    Normally I just don’t have the patience to sit through 1hr+ videos but man, your technique and the way you work is just amazing! I can’t explain it but there’s just something about it that’s not only soothing but also extremely educational, I’ve been drawing for as long as I can remember but I definitely learned something new here.
    Keep doing what you’re doing because it’s mesmerizing!

    ND: thank you for doing these. I have been looking for help with the Copic process for some time from someone who wasn't doing Precious Moments or a Japanese guy with spike hair, and you've got it. This is exactly my style, and each step here has been a help. It's been hugely helpful as I attempt to get back into the game after a long layoff. You've got some crazy talent! I've got all the colors but not the talent, but with your help that's being rectified as much as it can I think. RESPECT

      Same here. Sick to death of the cutesy-pie, big-eyed comix girls endlessly copied-- no originality or imagination, just the same anime princess. What a relief to occasionally find these skilled artists among the tiresome fairies, dragons and spiky hair. Had to go to psychedelics to find truly imaginative. This guy offers classic fine art, marker-style, for adults..

    I've always had trouble finding the right colors to draw a realistic portrait with copics, this helped a lot. I drew along with you too and that helped me the most. I just subscribed, good video man

    • @ricklominguez168
      @ricklominguez168 Před 3 lety +1

      Yeah definitely man. I'm sure you know this already but there's really no set colors for skin tones. I remember some youtuber say this" put down the color you see and not the color you think you see". Of course sometimes the portrait requires you to stay with some certain colors but you can still add in there some interesting color variation.

    I'm not the only one that heard the "not looking like a zombie anymore" part 3 times, right lol?
    It's funny though because I'm working on a sort of anime portrait at the same time so when you'd say, "I'm gonna start the add shadows to the eyes...gotta be careful not to go overboard" I was literally doing the same thing 😂

    Absolutely outstanding work my friend. I love using Copic Markers or any marker for that matter, but I need to improve my control of the marker. I always need colored pencils to help put down the detail and just tidy the work up, but what you have accomplished here mate is outstanding, fantastic. Excellent work mate.

    Im curious to know how you set your camera up without it getting in your way. I have tried to set it up and it only bothers me. tomorrow tho Iam going to attempt to set it up at my art board. I was very proud to see how you weren't afraid of your colors. It takes time, experience , trial and error and relinquishing the desire for perfection to achieve what you have with this piece. Great Job! awesome engagement and knowledge of your markers, colors, tones and highlights.
