Beautiful car, it's just now that I realized the dashboard lights reminds me of Christmas with all the colorful lights.

This is an astoundingly good replica. The intelligence that went into the electronics and the mixer alone are phenomenal, and the fact you included the turbine sound and controller is awesome. What an absolute work of art that is, it's lovely to see the spirit of that show kept alive by dedicated fans such as yourself!

This is the most impressive KITT I've ever seen!! I"m now 40 and grew up watching Knight Rider and Dukes of Hazzard, so my dream would be to have both of them....KITT being #1 on my list. Amazing job!! The pain looks flawless, but I guess if it's garaged and not driven that helps.
Thanks marc! My paint guy is incredible. They took it down to medal, skim coated the whole car, block sanded and then sprayed it with Single Stage. I did the final buff out. IMHO, nothing beats a black single stage paint job.

Man the trouble I used to cause my dad as a kid because of KITT’S SELF DRIVING FEATURE😂🙈 I’d always ask/order my dad to let go of the steering so his poor Toyota Corolla could drive itself like my favorite car KITT did.

The wireless battery disconnect is brilliant. I used a simple, manual marine cut-off switch on the battery terminal on an old Rolls (Lucas electrical) and it was annoying having to remove the access panel in the trunk to get to it every time I put it back into the garage.
I used to enjoy this show also when I was a young boy! And you've replicated it exactly - awesome!!!
I found your channel today. I can't stop watching your videos. Why? This is not just the very best K.I.T.T. I've seen since I first watched Knight Rider as a child, it's a journey of your attention to detail and technical knowledge realising a dream not only for yourself but for the enjoyment of others. I wish you success financially in your efforts to take your work around to shows and appearances. I also offer condolences to those that have a K.I.T.T. or wish to build a K.I.T.T. Love your KITT replica.You've done an excellent job.I drove KITT twice in 2018 on one of those experience days,it was a really unforgetable experience. The car i drove had the yoke steering wheel,i found that to be quite easy to drive with.
Just amazing!! If people only knew the amount of time and money it takes to do something like this. VERY clean job, your drive and determination is through the roof. I hope she treats you well, and you get years of enjoyment out of her!!

Wow, that's amazing and must be really cool to drive around in? The car is based on the Knigh Rider TV Show KITT car and by replicating KITT it is like a KITT car itself with all the gadgets on it, separate dashboard lights, remote power cut off, 2 screen displays, all the different voice samples at the touch of a button(s), Turbo Boost sound, internal sound, external sound, turbine sound which sounds great by the way (try and set it up to work with gas pedal) I am sure it is a big hit at Knight Rider shows, well done 👍

I annoyed my dad for weeks to go and get my photo taken with KITT back in the 80s, the car was touring while the show was airing here in Australia. From memory it looked exactly like this. The photo was a Polaroid and faded in the late 90s. I collected all the models and toys, wish I kept them all.
As an appreciator of back to the future deloreans, I can say this car looks pretty bad ass.

I'm totally having a nerdgasm over this right now. I'm so glad I stumbled upon meeting you on facebook. Knight Rider was my favorite show as a kid and no matter what the Hoff did/does in his life, he will always be remembered as Michael Knight in my eyes. I'm pretty sure that show is the reason I've been in to fast cars my entire life. I'm enamored in the detail that went in to KITT. Amazing. Why am I getting emotional? Is this weird?
HAHA thanks man! Yup, Knight Rider is the cause of my car obsession today. Yea it's crazy what nostalgic things do to all of us. Ive sat through a couple sob stories from 90 year old crying grandmas telling me they used to watch Knight Rider with their late husband. When they see the car, it brought back all the good memories they had with them. Now if a car can do that, Thats pretty sweet!

Something else you can do for the dash displays - in some eps there was a view of the road from the front of the car. So hang a pair of gopros from the bumper, trigger them with the gopro remote, and take a 20 minute drive. Then you can put the vid through whatever processing you like to make KITT's-eye-view footage of the road, one for each display.
George Erhard funny you say that, I actually have a camera mounted inside the tow bar on the front bumper and a rear camera. With a flick of a switch, they can be seen on the tvs

Actually Kitt DID have seat belts in one episode. A three point harness racing seat belt to be exact. When Michael enters a demolition derby.
There were different cars used for same scenes. At one moment you would see a car with seatbelts, then from the next camera angle without seatbelts because they used a different car for that shot. This happened pretty much throughout all 4 seasons. 80s TV series production quality wasn't that precise but it had charm. :-)

Wow, I am very, VERY impresed by the level of this replica. I remember watching Knight Rider as a kid and I was sucked in to that universum. It clearly is the best made Kitt car I have ever seen. To be honest I would get a slight heart attack if all of these screens and electronic counters would show real informations (oil temperature, gas level). Still, very impresive!

Are all of the KITT voice recordings William Daniels? If so, where did they come from? I'm guessing that some of them may have been taken from the audio tracks of the TV show, but some of them are obviously not from the TV show.
