I saw on an Uber ride this guy had an android tablet install in a Honda Accord it was huge & nice he said he paid 400 for everything & it works with Audio, Bluetooth, AC, AM, FM, i mean all & it does run great with no issue at all

I hooked my iPad up through wifi to an airport express and optical that into a JL twk d8 that then feeds my amps. The JL twk has 24-bit 48 ksps dac, so the sound is awesome. Unfortunately the apple air play limits to 16 bit audio, so I'm looking into other options to get higher quality audio into the twk.

JoMiTo83 dam man... I saw a video here on CZcams of someone who had the same problem as you. Just search it up. I can't remember what they did though.
are you sure it down samples when using optical? I was pretty sure the internal DAC on the airport express only worked with the 3.5mm output. if you chose to use an optical output, it bypasses the DAC and sends uncompressed audio.
thats how i have mine hooked up at home and was contemplating also doing it in the car as I also cant really find a decent solution for optical audio from and iPad.
What do you use to paint your plastic trim? Like your dashboard for example? If you could make a video on the actual fiberglass that you use and which paint you use and how you apply it, that would be much appreciated. I’ve seen other guys using fiberglass with the mesh and it seems so complex. Thank you and keep up the bad ass videos!

Where did your AC and heating control go
Chuck Flowers would assume he relocated the vent to the inside where the stereo used to be and only had ac to cool the unit while running especially in the summer. I don’t know but it seems logical

I follow you and Doug. Great to see you come together on a project. This is a great video. The editing gives plenty of information about how you did the build, but it moves along really quickly. My only wish is that you showed how you buffed such a complex panel after color sanding. Anyway, as Doug would say, this install is "legendary"!!
So this replaces your head unit? How do you run your RCAs and speaker wires to it??

Man...You could use picture-in-picture and have a pretty good screen for a back-up cam and still have videos playing. It looks huge in a Tahoe dash. Really cool!

the lightning cable isn't going to "break easy". lol. I have done SEVERAL ipad kits and not one has broke yet. One is in my RZR and believe me we have went on some rides. Never even moved.

it isn't the only thing that holds the ipad in. So don't worry. lol
Nick Loss apparently you don't watch any of Doug's and Steve's videos and you have no clue what is going on with these iPad mounts. FYI they are held in by industrial strength magnets. Educate and search Doug Bernard's videos and he shows exactly how the iPads are held in place with the magnets.
