Spirit completely lost my bag going to Colombia and didn’t honor the Montreal Convention only gave me $584 lol. Small claims it is. Quick question if I were to cash the check would that mean I cannot sue them for everything else they owe?

I am not a lawyer, but based on my knowledge, cashing the check should not impact you negatively when suing them.

How did you get the compensation?
Etihad airways lost my luggage about 4 months ago and i was told that I'd get compensation amount within april. Now it's may and i didn't get anything and now they won't even reply my mails

We lost our luggage with Air Canada so it was a bit easier I suppose. Did you try your credit card insurance?

Also, you could threaten to take them to court. But I’m not sure how that would work if their head office is in another country. If you are located in Canada, you could join the Air Passengers Rights group on Facebook.

Oh no, I'm sorry to hear that! I don't have the template ready yet, but in the mean time, I would suggest to keep copies of all your receipts, and be very organized when submitting them.

unfortunately with most airlines you probably cannot. any wear and tear such as scratches, scuffs, cuts, rips, etc. is all typically not responsible

If you didn’t report it as soon as you picked up your bag, you are out of luck. They would have given you the a file reference number.
