XPeng really made some huge improvements here. Subtle, but effective on the exterior and very strongly on the interior. Really starting to become a car that is a viable option against Volkswagen, Mercedes or BMW competitors.
Hi @Pandaily, Superb review of the G9 ;) Here in Europe, Xpeng is not really known (not yet) to the masses. Only smart EVs enthusiasts get to know them. From what I've heard so far, Xpeng is often compared to Nio, Li auto and BYD though I think, they are not targeting the same market and are at very different pace of development. Some says that their international success is determined by how good they perform in the local market. how are the chinese citizen feel about Xpeng in comparison to Nio, Li auto and BYD ? It seems that Evs are developing so fast in China due to harsh competition, it would be interesting to know if, the locals would now considerate more the local manufacturer instead of the old western brands aka VW, BMW, Mercedes, etc ? thx greeting from Luxembourg :)
Fwiw, my understanding is that Xpeng used a particularly high tech glass to protect the lidar in the headlight area from collisions. I think this was from Brian Gu in an interview where he cited some stat re how extremely rare a collision would damage the lidar… I think they used real world P7 collision data to model how rare the lidar location in the G9 would lead to damage.
its to big and truck like, but super luxus cabine. but would love it if is was a (P7) update to P9.. like a sedan with a hatchback opening and V2H option. a real car is NOT a schoolbus

This is a hot car. I guess we can't have this car in the USA the Lidar will be damaged in one week of use. I will move to where G9 is.
