Well, I'm quite certain that a "full English" generally does not include bird legs with talons, along with beans and sausage. Unless of course you're a Dorset Hobby chick and your Mum feeds you a bird leg with talons when you're barely 2 days old. (Still in shock from that one!). Back to San Jose, clever Alma has managed to elude her sisters with her impressive breakfast and excellent storage techniques. However, the City Hall maintenance crew may be dismayed to find the expensive rooftop equipment covered with prey detritus and PS's. Thanks for the laughs, SKH--great to see the girls learning to fend for themselves. And great work, SJ City Hall Falcon cam ops!

So grateful that there are sisters still in the 'hood--and that you're still capturing their adventures and chronicling their experiences as they prepare to set off on their own. Loved seeing Alma and Lucia together on the louvers last night (only one tonight and I'm not sure which). I'll admit I'm sorry to see the end of this beautiful sisterhood: it wasn't that many days ago that they were playfully bouncing all over the nest level. Thank you , SKH, for all the videos of this very special family.

It may be the same "mystery falcon" up on the ledge of the building high off to the left of Alma. Can be seen at 3:37 minutes. Cam Ops are doing a fantastic job. This was so much fun. After all these years of watching, it gets easier to watch them eat their prey.

It's so funny to me that she stashed it and then left it while looking out for siblings (surely it would make more sense to just keep a grip on it the whole time?), but I guess that is the falcon way. 😁 What a nice look at a meal, thanks!
Maybe Alma is stashing it because it's her own catch of the day? If so, that is great! Surely she could find a better hidden pantry to hide it from her sisters?😆
