It yields different year to year it seems on our farm in Nebraska. Plant date and extensive dry heat and excessive rainfal in the ladder yesr is all we can think of for the worse yielding years
There are legitimate reasons to plant cover and legitimate reasons not too. Don’t do it just because it’s trendy. Costs a lot of money to do and if one doesn’t see positive results it’s hard to justify.
