      so and so.. there is no visible hint that on should NOT do a couple of things shown in the video. Also, why would you show first what not to do? if a person who does not understand English watches this he/she might confuse the ''don'ts'' for required steps.. And what about rinsing your throat afterwards??

    To ensure you are getting the proper dosage, ensure that when priming the turbuhaler that it is in the UPRIGHT position. Rationale: gravity is required to load the medication for inhalation. This was not the case in the video. Other than that fantastic video!

    my dr prescribed me this inhaler since none of all the other inhalers didn't have any good effect anymore , I used three different types , one I had to use three times a day , another I had to use in case of '' emergency '' and another one I used only to go to bed or when it had rained / weatherchanges , none of them worked anymore , my throat just shutted down and I was unconscious so now I am taking this new inhaler a turbohaler forte 320/9 , 2 puffs each mornings and eve but I was told that when i felt like it did not right away upen up my airways I could just puff it three times instead of two but how do I even know I am needing three instead of two if I take it for both astma as for my chronic respitory desease ??? I do not only have attacks of astma , I am just having some issues breathing so each time I use this one now I have only been taking two of it and often ended up searching for that thing again due not enough after like a few minutes or so , how can I prevent this from happening to suddenly have to drop everything and go back for my inhaler in my kitchen draw of medicin ? and the bigger question I have is simply " how do I feel , when / while inhaling twice that it still ain't enough and I need an extra puff ??? " anyone that can help me a bit out here ? I d really appreciate !!! ty for the upload as well , this is kinda new to me since the others were round and easier to use and some were just inhalors to push ... I wish the instructions of use were foolproof.
    The first five doses got probably half in my longs and half on the floor.
    I twisted the red cap and tried to push it in, and out, and in and out...
    Then did the same with the mouthpiece.
    Lucky the damn thing is still in one piece. At one point in time I was about to break it just out of frustration.
    This stuff better be good

      There’s no flavour to it, and usually any side effect reaction - increases heartbeat or hands shaking- occurs usually after a few minutes. Just relax, it’s normal and won’t last long.

      There are possible side effects from any medication including from any inhaler. The Turbuhaler is a type of inhaler but it is not the name of the medication. Check with the information provided with your inhaler about what side effects may occur.
      Generally inhaled medications have less side effects than pills since the medicine is inhaled directly to the needed area so less medicine gets to the rest of your body.
      It is recommended to rinse out your mouth after taking an inhaled steroid medication to reduce the risk of a thrush infection in your mouth.
      If you have any concerns about side effects, see your healthcare provider.

    With fluid in my lungs...when I inhale deeply I will cough... Why would an inhaler with medicine require me to INHALE FORCEFULLY..?? That's what my problem is... I can't breathe deeply without coughing...
    I think the old puffers under pressure were better... This thing must be cheaper for them to produce...
    Plus you really don't know when it's empty....

    This video is somewhat useful but is far from as complete as it should be.
    I am amazed that there is no mention whatever of the fact that the mouthpiece rotates in both directions and clicks when it does so. One must assume that there is a purpose to this design - it cannot possibly be accidental. So what IS the purpose of this function? Also, what is the purpose of all the sculpted indentations?
    It also does not address the common observation that, for many people, including me, there is absolutely no discernible taste and so we have the most serious doubts as to whether the device is doing anything useful at all.
    I find the design to be unsatisfactory, unconvincing and it I have little faith in it.

      John it’s the coloured knob at the bottom you twist 😊 in fact, turbuhalers are the best, inhaling in two simple steps instead of pressing and inhaling at the same time. Also the reaction comes within seconds- heartbeat and a sense of shaking in your hands.

    • @John-Tropi
      @John-Tropi Před 6 lety

      Yes, thanks, I know it's the coloured base disk that is to be rotated. But my point is that the mouthpiece ALSO rotates, quite separately from the coloured base and no one explains why. There has to be a reason for this rotatable mouthpiece feature. I would also add that the coloured base rotates in BOTH directions, so one naturally wonders whether it matters in which order this is done. Of course we can guess, but we cannot actually know and the instructions should make it crystal clear!
      I'm afraid that I get absolutely NO discernible taste or sensation from this brand of inhaler and I have used four of them to date. Since several other people report the same complete lack of sensation or effect, one has to wonder if they are producing duds. Apparently they cost the British NHS around £36, so it is a worry!

    • @sophiaadcock6769
      @sophiaadcock6769 Před 6 lety

      John it rotates only cause you are meant to remove and clean it every now and then. The coloured knob is meant to be turned right-click- left. Make sure you inhale instantly and then breathe out through your nose. And they do indeed have a sufficient effect on asthma. Been using it for decades. If you have low effects of it, consult your doctor cause you might need other stuff to treat your windpipe in between your asthma attacks.

    I have asthma since I was a child and I've been using such device for at least 10 years, I think .(before that, I had disk inhalers, nebulizer, cannister inhaler and the one you insert a encapsulated powder then twist then inhale, plus I had a huge oxygen tank at home. Lucky I'm still alive hehe) But one night I think I was doing something or watching something on the TV and I was holding the turbohaler. When I was about to inhale it I said did I do it right? It was weird because I've been doing this for a long time out of muscle memory and suddenly I forgot.. And so that brought me to this video.

First time that I wanted to use this thing I didn't even know what it is. My asshole Dr didn't even mention about what she's giving me as prescription. I turned it about 30 times overall and put it in my mouth like 7 or 8 times... At the end It tastes so bitter to me and after seconds I felt really uncomfortable😰😰😰
