The spy octo must have seemed so badass to the real one. It just handed over its coconut shell to one in need, bravely faced the sharks and sent them packing. I think I would be in awe too if someone gave me their suit of armor, went to fight a horde of dragons and came back completely unharmed.
I mean you're not wrong that's a good analogy.
Like what Jesus did for us by dying on a cross and taking our judgment away for all who believe
@@juliejohnson9740are you trying to say Jesus was a robot or something
TRUE!!🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@juliejohnson9740 a question, if he was the god why didnt he just forgive the sin (like we say sorry to others we hurt, we ask for mercy to God)? instead of dying, dying is human, dying is his creatures. God doesnt need to die, because he has all the power.
OH MY GOD THE OCTOPUS HUGGED THE ROBOT THATS SO ADORABLE WHAT 😭😭
It's Grape-kun all over again
Octopus: "Aye, you ain't gonna get mad if i l take this, will you?"
Spy Octopus: 👁️_👁️
Octopus: ".... Okay, I'm gonna take it; good luck."
😂
Spy Octopus really walked up with the coconut shell like “I got you homie”
I imagine how weirded out these octopus must feel:
“Ha! I stole your disguise, now you will die!”
And the spy octopus just walks through the sharks like nothing😂
🤣😅😂
😂😂😂
I'd like to think the real octopus saw how the "other" octopus was immune to the sharks so felt it was okay 🥺
Though spy octopus didn't fight back which might've communicated to real octopus that it's okay 😅
Octopus Jesus and his first disciple.
i know where you're pfp is from
I find it so cute the way it peers over the top of the coconut shell to see what’s going on 😂
😶🌫️🥥
It was the same clip but rewinded backwards lol
@@LeadsTheFallenNo I don't think so. If you compare the two clips, you may notice some differences. Like the position of its eyes when hiding/emerging
I think the 'hug' is an attempt to understand wtf is the thing that just saved his life.

"Was once told at an aquarium that octopus are not only highly intelligent and sensitive creatures; they're also capable to picking their people- That is who they will and will not interact with. In some cases becoming so emotionally attached to a person that when that person is absent, the octopus will stop feeding and display what we could describe as grief.
Then when 'their person' returns, the octopus will greet them and seemingly check them all over. Maybe looking to see if the person is alright."
This is one example of many that supports that octopus can have an emotional bond to someone or something. Even if it didn't think it was a fellow octopus, it's capable of being friends with even humans, so could surely see it as a friend regardless of whether it is an octopus or not.

I think many people fail to understand that love as an emotion doesn't have high intelligence as a requirement, many animals can feel love. It is an evolutionary feature given to us by nature, to take care of our young and peers
I think she was ready to pay her debt for the male robot for saving her and was about to have sex with him, that’s why she hugged him.
The octopus looks so dear, with its eyes peering out of the slit between the bamboo and the coconut shell. They're smart, funny, inquisitive, amazing and endearing fellows.
It was the same clip but rewinded backwards lol
@@LeadsTheFallenAgain. Refer to what I replied you with.
@@LeadsTheFallenLike the coconut shell in the two clips were in different positions. In the first clip, it was just beneath its eyes but when the octopus re-emerge, the coconut looked higher than its eyes.
And delicious! 😁
@@nothingleft3473you're like the person who comments underneath someone's photo of a beloved pet bunny how much you love rabbit stew. Save it, please, edgelord. We're here to appreciate the wonder of these living organisms. (plus octopuses are a 2/10 at best, tastewise)
...and forever after, tales were told amongst the wanderers of the Coconut Octopus folk of a stranger with eerie, static skin who could walk freely amongst the fiercest sharks and provided aid to one in need. The stranger was later taken to the surface, yet with neither flush or struggle, as though it expected to someday return...

