Holtzman's Survival Knife Review

- The Camping Survival Knife (The Bloodline) sold by Holtzman's Guirilla Survival is honestly quite a knife. I am reviewing this knife from a perpective of bushcrafting, survival and camping. As an outdoorsman, I am no stranger to knives, axes and saws and I have carried and used all sorts of knives since I was a kid. This all round survival knife is made of 1095 high carbon and it is 8.6 " long. The blade that fully extends through the entire handle, making it a full tang, is 4" long. The handle is 1.4 inches wide and composed of G10 material, making it lightweight, yet very rugged and blister free. The kydex sheath is a feature I really like and it allows you to fully customize where and how it clips to your belt and can even be worn around the neck although it is just a little heavy for that in my opinion. The sheath also provides storage for a ferro rod (decent size, bigger than the ones sold in sporting and outdoors stores), and storage for the striker. Both striker and ferro rod have G10 handles that are black with orange accent underneath, and their storage compartments can be removed. A little large for some people who want it for EDC, but I really like the knife. #bushcraftknife #survivalknife #camping

Yep! Works great! French press coffee is some of my favorite
I'm sorry but 1095 is more brittle than 440C. however 1095 is better for impact applications like batoning for processing firewood. and it holds a edge way longer than 440c

As soon as I saw the inchworm crawling across his shirt, I started trying to predict when he would first notice it out of the corner of his eye..
LOL! TBH, I didn't know. I try hard to just look at the lens and not the screen while filming. In this video, I was better at NOT looking at the screen. I had no idea until I felt something on my neck, but I just figured it was something hopefully unnoticeable and continued with talking. It's hard when it's a mosquito biting me and I have to stay focused, or ants - lol. When I found the inchworm, I thought it had just landed on me from the tree, above. Later, I get home and edit the video and I notice the inchworm and stressed......then I burst out laughing and figured....typical...always something distracting, but this one was too funny not to laugh about. I LITERALLY wondered two days ago why noone ever mentioned the inchworm. You made me smile.

Yeah, I actually scanned the comments before leaving my post, looking to see if anyone had noticed the inchworm and commented on it. But I didn't see anything, so I felt _obligated_ to make a sarcastic remark. 😁
I've never(yet) posted a video of my own in CZcams or elsewhere, so the idea of having to maintain focus on filming while being bitten by mosquitoes or ants had never previously occurred to me.
BTW, I live in Northern Delaware, which I assume is in the same general climate region as the Pine Barrens of New Jersey. But I don't recall ever seeing any large spotted salamanders anywhere around here, despite growing up fishing and camping in semi-rural areas of northern Delaware and southeastern Pa. Maybe I just didn't search hard enough.
The only time I ever see lizards of any type, is when I go down to Martin county Florida in early spring each year. Lizards are all over the place down there! There's been an "invasion" of these silly curly tailed lizards and red headed rock agamas in just the last few years in our townhouse neighborhood in Hobe Sound. It used to be all we'd see there were brown and green anoles, but that all changed 2 years ago.
The male agamas often have bright blue bodies and bright orange heads and tails, but the females are just brown. The males sometimes have "harems" of several females who hang out nearby them. I always look forward to seeing the lizards and other unusual wildlife when I go down there. Down in the northern areas of the Everglades, they have full sized oscars swimming in the water, and large, green iguanas on the banks.
I had to stop the car and move 2 different turtle species out of the road in just 1 week near our place in Hobe Sound. In the meantime, I've only seen 2 turtles in the road in Delaware in 33 years.
