That hairline is damn unclockable 😍 sure you could pluck your own hairline but it looks way better if the wig was manufactured to be that way in the first place.
Kimberly Goode I used to be a hair extension addict and only wore virgin Russian hair. Not anymore though. I watched a documentary about the hair extension/wig industry and it was very sad. Almost every supplier of human hair gets the hair by unethical means. The so called “ethical” human hair sellers maintain that the hair is given willingly and they’re paid for it...but they are often women/girls in extreme poverty who don’t want to cut their hair (ironically in most “source” countries, long hair is a sign of beauty and femininity). However, they have no choice because they really need the money and are paid a pittance for it. They lose their hair which has cultural and sometimes religious importance to them, purely for a tiny amount of money. Just so we can have longer hair 😔 As I say though...that’s the “ethical” ones 🙄 you can imagine the unethical ones. Since finding out more about the industry, I stopped using them altogether

Beautiful! I was always taught, that when creating the Victory Roll, you stuff the back of the roll with a little horse hair (or any hair), as it stops the eye being drawn to the huge hole ;-), it also applies to anything with obvious rolls, like 17th & 18th century styles. xx

I regret having not had a dress like hers and wearing it every day in my life
The huge difference I've noticed is when you get "volume" with a cheap wig, it looks funny from the side. You usually have to hike it up around the face to build the illusion from the front, but it's a very 2D effect. It's like you styled your hair and then took a nap and had the whole back of your head get flattened out. The work you do on those cheap wigs is impressive but the illusion definitely takes a hit when you're not looking straight on.
The WigsByVanity you did looked good from all angles cause there was enough hair to build it up in all directions. It's really not just the lace. Honestly, I think you're better off saving up for a few good wigs over trying to make a bunch of shit wigs "work".
