    17:00 - Final Thoughts

Brilliant! Thank you! Believe it or not but this is the first time I understood so many details I always struggled with! You are a great communicator and teacher!

I couldn’t agree with you more, a seemingly simple little exercise but it’s packed with lots of tips that will help elevate a guitarist’s understanding and playing. It’s presented very well indeed too. Top stuff!

This reminded me when my dad was teaching me when I was a child. Great lesson; especially the fingers off and back.

Just in time! I've just retired, and decided to take up the guitar again. I've been trying for years (learnt 6 months, stopped 2 years and so on...). What I lacked was a good teacher. I think I've just found one here, the best one! 😉👍
Merci Rob, je vais me remettre à jouer, avec tes conseils je suis sûr que je vais progresser. Hi from France.
