    Well said Jason. Glad Poch knew his worth and walked rather than be treated like a puppet. Gutted the board put him in this position to constantly talk about his future and field questions about them meeting Amorim during hie apparent West Ham interview and why the board had only given him a 2 year contract. Poch has done a remarkable job with some players who i doubt would play for clubs who finished above them. Badiashile, Disasi, Noni Jackson, Petrovic, Chukwuemeka, even Challobah who did well with a regular bench of youngsters like Ugochukwu, Washington, Casedei. These are not typical Chelsea players and how the board expected Poch to make this team finish in the top 4 is crazy when these players could easily be playing for clubs like West Ham or Palace or Forrest. How Poch got hat squad within touching distance to league cup, an FA final against Utd and into 6th is impressive, especially when he's had an injury list into double digits of key players most of the season.

    • @jd95_
      @jd95_ Před 12 dny

      Poch did the opposite of a remarkable job. The recency bias is incredible. It’s almost as if the constant injuries in training, the previous 33 games where we were garbage, the awful in game management, regular media leaks about Poch not getting his transfers (which is how most teams work), playing players out of position, finally making a tactic change after 9 months of rubbish, and the disconnect with the fans just didn’t happen. If you look at why he was sacked at PSG and why he was sacked at Chelsea, they’re the exact same reasons. Not once this season did he even walk over after a game and clap the fans… it blows my mind we rate Poch so highly because he had 2 good seasons at Spurs.

    • @TheShaneGuy
      @TheShaneGuy Před 12 dny +2

      @@jd95_ I get the media are basing everything on the last 5 Chelsea games but I’m not. I’ve watched almost every game this season. You don’t finish 6th only 3 pts behind Spurs (who every pundit raves about as the most exciting team to watch), and be the 4th most in from team in the premier league since Christmas by being a poor manager. You don’t get to - cup final and semi final against city by being bad. He turned a bloated squad of mostly overrated insecure immature youngsters into the 6th best team in the country. The league table never lies. I don’t rate Poch because of 1 season Spurs. He again turned decent players with a few stars into a team that qualified for champions league 3 times with Spurs and turned Southampton from a newly promoted team into one of the best teams in the country and an established premier league side that season. Honestly I think only Pep Klopp and Emery could have got those Chelsea youngsters as high as 6th and to a final and semi final this year. You’re right most of the media rates Poch higher than you and I do, but I rate him for the job he has done. I don’t think he’s an amazing manager or the long term answer for Chelsea, but I do think he deserves respect for his achievement as a coach this season with that squad. Chelsea performances this season have been mostly good with inconsistent blip games because of the calibre of the players bought for Poch to impossibly get into champions league apparently, which would have miraculously happened if he had 3 more points and English teams did better in Europe this season.

    Chelsea fans never gave Poch a chance. No love for him until the very end when it was too late. Nobody could stomach the poor results in the beginning even given the context of new management, new squad, very young, injuries etc etc. They will say he got sacked but when they say mutual I genuinely think Poch just didn't want it anymore.

      Delusional. Abramovich his Chelsea peaked pre 2011 and been playing shite and sacking managers since Villas-Boas. The Di Matteo UCL was a massive fluke and an isolated event just like the Conte PL, Mourinho PL and Tuchel UCL were all isolated events because they were all short term managers that imploded immediately after winning. Chelsea their best PL seasons came under Mourinho and Conte, for the rest they were totally insignificant at the top. Chelsea usually was a marginal 3rd or worse in the PL, they dropped out of the top 4 more than they reached 80 points in the last 12 seasons. They in general were nowhere near competitive in the UCL as well, they generally were and at best are a Europa League knock-out level club. Chelsea was already the club it is now under Abramovich.

Poch is old news, he is not elite anymore.

    I agree with Cundy. Poch walked due to transfers, if the owners wanted him gone they would have sacked him when fans were calling for him out. What I’ve learned as a chelsea fan most fans are fickle. Be careful what you wish for because when things go bad it’s easy point fingers at the manager. This will happen next season too 🥱

      He wasn't the Spurs manager. He was the Chelsea manager. We did the double over Spurs this season. If you really can't support someone because they played for or managed a rival, then you really need to ask yourself if you're really a Chelsea fan.

    • @backupdancer3720
      @backupdancer3720 Před 12 dny

      @masonhenderson0221 I support the manager of Chelsea Football Club...and that is no longer Pochettino.
      Any sort of disagreement and I must question if I am a Chelsea supporter... Chelsea sold many academy players; Tomori, Tammy, Guehi, Mount... Chelsea also unearthed gems; Gusto, Petrovic, Palmer, Jackson... Yet the club will die if Chalobah and Gallagher depart?
      I choose to support the owners who, despite what the English media insist, are doing what they feel is best for the club *that they now own.*

      @@backupdancer3720 Ok, yeah. You definitely aren't a Chelsea fan. 😂 If you would rather support the owners who are currently destroying my club than the manager who, against all odds, got us into Europe, then you're definitely a Man U or Arsenal fan in disguise.

    • @backupdancer3720
      @backupdancer3720 Před 12 dny

      @masonhenderson0221 Firstly, your choice of language suggests either confusion or immaturity.
      Chelsea is not 'your club' otherwise you would have some input at the club... Where you are 'just' another supporter, and I am just another supporter.
      The new owners are not 'destroying' anything: they pumped in over £3bn, and have a plan that you angrily disagree with for largely primitive reasons; whereas I believe the owners cannot be judged until a number of years have passed.

    • @masonhenderson0221
      @masonhenderson0221 Před 12 dny

      @@backupdancer3720 Well, I couldn't say "our club," because that implies that you are actually a fan. And, what plan? To bring in young players and a young manager and stick with them for multiple years. Well, they've already gone back on the manager part multiple times, and we've already seen why relying solely on youth doesn't work during these past two seasons, so I think I can render my judgement with conviction at this point.
      But sure, go ahead and call me primitive when you hate a manager who got our first success with this new ownership solely based on who he managed before. 😂

    I suspect there's more to this that we know.
    Don't chelsea have to sell 100m worth of players to balance the books.
    Maybe it's about who the owners want to sell to make up the money and who poch wanted to sell.
    Can't believe the owners didn't see that this year chelsea only lost 2 Premier League games.
    And we're actually playing well in the last 10 games
