Hey Pete just want to say your channel should be over 1million subs with your kindness and the love of your family with it thank you Pete!
I like to think its a quality not quantity thing with his subs 😃
I agree
He’d make a great caretaker of the redwood forest in California. The old guy is 90+ who’s been doing it, and I think Pete meets all the qualifications.
i Ron do like watching your farm work and talking

It always helps to have an RN to diagnose the insufficiency of your garden hose. Retired CRT,EEG Tech. 💙
My Mother would agree!! She's an RN too.
Know one cares what your jobs were
Pete, For a gas container vent hole I drill a 3/8 hole and insert a complete tire valve stem then remove the schrader valve. Un-screwing the valve cap allows air to replace the fuel as it exits.
Great tip. The elegance of simplicity are a hallmark of right thinking.👍
Rain is passing hard through SW Ohio right now and it's headed your way Pete. God bless you and your family!
@RewopSiEgdelwonk69 Ok. Try praying to the One true God through His Son Jesus and you'll get better results. :) Much love from the Dayton, Ohio area.
Pete I'm happy when your happy. The day went well, I'm glad. See you soon.
I agree the new gas cans are a pain. I modified my cans using a semi-truck (nut screws down on the value core)value core and it works great. I think they are about $2 on Amazon. Drill a hole in the can (turn can upside down and the material will not fall in the can). Use a piece of wire with a hook on the end to feed the valve core thru the gas can opening and pull it up into the hole that you drilled. Place the nut on the top side of the valve core. Remove the valve stem and use the value cap to seal the stem when not in use. It took less than 5 minutes to make the modifications.
Gator guy thanks for the great tip!
This channel is for sure my favorite, not only is it entertaining but there is a lot of really good info and tips.
My husband and I love watching your video's. Farm life keeps you busy and tired, but a good kind. I lived on a farm for 5 years as a kid and it was my favorite time in my childhood.
I just got my catheter out this morning after a bladder tumer was removed by my urologist . I hope I have the flow of your hose by the end of the day.lol
I think Pete is like the Mr. Rogers of farming. Either way, a breath of fresh air.
Best analogy I can think of
Right on! Pete is Mr. Rogers :)
That's who he reminds me of. Man I was like, this guy reminds me someone.
Mr Peter, am ready to work with you
Wonder how many people watch both Just a Few Acres and ViceGripGarage YT channels regularly 😄 This guy ✋Well I'll be dipped.
Love vice grip garage.
Atleast I’m not the only one noticing him using VGGs sayings 😅
When I stumbled on his videos I had to binge watch then. That's hard to do when most of them are an hour or longer.
Your lovely wife is a great chicken farmer she's a really good at at that probably a lot of other things to do but she's good at dealing dealing with the chickens I love your videos so down to earth so country fried
Pete your attitude in life, an situations that come up, an how you handle them are amazing!thanks for your channel! I would be lost without it .
It’s all that quality meat he consumes!!!
Pete, your channel is great! I love it and always look for a new one. And your Dear wife Hillary is wonderful also with her laid back quiet manner. With all her behind the scene work, home making, raising the children, and helping with all the chores I think she is pretty special!
Pete, you are suppose to reply, I thank so too!!
A have a lot but i go no market
Õ
I completely agree on the new fuel cans. They are so aggravating. I enjoyed the video.
Interesting video. I did not realize how many chickens you raise
You must sell a lot of meat chickens as well as eggs. Then all the
cattle. Based on the number of freezers in your barn, you likely
have markets for the pork and beef as well. A true mixed farm
setup. I love that you show us the real work involved in living your
dream life👍🏻🥰
I hope your endorsement for h's pays off and we start seeing more of them put back to work and out of the scrap pile. They really are wonderful tractors!
Glad to see that you took the head from the MD a little further apart. You really are saving yourself by having another shop go through it and not chancing another dropped valve. I love your channel Pete and we need more people like you in this world! Excellent job!
You had a very good day!! This is what loving what you do looks like!!
I'm a US Soldier currently deployed to Poland. This channel brings me home. I feel like I'm living on your farm. Thanks for sharing your lifestyle.
