  • From May 7, 1985. Cindy Morgan's 5th and final episode. This is also shows the last spin on the intro between Coleen and Joe. The screen is split early at the end of the game. Low audio is also on here but I amplified it between the beginning of the game to the start of the round 2 board. The next request episode is #422.

    Good catch. The special weeks were probably their own isolated taping days. That also explains why it took so long for College Week to be used as flashbacks. What's also interesting is that Peter mentioned they could see what opening was being used - I always assumed the intros were added post-production.

    College Week was also the first time we saw the Tarzan, Basketball Player, Baseball Player, Cruise Ship, Matador, Cheerleader, Cyndi Lauper, Tina Turner, and Sherlock Holmes Whammies. They weren't seen in any of the episodes from 4/8/85-4/26/85.
    It would seem that the College Week episodes were shot in one day, and episodes #415-#420 (4/29/85-5/6/85) were shot the next day. I remember someone pointing out that PYL normally did 11 episodes every other weekend (5 on Saturday, 6 on Sunday).

    Also, if you watch episodes #395-#414 in airing order, you'll notice something very interesting: The College Week episodes were actually taped in between the tapings of the 4/26/85 and 4/29/85 episodes.
    If you pay careful attention to the prize rotations in those episodes, you'll notice that the prize rotation continuity errors would not exist if the episodes were aired in the proper order.

    Choppy edit when Coleen hit Boston.. Peter said it was worth $1958... but when they do a edit and her total is revealed, the numbers didn't add up.. Boston gained some money, as it was worth $2,142

    19:09 Did GSN really do that?! I wanted to hear what Colleen and Peter were talking about. This is the real reason I don't watch GSN cause all they do is speedup the shows it pisses me off I like buzzr better than GSN at Least they don't do credit crunches nor speedup their game shows.

    • @sirharry13
      @sirharry13 Před 4 lety +1

      I think Trevor was saying that Joe should have taken the $750+spin on that first passed spin (which would then become an earned spin) in which case after hitting the whammy he would have had a spin to pass to Coleen to possibly force a two-way tie at $0. By him taking Waikiki instead on that first passed spin, it was pretty much something with a spin or bust depending on what prizes were on the board.
