OMG!! "Dope" was my first MV from BTS. I'm sobbing!!
You know… “Dope” is supposed to be a little cringy (I mean, that lit chorus tho) ‘cause they’re basically addressing the song to their haters. They're working their asses off while haters were there clubbing. But it also has a message to the youth. Of course, it's BTS we're talking about, right? RM/Namjoon’s verse, for example, was actually explained to international army by DKDKTV channel in their “Explained by a Korean” series. “N posedae” is the generation who has given up on “n” number of things due to economic issues and attends for this decade’s korean generation. So, the “3 posedae” has given up on dating, marriage and giving birth; the “5 posedae” has given up on dating, marriage, giving birth, employment and housing; and the “6 posedae” has given up on dating, marriage, giving birth, employment, housing and human relationships... Basically youth is giving up on their dreams and hope and being pressured by the eldest. So, yeah, they always have something to say to the youth and the society in general. I’m proud. XD

I'm really glad you liked this song because it's such a hype song but when you read the lyrics they are talking about working hard while others are out clubbing they were working all night to achieve their dreams. It's actually very motivating and inspiring.

My guy, my dude, I have listened to this song probably thousands of times over the years, it is one of my all-time favorite tracks... and I hear new sounds when you point them out. I believe at this point you might want to do some research into Korean instruments and get more familiar with them or the sounds they can make or produce! This was the first BTS MV I ever saw and it was totally by accident in Summer 2015. I had never listed to Kpop or been a fan of anything like this before. Been ARMY ever since. This is the song that made me a fan 3+ years ago...its was their lyrics that caught my attention even before I looked for the english lyrics...I could tell they were saying something and I watched this MV over and over and over and finally decided to just try to learn their names so I could name each one and then the rest was history :)
