Top 10 Beginner Tips for World of Warcraft in 2023
1. Choose a High Population Realm on servers near to your region (EU go to EU, NA go to NA). Playing on a High Population Realm will give you more opportunity to play with other WOW players and do more fun content.
2. Choosing a Race: Each race has different racial abilities and some players choose races for doing high level specific content, however the âracial abilityâ gains are really low and you would be much better off choosing a race you enjoy aesthetically as this could be a character you play for many many years to come.
3. Choosing a Class: Decide if you would like to be a tank, a damage dealer or a healer or if you are unsure of which, go with a class which has some flexibility with those roles such as Druid and Paladin. Remember depending on your class will give your more fun and flexibility so go for a class you think represents you best as a person.
4. BEST way to level in WOW? Well first of all as a new player I highly suggest not Rushing the process of leveling, take your time! As you are a beginner you will need to Exiles Reach when you first start WoW, then following that you will need to do the last expansion to level up (10-50) which is Battle For Azeroth.** **Once levelled up to 50 you will begin the quest to unlock the Shadowlands. The fastest and best way truly is to do quests but I highly advise to enjoy leveling for the first time, do some dungeons maybe even dip a toe into PVP. Ultimately if you donât care about all of that then Questing will get you to 60 fastest.
5. Use the keyboard, for keybindings. This is important, wow is a very fast paced game when you ding level 60 so using the keyboard to press abilities and use the WASD to move with your mouse it will set you so much further ahead to other players. My dad is 60 years old and he uses keybindings no worries at all so anyone can do it! YES I play wow with my dad... I know its awesome.
6. MOUNT Riding: You will learn how to ride a ground mount at level 20 from your mount specialist in your faction cities and level 30 you will learn how to fly. Then come level 40 you will learn the fastest form of flying.
7. Mythic + When you reach level 60 there are many forms of gameplay for you to get involved in. There are Mythic + which is effective dungeons just like when you level up, but harder, these dungeons give you keystones which unlock harder versions of the same dungeons. If you complete them within time you get great Loot! Many players upon dinging level 60 do a lot of mythic + as they get enjoyment from completing these at the highest level possible, you also get achievements for doing these.
8. PVP (Player VS Player) Another form of gameplay is PVP - Battleground and Arenas. If you are a more new or casual player there are normal battlegrounds & Arenas for you to duke it out fighting other players! But if you are really wanting to get the best gear and PVP Rating then there are Rated Battlegrounds and Rated Arenas where you can fight people of the same rating as you and potentially earn gear if you get a high enough rating. This gameplay is for Competitive players especially.
9. Another form of Gameplay is Raiding. Every new official patch there is a new raid with new gear for you to get. Raids are groups of 10+ players who go into a large area to fight difficult bosses with fun mechanics for you to learn how to combat and avoid. Defeating these bosses will grant you gear and much like Mythic +.
BONUS TIP: When you are level 60 there are currently 2 ZONES for you to explore and complete quests in: Korthia (Kill rares for mounts, complete quests for research etc) and Zereth Mortis a ZONE designed for those of you who love to collect (Find epic mounts, make mounts, find pets, transmogs and enjoy the game to your hearts content).

@@pietrogigante5930 Dudddeeee best of luck to you. Iâve actually managed to find a guild with vets who are extremely helpful when it comes to a lot of things iâm confused about. Donât get me wrong iâve still got TONS to learn, but itâs nice to have access to people who help you out when youâre in need. What server are you playing on?

@@jeffrodriguez3561 thank you, you're kind!! I'm not sure of it's name, I think it's Firestorm, but they have more than one server because there's different clients! I'm at level 33 at the moment and I would like to start doing dungeons, even if I'm still kind of slow
Some of my tips:
-look up professions and see what you like they are very fun
-be careful with the auction house, never buy armor from there if you need new armor Iâd recommend a dungeon with dungeon finder.
-once you get to lvl 50+ Iâd recommend you do older raids for money, transmog, and mounts.
-thereâs these things called heirloom itemsâŠvery important for leveling new characters if your planning on more than one character, bit pricy but Iâm sure you can find ideas on making gold.
-make goals for yourself to do in the game, me for example I like to be moderately strong while looking cool so I like to get transmog and mounts.

I'm in my early 70's and have played WoW with my kids for years! I too use a few keybinds--- you can't play the game even reasonably well without them!
pro tip for new players.. get a razer naga or similar mouse.. its a game changer and makes playing these kind of games much more seamless.
How come?
there is a numpad on the side of the mouse. and with wow, swtor and others having TONS of active abilities.. it makes playing them much easier.
Question, when I played WoW during the lich king days I always just clicked on the abilities I wanted to use, even when I was max level and playing high level content, do you think keybinds for everything are really necessary? Or just a few keybinds depending on the class? Trying to see if I can get by just clicking on abilities as a beast master hunter.
@@donovan4222 i was the same way. but once i started using a naga and was able to bind all my skills, i didnt have to worry about looking at the keyboard ever again. also, your response time is night and day because you no longer have to worry about where your mouse pointer is on the screen.. and you no longer have to look at your action bar to make sure your mouse pointer is on the right action.. its just click and go.
also, in wow, you should be able to right click the mouse by default and move the camera around. i used that setup and then bound my A and D characters to strafe instead of turning.. i would then turn by right clicking. this makes a HUGE difference as well. it does take a little bit to get used to but trust me, its worth it and it makes the game a lot more fun.
this goes for games like star wars the old republic as well.. basically any game that uses a similar setup to WoW (e.g. FFIV).
lastly, there are various versions of the naga, but IMO, the razer naga is the best because the numpad on the side is already setup by default. with other brands, you have to setup the hotkeys through the software the mouse came with, and THEN setup your hotkeys in WoW. with naga you dont have to setup anything through the mouse software.. you just have to setup the keybindings in WoW or whatever game you play.

