A true stereo recording is NOT a dual anything, as when one plays DIFFERENT music - out of any & all OTHER speakers, to create a fullness & thus a 'surrounding" area of stage, one has a far more interested crowd of listeners. I may now be what some consider to be, a 70+ year old fool, but during the Disco years in the mid-late 1970's I too was a DJ (of Circle Disco in Alexandra NZ) As - happily, I was able to play MORE than one speaker's content - into more than one speaker, (as I had previously discovered WHERE there were NINE different audio channels, inside ANY genuine stereo recording, PLUS we also had a local TV serviceman who provided us with several COLOUR TV's, which were fed some of the "different" music signals, to pulsate those TV's with different signal frequencies that allowed them to produce wildly different "scoping" picture effects. If we had been running what most Club DJ's use (a basic MONO deck output) we would ONLY have had all TV's producing exactly the same "scope" image. I can only Thank my ultimate creator, being whatever created me, which has allowed me to discover many things that audio recording can perform as, when done correctly. Sadly - the audio tech doing the sound recordings for this video, ONLY used a single MONO track, and placed it onto both channels (with the exact same track playing out of them both).

This came on the radio today. It used to be one of my favourite songs when I was a kid because of the beat and it was the times when I didn't bother actually listening to the words.
