  • Another handbag review, but this one is a bit spicier than the usual bag reviews you’ll find on my channel! By request, here is my non-sponsored (and brutally honest!) review of Senreve handbags. I’ve now tried and tested several Senreve handbags over the past 12 months and having properly used the bags, I wanted to share my comprehensive thoughts for those of you mulling over any of their styles.
    While I do like to keep things light here, this one is a bit more interesting. I place high value on honest reviews and while I appreciate CZcams is a business for some (and something that I’m trying to build personally), I also want my channel to be a place where you can trust that I will be completely candid and honest with you. Thanks for watching!

    Great review! I considered the pebble leather but your review and my desire for alternative leathers makes me think twice!

      Thanks Jess! And yes - I’m quite excited about their alternative leathers. I have read that some of their materials are still quite rigid but I think there’s an option that is a bit softer - something to keep in mind!

    Thank you for the review! I have the large Maestra and find it so hard to actually wear. As a shoulder bag, the weight of the bag and the way the strap is set up, makes it constantly slide off my shoulder. It’s so beautiful though. I wish I could figure out a better way to wear it.

    • @whatveewore

      Thanks so much for watching! Ah yes - the large Maestra is so good in theory but it is such a nugget! It would be ideal if they used a softer and more supple leather.

    I love my black maestra and I have had it for over 3 years. It still looks good and I use it as my everyday bag as I’m an overpacked. But I hate having to deal with their customer service- I’m in the U.K. and there has been an issue with shipping every time I’ve ordered from them (I’ve ordered 4 items, 2 as gifts but a total of 9 orders due to issues). Watching this as I’m considering ordering an Alunna the next time I’m in the US

      Agreed - the bags do look very good. Oh dear, I’m sorry to hear that you’ve had less than satisfactory customer service from them. Hopefully they’ve ironed out those kinks. Thanks for watching!

    I have been mulling over whether to get a Senreve Maestra for over a year as I started having a need to carry my laptop to work but carrying it in a tote is starting to hurt my shoulders and my back. The size and weight issue causes me to pause every time I am about to cross the finish line. After watching your vid I think I will go to the store to try the bag on first!

    Honestly this is my first time hearing about this brand ^^" Have I been sleeping under a rock? xD But now I know about the bag! This seems like a really good bag! Especially love the compartments, size and versitility. Maybe I'll start considering this in the future.. But what you mentioned about the weight is quite off-putting... I tend to overfill my bags so a bit of a deal-breaker for me xD

    • @whatveewore
      @whatveewore  Před 2 lety +1

      The Dolce leather won’t have the weight issue! That’s my no. 1 tip 😍

  • @argonsparrow
    @argonsparrow Před rokem +1

    Totally agree with the cons about leather weight. I have a dolce mini Alunna myself and when I got it I was like, what the heck? I wanted a tiny bag but this bag is so bulky?? Lmao oh well. Still very much like the bag, just the sheer amount of leather they use, regardless of texture, is a bit much sometimes. It adds considerable bulk and weight. It wasn't a big issue for my Alunna but it made a difference for my mini Maestra, which is already supported by pretty thin straps.

    • @whatveewore

    Thanks for this in depth video! Whats your opinion and preference between the Celine Belt Bag and the Senreve Mini Maestra? Ive always been curious about the Maestra but already have the Belt Bag. Their structure and functionality appears quite similar.

    • @whatveewore
      @whatveewore  Před 2 lety +1

      thanks for watching! I think they're both quite similar aesthetically, so i think if you have one, you might not need the other. I prefer the Belt Bag's look because of its refined design features, but I prefer the durability of the Maestra. I wish I got mine in the Dolce leather - I would have enjoyed the bag much more!

    Thank you for a great review.
    I haven’t got one but I keep considering getting one because of all the positive reviews. BUT, I can’t with the price point - I really find it too steep AND I think it’s quite obvious that these two women are NOT designers 🥴 I just don’t find it pretty at all, so for me it should be because it’s very comfortable and functional and it doesn’t seem like it in the bigger sizes.

    I don’t think the dolce leather would hold up well for a work bag, like the maestra(original size). The intention of the brand speaks well in terms of having more rigid leathers for working and commuting ppl. I could see the dolce slouching and loosing shape while lugging my mac, an ipad, water bottle, lunch, and whatever else i need for work.
    I definitely would like dolce for other bag purposes though.

    • @whatveewore
      @whatveewore  Před rokem

      I’m not sure about that - I think the dolce is durable enough to withstand day to day use as a work bag though I appreciate you lug a few things with you. It is considerably softer than the rigid leathers in their line up but it’s comparable to other calfskin bags I have in my wardrobe that I use for work that are much less structured!

    My husband bought me one of these bags for my birthday. I absolutely loved it until the latch started wearing down and is now about to break. I took very good care of the bag, it just didn’t wear well at all. I’ve got lots of other bags that I’ve had for over 10 years and they are still in great condition. Sadly this bag just didn’t last well and seems to be really poor quality. Wouldn’t recommend.

    Very poor quality!!! Bag I paid £600 ish started to fall apart in less 2 years. Customer service googled random cobblers in London ( apparently local to me, in fact hour distance drive from my home) and advise to take care of repairs myself. Absolutely appealing!

    I have one Aria in pebbled leather and another in dolce. I’ve had issues with the leather quality, it rubs off heavily on the edges, more on the pebbled leather. So I can’t stand by the durability. And though I love the looks of the Aria, I think it’s heavily overpriced.

    • @whatveewore
      @whatveewore  Před 2 lety +1

      thanks for sharing, that hasn't been my experience but it's useful to hear of others who haven't had the best experience when it comes to durability. i think the dolce leather is far better than pebbled leather in both look and feel. and agreed! they're a bit of an investment!

    My bag is so heavy, I personally don’t recommend it. With it packed, it weighs a ton. The bag was overall heavily influencer marketed in the past, but based on personal use it’s a no.
