I bought that veiko jig on the strength of your recommendation a few months back, then built a whole large kitchen for a client. I can't thank you enough, this thing never let me down and is still going strong. One of the handiest tools I have.

I was surprised how hard it was to drill through the finsa quite honestly
I work with these materials all the time and to be honest my experience is the complete opposite, that goes for painting too
It was harder to cut because the material is far more dense.There really isn't a comparison between Finsa and Standard, they're chalk and cheese.
I use a Fisch wave cutter in my drill press for 35mm holes, nothing better. I’ve also got a Kreg jig which is also very good but it does get bunged up so you need to hold an extractor hose against it to clear the mdf shavings
I have the same cutter as you, I note you don't twist to lock the cutter in place in the jig. I found out pretty quick if you do the tiny grooves to locate get clogged making it difficult to engage and release. Whilst I think it feels and looks like a well made jig and is an excellent price from Banggood, my favourite is still the one from Wurth UK but as you might expect it is vastly more expensive.

I’d just like to add for any novice watching this video, when Ryan says cheap mdf he doesn’t mean what you buy in b&q or wickes. I don’t class that as mdf because is terrible to use. Pay a little more and get a board from a merchant which will be 10 times better than those stores
I’ve found that different Wickes sell different mdf. I went to my nearest one and it looked like bog standard 18mm mdf then went to another branch a couple of miles away and the 18mm mdf there was a darker brown, like it had been oiled and a lot smoother on the face and the price sticker said it was Kronospan. I bought a few sheets and it was some of the best mdf I’d ever used, better than anything a merchant had sold me. Went back a few weeks later to grab some more and it had changed to the bog standard one.
@@andyjames8612 in ours it’s like half arsed attempt at gluing cotton wool it’s horrendous. Not as bad as b&q tbh. But at work I do constantly use Hugo or medite