You were correct Pete, this video did have a little something for everyone. Chickens, cows. pigs, cat, (old Ezera) out Tom cattin again! and like you I love to listen to a Sickle bar mower. with tractor or with horses. both are soothing to me. I keep waiting when you are doing fence line to "miss the swing" and hit and knock over a fence post, but you have not done that yet. (not that you've shown us anyway) and of course the MD parts update and new machine shop try. Hope the new guy does what you expect of a good machinist to do.A good shop will not want for work, used to be one locally and they were a pair of brothers. up in age but their work was beyond reproach. and the whole area wen to them and I talked to hundres of guys who did nothing but praise them so lets hope this is the case with your new guy. good luck there and thanks for another great video. ECF
Dave Richards is awesome! You should go check out his channel!
I have known Dave Richards for several years now, he has done work for 2 of my brothers and it has been excellent. His back shop is steam powered with line shafting running almost everything.
Good Morning Pete & Hillary. I love to watch your videos in the morning before going to work. I always have a calm, enjoyable day. I think it's the animals. I just feel like you're talking directly to me, having a great conversation about what's going on in your world. Thanks for sharing your world.
Ive been a subscriber of Davids for a few years he is one of the best I've seen on the old machines, he takes his time and cares what he is doing, seems to have quite a following on YT
The best kind of video, just simple chores with the animals, love it
They sell a kit on Amazon to convert those dummy proof cans to the old style.
You can do like 6 cans for 15 bucks or so.
Good call on the MD Pete. I know your MD is more than just a tractor to you because it's like a part of the family. I feel the same way about my little Ford 2N that I call "Henry." Take care and say a prayer or two for some rain.
I love those old sickle mowers. We used one behind our old H for years cutting stuff like alfalfa and clover. They are kinda hard to find in decent shape anymore.
You are right! You cannot make everyone happy. . . but hey!!! You made me happy. So that's one and I see 12,000 likes already.
Wow, you really have a lot going on this year. That's awesome!
I miss the sounds and smells of a farm. Some don't appreciate it!
That bedding is a great idea. Allows for drainage as well. Too bad you don't have a roller to pack it down some to help prevent erosion from use and the weather.
55 gallon drums work pretty well for that and are easy to make!
Hi Pete and wife, thanks again for video. I will be glad when you get the MD or tractor done. Take care.
Thank you, Pete for making me happy. 😃
I have been following Dave Richards long before I found your channel.
Have a wonderful weekend.
You absolutely made the right call taking the head to David, his work is fantastic. He's one of the guys that understands not just how to do things, but why to do them.
Hello pete
Sorry my bad English.. I watch this channel nearly every day whit my 2 year old boy, we love it, and you make it sow easy, no stress, on complains, good handling of your farme stok. But still simple. I have a farm here in Denmark, in would love to have what you have.
Thanks for all the tips and good explaining!!
I was extremely happy to see the H and the sickle bar mower. I have very fond memories of mowing alpha and wheat straw as some of the last things I did on our farm before we lost it. Thank you soo very much.
I’ve watched David for years! That heads in good hands.
I feel you on the rain Pete. We haven’t had rain in a month and we’ve had triple digit temps. Love all your videos keep up the good work.
I'm always happy with your videos Pete. Always a well off information, open and honest without throwing anyone under the bus. Hope you get rain soon.
Hi meta
The video made me happy, Pete. They always do. Have a wonderful day!
13:00 minutes of the video: Love the ode to Derrick from Vice Grip Garage! haha. The daily chores are my favorite videos.
I watch Dave’s channel. I’m a retired machinist, however I was raised in farm country. It stinks when you loose faith in your machine shop, I understand because we do race engines and you definitely need faith in their work
it has been bone dry in coastal NC also, finally got some rain last night, hopefully it head north to you!
Nice video! Love the morning fog!
Another great vid Pete. I even paused it to look briefly at David's Channel. it is indeed interesting. Then I realized I'm not a gearhead and ran back to your channel. Thanks again!
