This made me cry!! They were so close and he was so proud of her. I remember when Katie was on an episode of " Say yes to the Dress"picking out her wedding dress.and she talked about how her dad had pretty much come off the rode from touring by the time she came along and had just been an ordinary dad to her and brother Sam.its very sad,especially for her young children.My condolences to Hank,Mary Jane and their family.

@@flordelrio57 she died in a car wreck driving home from being at the lake all day. She had a boat attached to her vehicle. Please keep her family and friends in your prayers. Her brother Sam goes live on Facebook from time to time.. Her kiddos and husband are alive. ( her kids weren't in that vehicle.) but her husband has a long road of recovery.

@@flordelrio57 yeah it's devastated our whole community. People that never met her thinks she was stuck up. But in reality she was super nice to EVERYONE She met. Her brother posted that she was the only one in the family that couldn't sing. Lol. But that didn't matter cause she done other things with her time. Such as her own boutique Weston Jane. I believe that what's it's called. I went to elementary school with her. She was so awesome. She's missed that's for sure.

Hank had just gotten through with a funeral of his aunt , the last connection to his mother . And then to lose his daughter just days later . Somethings can bring the toughest man , down to bended knees . You know he fell off AJAX mountain in August of 75 , by November of 75 , just 3 short months later he lost his mother while trying to rehab from all his injuries. After ALL , this man's been through . Its a small constellation , but put him in the country music HOF next to Hank Sr where he belongs . This family has given so much to country music , it's time to do the right thing . Hank Jr = HOF !!!!!!!

Never met Hank, but did work with Katie when I did her hair for the Mike Beatty Expo in Dallas. Met Mary Jane later that day. Yes.....they are just as gracious in person as they are here. Mary Jane gave me a card, signed by everyone and gave it to me at the end of the Expo. The hug was another surprise. Off and on I still cry about it. Still have the card. A beautiful Hank legacy.
I think Hank Williams must has been a very good father. It is very sad this daughter was killed in a car accident, was a wife and mother too. You can tell she loved to see his smile and hear his voice. Didn't he and his wife divorce, correct me if they are still together? He has married good women.