The stupid little robot shuffle is so adorable, I love it.
Love that you helped the real octopus. I know scientists aren't supposed to intervene but, thank you. Octopuses have such a short life to start with and the BT reef shark can eat something with less intelligence in my opinion.
I couldn't do this and not interfere occasionally.
I believe even Attenborough's very strict non-interference team interfered once when a bunch of penguins (I think) were stuck inside a big ice bowl and would have starved to death because they couldn't climb out.
bruh shark cant choose what to eat lol its hungry it gotta eat
thats a robot?! holy crap these are getting more and more realistic every video!
Octopuses are so smart, that it's amazing they would fall for a robot octopus. That says a lot about the team that built the robot. Great work.
Im not sure if it also applies for octopuses, but I've seen squids that are smaller than most males mimic the female body color behavior to bypass the competing males and sneak to the female to mate 😅 So I would think that as long as you understand their language, they aren't the type to question it too much
I don't think it was fooled for a moment.
I'm really surprised no one replied saying 'You mean "Octopodes, mate!"'🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂😂😅😄
@@stlouisix3 That's because it's such a niche topic, people coming here know it's either octopus or octopuses.. not octopie or octopodes.. 😜
@@techpriestessmicaela8441 Please do, sounds better anyway.. if I'm not completely mistaken that is the correct latin plural anyway.. 😊
I think the hug that the octopus gave to our spy 'octopus' was more of him trying to figure out why this 'octopus' is so blimming odd. He never really believed that it was a helpful, friendly, fellow octopus.
How do u know
I said 'I think' but you are too irrational@@puchokoffie8152 and thoughtless to understand what I stated.

Octopus are heckin aliens. 3 hearts, super intelligent, multiple brains, color changing to the extreme.
Screw going to space. The real ET shit is all the way down at the bottom of the ocean
And blue blood.
Just when I think your animatronics cannot get any more realistic, Im blown away again! Fantastic work as always!
It was also really cute.
Spy octopus bopping along wearing a little hat...
That’s the most cutest spy robot so far. These spy robots are really what’s the technologies for.
I knew I catch comment that would call the camara cute😊😊
I love the robot spy videos. Absolutely amazing
Glad you like them!
@@JohnDownerProdJohn, what is the glass the real octopus is suction to at 3:45?
The hug got me 😂
ive always admired your robotics SO MUCH!! as a costume maker, i would absolutely love to see a behind the scenes on how some of these are made
Same
There is actually. It may have been on another channel but I distinctly remember seeing some behind the scenes for this channel
They once said they would do something like that on this channel. We are still waiting
@@NyanyiC It’s already been done, look at the comment above yours. Go back 6 months and find the video.
I LOVE HOW THE OCTOPUS PEEKED OUT OF THE COCONUT AND HUGGED THE SPY. THAT WAS SO ADORABLE!!
I think the octopus is probably just wondering how a mannequin managed to make its way to the bottom of the sea... xD
Dude just stole the guy's hat and left him to the sharks. Absolute savage.
He has to know somehow it’s not a real one like him. He just figured it was actually helping
That hug is wholesome 😌
NEED MORE ROBO OCTOPUS CONTENT.
To see these biomimetic evolve this much is a marvelous thing to witness!
its responses are so human without the need for words, like "haha ive stolen your coconut... oh.. huh... um.. wow.. thanks for the door homie, we cool now!"
Yo! This is amazing! I'm so glad that y'all gave the octopus the coconut. This is a start of some communication efforts between man and octopus
I literal crying over how they hug the robot TTTT
1:30 Cute when the octopus made a quick dash for it!
I love that this octopus is being so sweet and helpful. I really enjoy hanging out with her. Good stuff and I hope all goes well for her. 😊❤
Real Octo: “thanks for saving my life man” *hug*❤
Octopuses HUG each other?! I'm melting. Thats too sweet. 🥹
@Sarandib22 do you remember when a bunch of them were living too close, I think off Australia, and they started basically punching each other? They do not like crowded conditions.
@Sarandib22yeah there are two colonies of octopus with actual “buildings” which are usually just shells piled up as shelter but nonetheless!
Wall-E was cool and all but I want the Pixar film about the Octopus who befriends the Octobot
*Later, at the Legbrain Pub*
"So you're not gonna believe this, but today some weird guy totally saved my tentacles from these sharks who were crabbing me, brought me this sick coconut shell an' everything. Only thing though, is that he didn't say a single word the whole time, just stared off into the distance with this blank, frozen look on his face... Come to think of it, he was probably autistic. Swell dude all the same."
Imagine you're being chased by a pack of wolves and a clothing shop dummy rolls up in a tank. That's probably what being the octopus felt like.
0:37 "One programmed to walk......in a similar way"
Octobot minces along seabed.....
I think the way we perceive this is linked to how smart we see the octopus. The researchers to me seem to be saying they know the octopus knows this robot isn’t an octopus- but that it does know this object is somehow sentient and able to communicate. So perhaps the octopus knew the coconut was for it, the robot did bring it over. A normal octopus probably would have hunkered down with it. Not worn it like a hat all the way over to the other octopus. Then they said that behavior is seen with octopuses friends, so maybe not a hug, but it knows the robot helped.
That was the coolest thing I've ever seen! The facts you provide us with and being able to see something we never get to see is AMAZING! I've changed my views on octopi now!
Thank you so much. You deserve an award of some kind, if you haven't already-- for your robotics especially! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟👏👍

