I watched the full version and I recommend purchasing the bluray (or downloading it :P), the pilot is VERY knowledgeable and very passionate about flying, i bet he can take the whole airplane apart and put it back together hahaha... This is my favourite video from all pilotseye's releases (i usually fast forward or skip parts but this one had me glued for the whole length), really funny crew. Got 2 killer apps aswell from it :D Keep up the good work guys and shame that AB went busto. :/

Krass, Ich flieg 2x in der Woche von München nach Köln/Bonn und dass immer mit einer B737-7K5 (Heute wars die D-AHXG). Ich kanns mir gar nicht vorstellen mit nem Airbus nach Köln zu fliegen.
CZcams King ich mag irgendwie auf der Mittelstrecke kein Flugzeug mehr als die 737-700 und kann es auch nicht erklären. Die 737-800 bspw ist auch schick aber das Modell 700 find ich am besten. Auch bei FSX früher das Add-On von 737NG gekauft und nur die 700 geflogen

Yes it's a shame :( the 737 is more expensive to run as an a320. Hope the 737max will be a success here in Germany. Sure we are a co-producer of airbus but I think that the 737 is one of the best planes is the world
+BLAZZER245 thats not the real reason. Generally its more economical if a fleet is homogenous. Related to the etihad airways fleet it only make sense. Im "sad" too but hey the 737-700/800 operated by TUIfly stay furthermore in the AB-fleet :) and I agree with you ... the 737 is legendary!

+speedgame4u aviation Nicht unbedingt, von der 737 auf die 787 oder 767 zum Beispiel ist fast schon wie auf ein anderes Flugzeug umgeschult zu werden, Boeing hat nicht derartig gleiche Cockpit layouts wie Airbus solche hat. Vom 320 auf den 330 oder 340 geschult zu werden, dauert glaube ich nur knapp einen Monat. Die schwierigste Umstellung für die Boeing Piloten wird wohl sein, dem Flugzeug mehr Aufgaben zu überlassen und in Notsituationen mehr Vertrauen gegenüber zu bringen (Alternate Law).

Schon schade das meiner meinung nach der beste Kurz und Mittelstrecken flieger nun von der AirBerlin ausgemustert wird. Aber Airbus ist nunmal günstiger in der Betreibung, jedoch ist die 737 um einiges sparsamer!
+Levent C Mirlay Vielleicht ist die 737 einfach nicht sparsam genug, das sich das mit der Betreibung rentiert. Airbus hat ja auch eine gewisse Typengleicheit vom Cockpit her, deshalb könnte man theoretisch mit einer A320 Ausbildung auch die A330 fliegen.

Wie die Meisten wissen , setzt Etihad auch eher auf Airbus statt Boeing.
Etihad ist praktisch der Hauptinvestor bei Airberlin , was dazu führt , dass sie das Sagen übernehmen , welcher Typ ihnen besser passt.
Etihad investiert genauso in Alitalia , die auch eine Airbusflotte besitzen.
Somit baut Etihad ein eigenes Netz in Europa auf , wodurch die Vereinheitlichung entsteht.
Wer nicht mitmacht , bekommt kein Geld.
Somit spielt es für Airberlin eher eine geringere Rolle , ob die Boeing oder der Airbus sparsamer , bzw. günstiger ist.
Wirklich schade für die Boeing 737.
Da bleibt uns nur noch TUIfly und Sunexpress in Deutschland , die noch unsere 737 fliegen.

auf keinen fall!! 1. die A332/3 ist meiner Meinung nach eins der schönsten Flugzeuge die Airbus je gebaut hat, zwar bin ich kein fan der P&W aber was wollen die machen, ohne der Übernahme von LTU hätten sie wahrscheinlich garkeine, und sie sind immerhin besser als die GE die nur die hälfte der RR´s kosten (Quelle: Wikipedia 16 zu 28 Millionen)
2. das sind die einzigen mittel/langsteckenflieger, die AB hat, und sie sind aufgrund ihrer trotz des alter immer noch sehr beachtlichen Effizienz in der Betreibung nicht gerade das grösste problem airberlins, was sich nur noch durch Etihad, welches einen europazugang braucht über Wasser halten kann.
3. investieren in die Langstrecke macht ausserdem noch keinen sinn, da airberlin lediglich für die paar Flüge auf dem amerikanischen Kontinent grossraumflugzeuge braucht, und die a330 nicht unbedingt zu alt sind. Zudem solltest du wissen, dass allgemein bekannt ist, dass AB sein geld mit der kurz und Mittelstrecke macht, und die amerkaflüge kaum profitabel sind.
Naja: Die 787 kostet ca 400 Millionen Dollar. Besser ein paar A350.

ja mit den ähnlichen Flugzeugtypen magst du recht haben, aber wenn du mal die Listenpreise von Boeing und Airbus vergleichst, wirst du feststellen, dass die von Boeing oft um einiges günstiger sind.

+Mr. News welcher Airbus denn genau ? Der A319 ? Ja den kann man auch nicht direkt mit der B738 vergleichen, da er kleiner ist, weniger Fracht und Passagiere fasst und eher für kürzere Strecken gedacht ist (siehe germanwings, die ihn innerhalb Deutschlands einsetzten).
Boeing hat seine Preise erhöht, das stimmt, dennoch kostet eine Boeing 737-800 96 Mio. $ und ein Airbus a320 97 Mio. $ Diese beiden Flugzeuge werden im allgemeinen als direkte Konkurrenten angesehen, da sie ähnliche Strecken bedienen sowie ähnliche Leistungsdaten aufweisen, daher vergleiche ich sie hier.

Also diese Folge hat mich nicht überzeugt. Die 2 Hauptdarsteller wirken nicht authentisch, es fühlt sich irgendwie künstlich an. Emotionen hat das leider nicht geweckt. Da war man in anderen Folgen deutlich näher dran und quasi mittendrin. Ich weiß nicht ob es hier im Hintergrund ein Script gab oder die 2 besonders cool wirken wollten...es hat keinen Charme versprüht.
