As a one time trailer driver in Nigeria who has navigated the 36 states, I can tell you that Osita has the Nigerian road network at his finger tip.
It also doesn’t take away the fact that he is just eloquent and has not positively impacted this nation, Mind you, he studied in Singapore where Lee Kuan Yuu solved a lifetime national crisis, I keep wondering when we will implement the things we learn abroad.
Also, I can speak as a one time road user and freight forwarder at Apapa warf that indeed the coastal highway 🛣️ is almost useless.

@@el-rufaithebanditslover2313You are the only person that seems to decode the whole deception. Why will FG be interested in linking all the coastal states when all Tinubu with his men was supposed to do was ensure that all the seaports are operational. Why would someone from Delta or Rivers or Calabar come to Lagos to clear his goods when there are seaports in those states? Does it mean that only seaports in Lagos will be functional? And these people were clapping their hands for a project that was filled with deception. They will soon clamour for the road to link Badagry Seaport so that only Lagos seaports (Apapa, Badagry, and Lekki) will be the goto location for all vessels coming into Nigeria.

I agree with Osita 💯. The idea of this project is unnecessary, ill-conceived and is not economically viable but some myopic minds won't understand. Nigeria is even too broke to fund it.
Alternatively, let's repair and dualize existing interstate highways and expand the standard gauge railway network across major cities.

What about the Road's implications on Nigeria's Blue Ocean Economy Strategy ? The assertion that because there are Ports on Onne,PH, Calarbar, etc along the Coast still doesn't substitute road & rail network along the Coastal line. The Atlantic Coast isn't an Inland Water Way Traffic . How many International Ocean going Vessels make Port calls outside of Lagos to PH , Onne? Exceptional cases when it involves oversize cargo meant for Projects like in Oil services. The Coastal Road will open up other Costal States currently under developed in areas of Agriculture, Mining , Aquaculture, Tourism & Hospitality etc , amongst other potential Investments that will move to those areas. My suspicion is that this road is seen by some section as a Political & Geographical stroke to build a bridge amongst the Ethnic Groups along the Coast especially the Oil producing States whilst further isolating the hinterland secessionists groups from the Coastal Communities. This may be the real unverbalised anger some section have about the road. I am not making excuses for the alleged corruption involved in the contract award process. Is anything corrupt free in Nigeria ??

This kind talk is not new for ABAT. It is important to note that Lagos was never the same again after governor Tinubu same way Naija will never be the same again after President Tinubu.
When he opened up the Lekki corridor back in 1999, apart from chevron, swamp forests and scanty beaches, there was nothing on ground. But 20 years later the story is different. Ppl are going as far as using their own modas do ritual so they can live in Lekki. All they did was to build standard access road.
For the most part, many of the naysayers back than are no longer around today to eat their words but thank God for preserving ABAT for us to do it one more time.