I like watching all aspects of the farm life. I was never a mechanic but always enjoyed tinkering with suff around the house that needed fixing. Even used to do tune- ups on our old cars before the computer age. Had a few ducks, chickens, quail and a turkey, so the animal content is cool too watch and bring back memories.
Every time I see that you posted a new video a smile jumps onto my face!!
love your personality, made my day so much better!
you always make me happy. Your voice is so soothing. I also love when Hill is part of the show.
That is a great sickle bar mower. I used to have one in a three point hitch in it without Moe a new Holland 451! Best sickle bar mower I ever used!
Nice job. I used to love to mow with the neighbors 1955 cub with the belly mount mower.
It's great to wake up every morning at such a beautiful and peaceful farm
My favorite CZcams channel is Just a Few Acres - thank you! It is the one channel my husband and I both enjoy. I'm glad to see Hilary getting more comfortable on camera. You have the personality to lead, but I do enjoy hearing her perspective - even if its just a smile!
You always have good content Pete! Thanks for taking us along
Love your nod to Derek and VGG. Between your channel, and Derek’s, my 2 favorite things to watch. Your channels are different in many ways but your work ethic and self reliance are very much the same. I have so much respect for your work ethic, and Derek’s also.
I have been watching Dave’s Old Steam Powered Machine Shop for years. He is amazing, talented man.
I remember as a child walking into a Blacksmith Steam shop with belts everywhere from a steam engine. Very confusing and intimidating. The belts were moving overhead, noise from steam engine, forge blower heating up metal and the big steam hammer pummeling the hot metal. The smell of hot metal and the occasional goose grease dunk. I was ready to run.
Everyone is happy how could they not be.
You will like Dave. He is a skilled mechanic and an expert on steam and using steam to power a lot of his shop. I call him oldfashioned.
Glad to hear David is reworking the head, I've been a long time subscriber to his channel. He'll get those issues squared away.
Thank you, Pete, for once again giving us an island of calm.
Thanks for sharing buddy it’s terrible how companies are now days you never know if you are going to get good work or your moneys worth from them hopefully this guy will do a better job
I enjoy the tune of your voice and passion in farming
Are there such peaceful farms near where you live?
Have a great day yourself!!!!!😊
Pete all your videos make me happy! I love all your content! Great Chanel! Great video! Thanks Pete for all your hard work!
All of your videos make me happy. I love all aspects of the small farm life. I grew up in a farming community where there were tons of small farms like yours.
Pete,I’m surprised about the machine shop, someone got lazy! I have places I go to,that I don’t go back to anymore, jus for the same reasons. Wisdom is most helpful to have. See ya on the next vid.
I've held back on saying anything bad about them for over a year. It's a small world ya know. But the valve guides were the last straw.
I'm always happy with your vlogs. Something always comes up but ends up much better than it was. Take care always Pete n Hillary!
I love all the tractor extensions and gadgets you renovate and use. Here is where the “boys and their toys” urge really triumphs. Who needs an overpriced sports car, but THESE mechanical marvels make your farm life possible. And they are far cooler than any sports car.
Hard working farmer! I love animals !! All the best from Romania!!🥂🥂
Peter your such sweet guy with Animals , your family and friends ❤️ love to see the love you give.
I am happy mate, your channel is breath of fresh air.
I'm happy that your parts for the MD got to you, keep your head up I hope you have great day and keep producing more videos for us to watch, I do love watching your CZcams channel alot.
Pete, thought I'd mention that watching your channel for me is a bit like getting the experience of being a small Farmer on a well maintained farm with many of the daily challenges . Just wanted to say thank you for being the Man that you are the wittiness sense of humor and all thanks Guy
Hey Pete, you can buy retrofit kits for the dummy proof cans. $16 for a 3 can kit
Where?
Hi Pete. I enjoy your videos. I recently found out that you can buy replacement spouts for gas cans to replace those equipped with those idiot spouts that are so aggravating and slow. My local auto parts store has them.... I also rewatched your old video about when you built the addition on your house and your garage and shop. So interesting to watch. You are smarter and more talented than you realize. You give inspiration to tackle what some might consider impossible. Thanks.
