Good hitout. I daresay there was a lot more happening behind the scenes in terms of GSC ops and the flight itself. I’m not sure what some other commenters were expecting - perhaps a barrel roll. ..I’ll be looking forward to seeing the next series of flights.

Looks like you need some air to air footage…

Maiden hover, perhaps. Maiden flight, I think not.

I think your definition of flight is a little different to what everyone else thinks it is! But yes, transition to forward flight is the other half of the entire process of testing and tuning. Can’t rush these things!

Lam duck video! Blah balh blah and film from 200 feet away while you hover 10 feet off the ground!

Edit: Lame duck. This ain’t a hobby rc aircraft and from 30m away the GoPro makes everything look smaller. Yes, 10inches or 10m, it was its first flight and qualifies as such.
If it was mine, I’d “ send it” and attach a fpv camera on it etc but lots of hours and $$ involved so maybe not!

Needs a tilt mechanism in the front to make the spiny thing point forward.

Lol you can't use fancy words like mechanism and spinny thing. That's to much for me.😂

There are designs that do that but not with the endurance of the efi engine. Also Motors and props design to hover efficiently are never efficient in forward flight and vice versa. Maybe with a constant speed prop./ collective pitch system However, that would make the system heavier and you get diminishing returns.
