For the third hack, even if you don't own DHD or HSY, you can do it with the plastic shelf, the one that has no towels on it. It also slots almost anything and you can do the same trick, basegame approval.
Edit: the shelf is called "Towel Storage Rack, Empty"

Little tip: there's a vent in debug that won't attach to a wall. You can use it to fill in spaces and it comes in different swatches.

I’d use the smart speaker more if the sims didn’t want to play music every 5 freakin seconds. It’s why I hardly put stereos in my builds 😩
Omg ikr, when you put a speaker in the bedroom and a sim that's still up decides to just go in there and wake up the sim that's already sleeping
I love taking the busking station or microphone to every festival/event and having my fame hungry sim perform and make it all about her. I can pretend she's touring. She sang at the festival of youth and took all those kid's money.

Ok, the smart speaker thing I have to use more. One of my sims has it, but I've never gotten past just playing music....or tried any other interaction. 😂
So I said Farble to Alexa and also, started playing Fireball. However, when I said Simlish Farble is played the song Simlish by Hotropic 😂
You can also grab the spine and change the posture in CAS

2:01 These words work only with Alexa but you need to first set up "The Sims" skill which the notification in the game won't tell you. After you set it up, it will just give you a trivia about The Sims if you say one of these words but because of how smart speakers work (they try to match your mumbling to a real word) it does work 1 out of 10 times. 😅

This was so much fun! I feel like I've been playing Sims 4 for 20 years, but I never see a lot of the in-game objects and don't use the full extent of building tools.

My Alexa also played Fireball when I said Farble. I wasn't getting any response to the other two words, and I kept saying them over and over. Eventually, Alexa suggested that I chat with an AI chat box!
That's how I've been roofing all my houses since the sims 2 days! Lately I've been mixing it up and adding the occasional gabled roof piece, but the overlapping hipped roofs are always the core.
Also from the sims 2, before i discovered the m key to change slots (sadly no longer in sims 4) i used placeholder objects to fill slots all the time. Usually the ikea vasen vase

The speaker probably never caught on too much bc when it first came out, if you placed it in a sims house it would corrupt your save. I’ve never used it bc, even though they fixed it, I’m still paranoid lol

My problem with LinZ is that you develop a personal relationship with and if it likes you things are awesome. But if it doesn't like you? It didn't like my sim because it took interactions wrong and life was bad, really really bad.
Ok, I actually did stuff like that for the shelves in the same way we do for counters to make them more cluttered or just balanced sometimes, didn't know those shelves hold bigger items. That's huge.

I have been using the shelving hack for a while, however, I use the "empty towel shelf" that's base game!
I had no idea the speaker did all those things! But free services and food sounds like a great rags to riches hack 🤔 The wall slot on the barn is also news to me 😅 I need to decorate and play more and not just build all the time.

Another thing you can do in CAS is their back posture 🙂, I believe if you hover over their upper back (around where the shoulders blades are) you can make them have a good posture (straight) or (a very good one for elders) have them slouch over, I personally don’t use it often, BUT it is a nice detail. 🙂

Just tried with my Alexa - a lot of “hmm…I don’t know that one”
Google gave me a random music station, info about someone named Corinne Dufka(?), and she was very confused about the last one. Then when I said all 3 words she said "good, it's all good" the first time but then she says she doesn't understand if I try again, which I find concerning...😳

Hack 3 awe remember when we had to download the red shelf for this. The red shelf still works a little better because you can just delete the shelf and the object stays but these work arounds are wonderful.

That hack where you place objects onto the mantle of the fireplace to block things from snapping to it while using moveobjects could also be used with the kitchen shelves hack.
7:18 saw somebody using the empty version of the base game towel rack shelf and turns out a lot of larger objects fit onto it.
Issue with the 3rd hack, if you toggle walls down, all of the items will still be visible and floating during gameplay
I tried the second one. It's actually so much easier to roof that way now 😄

If you're good friends with the speaker and you house is dirty, something broken or your sim is hungry, it will order services for you for free.
You can also change Sim’s posture by grabbing onto their back!
I think the knitting comes with one of those box shelves.

Litetally thousands of hours in the game and i didnt know some of these hacks!
You can change their posture too there is a slider on the back on profile view you can give them great posture or a terrible slouch and I haven’t tree this but I’d assume it’s possible since the feet have sliders but try manipulating hand side next time you’re in CAS

Wait, I didn’t know you could make the feet wider or narrower! I only knew about making them longer or shorter.

I think that the feet slider for foot wideness is actually bugged, incomplete, or misleading because I'm pretty sure that sliding sideways from the front does the same thing that it would from the side. There is a mod that makes the wideness slider work properly (or exist at all) though.
this might be something everyone knows, I just recently found out accidentally but in Sims 4 you can also change their posture 😂