Thank you for the tip. Dave has a very interesting channel...I can understand your choosing his work.
Shalom! Your farm is beautiful, your riddles are too! Blessings to you and yours!
Made me happy! Thank you and see you next time.
*My grandfather used to be a very successful trader in the seafood trade and from a young age he always wanted to have a peaceful life with a farm with some organic animals and vegetables. .
At the age of 52, he quit his job and started his own farm. He lived a very happy life there until he was 89 years old.*
I'm always happy with your video choices, Pete 👍They make for the best watching and entertainment and not forgetting education 😉 All the best from the UK to You, Hillery and the kids 🇬🇧
Thanks Pete..If everyone is not happy then they don't know good videos when they see them...blessings...
So many hungry critters! Thanks for taking us along.
Hi Pete! I think the Farmall H is a great tractor, dad had one that I did my first hay work with in the late 60's, miss running one. There is a lot to be said about the trust we place in folks to do the best job and the realization when it doesn't get done. I can understand your frustrations with the machine shop. In 2019 I had a clutch put in my tractor, it had to be redone in 2021. I had done business with those folks for 10+ years, but I had someone else fix their mistakes. Thanks for sharing, have a fantastic weekend.
Always a pleasure! Back in the 50s I ran an H and an M, the was gas. Both hard workin and easy to handle. I think the pasture will spring back with some rain. The chickens, in all their stages, are lookin good! I don't I'll ever get tired of the sounds you "walk in" on a farm. I never have, after 78 years.
Pete is the Mr. Rogers of small farms!
Pete, love the sound of the "H" at work, sorry the "MD" wasn't done right at that shop. good luck as you rebuild. I sure hope the "love for your farm", shown by yourself, Hillarie, and kids is passed on through your channel to a lot of the up and coming young farmers throughout the nation.
Hey guys love watching your channel puts a 😊 on my face and joy in my ♥️. It's GREAT to know there are still AWESOME people out here making material that a FAMILY can enjoy together,so THANKS again for the ray of sunshine 🌞 Just a Few Acres Farm brings to my family here in the Great Smoky Mountains of TN ya'll.
PS: Started watching Richards channel as well love the steam controlled machine shop😊
Now Pete you know some people are going to be like Patty. No matter what you do or show the going to complain. 😆 Enjoyed the video keep up the good work.
I'm a huge fan of VVG myself. Loved your video as normal!
I was worried about the machine work done originally, seemed to be too many excuses, but in saying that, its difficult finding a good one, my first engine build was a 283 Chevy with domed pistons, the machine shop put them on the rods backwards, had to take them back and show him how to set them. My best machine shop had the ceiling belt driven equipment like the one you were just at, older guy and done amazing work, , Mcgowen machine works, Globe Az... another great video Pete
Another so soon your spoiling us mr Pete, thanks again fella 👍
Hi Pete and Hillary this is Tom and Ronda from Goshen Indiana. We both grew up on farms. Tom on a dairy farm and I we had cattle chickens and crops. I have 6 sisters and 3 brothers. We butchered chickens and took them to South Bend farmers market every Saturday. For over 25 yrs. I had John Deere and Tom had that red tractor. We both enjoy your videos. I enjoy your 2 bulls and how you say Come on Cows. They follow you with no problem. And your boss Cow Patti. Well guess I wrote enough. You guys take care.
Another great interesting video thanks Pete and to you lovely wife as well.

Great video Pete, a little bit of everything, Including Patty.👍👍💛🐃🐖🐥🐔
And a little drive in your local country. Thank you!
Well Pete...for what it's worth I'm happy. Love urology humor! Great video. Thanks for sharing!
Another great episode! Thank you and your family for sharing the farm with us!
“Lost at sea (C)”. Very funny. Great video. Enjoyed the diversity of content.
Your personality makes you videos enjoyable. Plus I really like your farm. Joel Salatin would be proud of those chicken tractors.
It's great that he has a peaceful life with an organic farm. This is something that many rich people also crave