I think questing and leveling are the most enjoyable parts of the game. Iâd like to do dungeons and raiding but still havenât found a group to do that content with. There are so many ways to enjoy this game that Iâm not all that concerned about it.

Looking to get back into WoW. Came in at the tail end of TBC and the start of WOTLK. Loved it all the way up to MOP and quit because my stuff got hacked some how and fed up my characters and stuff so I quit.
Tried coming back and tried it again on new account in 20 and I hated it, hated the areas leveled with you and felt like you got no where as well as not being able to LFG and enjoy old dungeons while I leveled. Was stuck having to play I think BFA area or something. Hated it. Wanting to come back due to hearing about WOTLK classic servers but idk right now.

Never thought id be here but after my new job and having a few talks with some co-workers im actually finally interested in this game. So much stigma but after just playing FPS and random indie titles i think its something passive. and ive played minecraft but the way everyone talks about it at work just shows me the potential. Just want community, crazy to say im surprised im finding it in an MMO ..... đ€

Can you get decent gear LFG on mythic dungeons? I don't want to to raid. But I like doing dungeons
There isnât an auto queue for mythics you have to join a group but can make your own group. There are in game tools for that. They drop fairly good gear but better gear comes in higher level mythics.
mythic rank1-of-12 gear can be leveled up to 226 with using valor, which some quests give you as part of the covenant challenges or other loot-sacks.
mind you thats only halfway up to its level it can reach but you can't go past halfway on it without doing PVP/bg ranking.
that said Zereth Mortis, now that it is unlocked, are giving out 226, 229, and 233 gear like candy.
You can get your first mount at lvl 10 right after you complete Exiles Reach
âBe a tank/healer if you wantâ he says. What he doesnt say is to be ready to get roasted for playing these roles and not knowing the dungeon routes/strats

if u want to enjoy a great story and constant updates with tons of new content and not get price gouged out of oblivion with character boosts etc, play Final fantasy. Once you get the expansion and a sub there is no need to spend any more money.
the story content in Broken Isles / Legion portion of WoW is quite good, and doesn't cost extra.
@@markspc1285 there is boosting in ff14 also the story really isnt all that great. way to much use of old english wich for non native english speakers tend to be very frustrating and confusing at times

retail is easier to play solo in most cases
Just recently started the game again and had to make an new account unfortunately. Doing Havoc DH main and sometimes enjoy to be healer with Holy Paly. But its extremey furstrating to play when you are so weak compared to others and i know it takes lots of time to climb high enough to be competitive :D its just that i used to be ok now i have no chance alone agains an enemy.
leveling Resto feels like a specialty all its very own. or at least that's how it felt for me. My first character I played for over a year, druid, doing all the small things til a friend asked me to come help him with Western Plaguelands.
Back in those days that translated to "he's a squishy shadowpriest and he will die if you don't heal him. but you are too low level to hit any of these foes and they're high enough to crit, daze, and stun you. So get your best heals on or get used to the night elf death cry."

Everyone saying there lost itâs cause yâall are trying to hard to get everything perfect play a character build him look up a couple things figure out one key bind then make another character and by the time you max him you will know 3 key binds and that this stat is good and that you need this armor and you can download cursed forge for this and the third character you know this and that ect like I never once got overwhelmed until I started trying to figure out everything my friend had and was doing how he got geared how his keybidns are setup whatâs a transmog and this and that and trying to match it all or get close to understanding it all in one night just play have fun level and learn
Quick question. I started WOW (after 15 Years) again. But I did not check the real. Now I am in one in Germany (which is correct) but for new players. I am lvl 25 now and have hardly seen any other player. Can I transfer to another realm?
Just make a new character in the server you want, you are just in time.
blizz does sell a transfer service. you might have the same amount of fun leveling another char at several realms that are more populated.
They occasionally merge realms, but it's rare.
lvl 25 is nothing (as the game really is layed out for endgame content) you can easily switch the realm which is high populated or/and your friends play on it aswell
servers arent a problem really since you can do everything cross-realm and cross-faction except for raiding on mythic difficulty which you wont as a new retail player
@@Max-dv1kq I don't think he's too worried about playing-with-whom, but moving to a realm that isn't full of physical lag might be a big plus at enjoying the game day.
How to I heal in wow? Iâm a new player and I canât find any hp pots or anything to heal me during combat
Hey! Every class has some sort of healing ability. However that being said everyone has the ability to get food from vendors, create healing pots with alchemy, create bandages with tailoring, craft food with cooking, catch fish with fishing. There are many ways to keep healthy in wow it's all just a learning curve. đȘđŻ

you dont need to start in exil reach you can also click on old lvl starter zone

First time players (noobs) only can do exiles reach.
I just started playing again since Wrath of the Lich King, been away for a long while. I rolled a Undead mage and was pretty sad that I started in Exiles reach. I wanted to do my leveling in the undead zones by UC. But now I'm stuck leveling in Zandalzar or whatever it's called. :/
@@Trevorious2010 the areas work different now where enemies adapt to your level so you can still level after 10 in those starter zones I think.
