I love this man so brilliant, resourceful, eloquent and thoughtful. He's so objective. I always love is comments on public issues.
Mr. Osita is one of the finest brains in Nigeria, very balanced in all he does, very knowledgeable any day, anytime and in everything.
Kudos man!
The first time I have watched a program on channels Tv multiple times. Kudos to the eloquent Chidoka
Osita Chidok is always a mobile seat of wisdom, giving sense to us his listeners. He knows the roads that will serve Nigerian economically. Grateful sir O.C.
Mr Chidioka. As far as Nigeria road is concerned, you know your onions . I respect you for great analysis. Kudos.
He is capable way beyond Nigerian roads, my brother.

Thumbs up for Osita Chidoka. This is the kind of people the president should have brought closer to him for advice on matters like this.

You wey your state lack good federal road, lack clean water and electricity is talking about coastal road.
Mr Chidoka is more intelligent than you and stop trolling on the comment section as if you're anywhere relevant.
As a one time trailer driver in Nigeria who has navigated the 36 states, I can tell you that Osita has the Nigerian road network at his finger tip.
It also doesn’t take away the fact that he is just eloquent and has not positively impacted this nation, Mind you, he studied in Singapore where Lee Kuan Yuu solved a lifetime national crisis, I keep wondering when we will implement the things we learn abroad.
Also, I can speak as a one time road user and freight forwarder at Apapa warf that indeed the coastal highway 🛣️ is almost useless.
That’s a waste of fund in a dying economy.
Legacy my foot!
He was Corps Marshall with the FRSC.. so he has to know the Nigerian road network.
@@obainomilano I agree, it’s still possible that in our celebration of mediocrity over meritocracy one can function in that office and be ignorant of our road networks.
Thank Mr. Osita for your wise analysis and objective views. I'm from Calabar, Cross River state, the project is needless it's of no use to us. The road from Calabar to Uyo, Akwa Ibom is not motorable though they've been trying to work it for years. The FG should fix Calabar Itu road period not the Lagos-Calabar Coastal road
You've said it all, God bless you.
i from cross river state.
Tinubu's only intention is to destroy the relevance of seaport cities like, Calabar, Portharcourt and Warri and promote only Lagos. Why is Tinubu working against the dredging of the Calabar seaport if he is intersted in developing South South?
@@el-rufaithebanditslover2313You are the only person that seems to decode the whole deception. Why will FG be interested in linking all the coastal states when all Tinubu with his men was supposed to do was ensure that all the seaports are operational. Why would someone from Delta or Rivers or Calabar come to Lagos to clear his goods when there are seaports in those states? Does it mean that only seaports in Lagos will be functional? And these people were clapping their hands for a project that was filled with deception. They will soon clamour for the road to link Badagry Seaport so that only Lagos seaports (Apapa, Badagry, and Lekki) will be the goto location for all vessels coming into Nigeria.
God bless you my brother

They are analyzing the Lagos Calabar Road and its demerits and wastages, but you want to carry the conversation to where we do not know.
How about addressing the numerous cogent points he raised rather than deflecting to a time that was over 20 years ago? We cannot go back to when he served in FRSC , which by the way, his tenure saw the digitization and ease of registering of many FRSC process so I don't even know what you are complaining about. But even then, can we go back in time to prevent him from serving at FRSC? If you can then go ahead.
But we can do something NOW IN THE PRESENT about the corruption and share wastage of resources that this white elephant project of Lagod Calabar Coastal Highway. Focus on the matter at hand and stop deflecting.

Mr Chidoka has displayed immense brilliance and knowledge in this matter.
I hope those who should listen are actually doing so.
Nigeria govt need to listen to this guy. He’s making sense to me. God bless you! Mr. Chidi.

Even Itu road in Calabar is in bad shape for years The Federal Government has been on that road. The truth about this project is that it's just going to end in Lagos.
Trust Nigerians, even when the project is going to be beneficial to the Nigerians in that axis, people will always challenge it. Has he done his findings? If he has, he should provide us with information so we can be on the same page as him and not just give us intellectual information.
@@VinoeP from Lagos to Calabar is not viable enough to waste that kind of amount of money in this difficult, Mr Chidoka is in order, no ethnic group in Nigeria knows Nigeria too well than ndigbo, that coastal road will be like the international airport built by Dave Umahi in Ebonyi state that nobody is using as we speak, his state remain one of the poorest in the country, the money he would've invested in the lives of the youths of his state who are very hardworking but you see them everywhere hawking gala and Pepsi, I don't he's wise enough to be challenging the likes of Mr Peter Obi, he lack capacity to do so, they should go back to the drawing board and get their priority right.

I agree with Osita 💯. The idea of this project is unnecessary, ill-conceived and is not economically viable but some myopic minds won't understand. Nigeria is even too broke to fund it.
Alternatively, let's repair and dualize existing interstate highways and expand the standard gauge railway network across major cities.
Okay, tell us layman’s what you mr.prescient sees that we don’t ? Since we are so myopic. What’s the problem with building a new road. If you were to tell any country fix all old infrastructure before beginning any new ones, the world would be in a state of inertia 😂

Because it's all about scamming the people and running away with their money 💰. And you won't be able to do anything 😞.
What about the Road's implications on Nigeria's Blue Ocean Economy Strategy ? The assertion that because there are Ports on Onne,PH, Calarbar, etc along the Coast still doesn't substitute road & rail network along the Coastal line. The Atlantic Coast isn't an Inland Water Way Traffic . How many International Ocean going Vessels make Port calls outside of Lagos to PH , Onne? Exceptional cases when it involves oversize cargo meant for Projects like in Oil services. The Coastal Road will open up other Costal States currently under developed in areas of Agriculture, Mining , Aquaculture, Tourism & Hospitality etc , amongst other potential Investments that will move to those areas. My suspicion is that this road is seen by some section as a Political & Geographical stroke to build a bridge amongst the Ethnic Groups along the Coast especially the Oil producing States whilst further isolating the hinterland secessionists groups from the Coastal Communities. This may be the real unverbalised anger some section have about the road. I am not making excuses for the alleged corruption involved in the contract award process. Is anything corrupt free in Nigeria ??
Unverbalised anger is not a crime punishable by the law Sir.
@aromaye, I love your insightful contribution, we have other people who refuse to see the brighter side of the project. A new road opens a new frontier. I remember the professional of engineers came up with a road plan that runs through the whole country, just like the major express way that connects all the states in America.

I wonder how long the Lagos coastal road will actually take to be done.
Government is talking of transparency. They knew the procedures to follow. But Corruption is involved here.
It's a selfish interest. Spending that money on all federal roads across the country will serve a better purpose than the coastal highway. A bet you, this project will end in Lagos. But what do I know. The way government handles taxpayers money is unbelievable.
This kind talk is not new for ABAT. It is important to note that Lagos was never the same again after governor Tinubu same way Naija will never be the same again after President Tinubu.
When he opened up the Lekki corridor back in 1999, apart from chevron, swamp forests and scanty beaches, there was nothing on ground. But 20 years later the story is different. Ppl are going as far as using their own modas do ritual so they can live in Lekki. All they did was to build standard access road.
