I wonder what she would say if she encountered a 1500 pound Kodiak bear in the woods. It would have claws 6" long and stand 10 feet tall on its hind legs. It would not care if a person is male, female, lgbtq, non binary or anything else. The woman would simply be lunch.
I've had several bear encounters through my work in northern Ontario. Real live, wild bears.

I live in West Virginia and live around bears. Bears are around and one needs to be careful in spring after bear get out of hibernation. I actually had a very close encounter with a bear one time. A bear was in my pool at 3am. I thought it was my black lab and did not see it was a bear until it saw me. The damn thing crawled out of the pool stood up on its back leg resting its front legs on my deck railing, stared at my and grunted. I am 6'04" man and that bear scared the hell out me. Luckily, I scared the bear off by raising my hands above my head and yelling at it. That was a scary encounter.

The idea that because there are less bear attacks, bears are safer is possibly the dumbest thing you could possibly say. Women don't see bears often and there are warnings EVERYWHERE. Hell, just you having food might cause a bear to attack you, people are eaten alive by bears, bears are not nice creatures, they are large, dangerous predators. Men wish they were as threatening as a bear.
