- Country singer Ingrid Andress is receiving criticism online for her rendition of the National Anthem at the 2024 Home Run Derby in Arlington, Texas on July 15. The country star takes to her social media accounts on July 16 to admit that she was intoxicated while singing the National Anthem and says she is planning to check into a rehab facility.

Not nice!!!!! Dissing anyone for honestly singing the National Anthem is wrong. There was no ill intent here. At a time where there is talk of changing the National Anthem, or also playing the "black" national anthem, or the taking a knee during, or the players not attending the singing of, is NOT the time to criticize the sing ability of the selected performer. ALL renditions are beautiful, if given from a pure heart.
