    Nice job. My only suggestion would be, since you had the hub apart, you should have pulled the spindle out and inspect the bearings and seals. If you're going to go that far, might as well go all the way.

    Don't bother with replacing the spindle nuts with the stock lock/star nuts. They're prone to failure even when new. Get the "BlueHummer" locking spindle nuts from ModMafia and never have to replace them again. It's the 1st upgrade to make to the truck without a doubt.

    One recommendation, after torquing the nut to 40 lb-ft, and rotating the wheel forwards, and backwards, put the socket and torque wrench back on and without loosening, tighten to 40 again and note if the socket/nut moved, if it did, repeat, if it did not, loosen and re-torque to 25.

      Agreed,
      Even more, if your going to all this detail just as preventative maintenance…
      I would:
      Torque to 20 rotate
      Torque to 40 rotate
      Relieve
      Torque to 20 rotate
      Torque to 25 rotate
      Torque to 25 done

    no Humvee -surplus sales in Germany (most are given as mil.-aid/help = especially to Ukraine
    +- 600 ea;) Dekades back, I had had various suvs, best of All - US-Mil.-Vehicles.= -did start w/M38A1,

    A few questions;
    - looks like most the fasteners are imperial? Or is it a mix?
    - how long after auction win do you actually get the truck?
    - any suggestions on noise reduction?

    Hi friend. I would like to explain better what I did today. the 2 radiators placed in the upper part have been completely disassembled and worked to have them restored. one if I'm not mistaken is that of air conditioning and the other that of engine and transmission oil. As for the latter, first of all, I have a question for you. 1) Should the gear oil level be checked with the dipstick when the engine is running and when it is hot? 2) after draining the coolant from the drain valve, I added 17 liters. How many liters do you need? 3) today I dedicate myself to the level of the engine coolant. I filled the tank to maximum and turned on the h1 from a standstill by turning the main and auxiliary fan to maximum by moving the heater knob completely hot and waiting for the engine to reach normal operating temperature. the car remained stationary during this operation with the engine running without driving. When the engine reached normal operating temperature, I unscrewed the screw of the 2 air bleeds but not a lot of air came out and no coolant came out. because? I'm asking you this because I don't want to cause engine damage and burn the cylinder head gasket. thanks friend .
    Kings regards Gianfranco