Wow, that was adorable ❤❤🐙. It shows just how intelligent octopuses are. Also well done that spy- cam operator, what incredibly quick thinking, a very well deserved hug 😂
An octopus is literally 9 entities sharing one body
One of the best robot spy videos. A hug of appreciation from a real octopus. Wow, it is really something!
Awwww the hugh in the end ❤
Helping these pure creatures in need. You deserve all the subs in the world.
I have just witnessed an octopus hugging a robot octopus for sharing its coconut shark protector 😮
The way the robot octopus moves cracks me up lol

How cute is that spy octopus 😊😊😊
the way that octopus hugged the spy was so wholesome and adorable. truly magnificent creatures in their own right

I didnt know what to expect in how the spy octopus would move but it was not this XD
love your vids, keep going guys
Thanks so much!
Worlds greatest CZcams channel
Now that's some praise. Thank you!
I'm reminded of Terminator 2 and the TV show - specifically the scenes where a Terminator will help a person for their own reasons, and the person tries to express their gratefulness and it just kinda falls flat because Terminators don't have the same emotional responses to things as humans.
nice work, thanks John.
This is outstanding! just wow
That is just truly amazing! ❤❤
That's amazing!
Beauty and brains....what a wonderful spectacular creature.
Octopus should be protected and never eaten. ❤
PAUSE so if an octopus loses an arm, it loses one of its brains? Lol dang imagine if that happened to us. You lose a leg and all of your knowledge of mathematics is suddenly gone
It loses a separate brain, not part of its main brain. Each brain thinks independently. If we had 9 brains and lost one of them, the other remaining 8 brains would each still know things.
Thankyou. This was beautiful!
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!
A+ on the sound effects.
Cousin from the country looks like he's a few brains short.

You are most welcome!
The way narrator narrates it along with the real octo is doing makes it looks like a story worthy to be novelised
Nature aside, that's a clever piece of engineering
they actually fall in love already
That octopus was at first like “bro what the fuck are you doing go active camo” then when he saw him walking among the sharks wi the ought fear I bet he was thinking “Jesus Christ it’s Jason borne”

Its so incredible to witness and see how smart the octupus is, thanks for our technology today and to the people who made this kind of documentaries❤❤❤❤❤❤
Can you make more videos of these spy Robots in the ocean?
Wow ! Octopus was like "oh!thnxx man,i appreciate that"
Doesn't even care about robo octopus and went straight inside and closed the door.
Same thing what "squidward" usually do🤔😂
THE HUG THOUGH

The ocean is a planet itself, inside a planet. The octopus 🐙 are so smart ! I have seen a lot but the intelligence of he making a door ! It’s out of this world ! SpaceX should hire him right now !!!!! He may have the solution to reach Mars 😉
How can people eat these!?
