  • WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED to VITOR ROQUE at FC BARCELONA 🤯
In the summer of 2023, Barcelona made a huge statement when they bought a new Brazilian star, 18-year-old Athlético Paranaense striker Vitor Roque!
    [his most beautiful goals]
€31 million, the status of a future star of the club who may define an era at Barça!
But now we only hear rumoгrs about Roque's possible departure - even on permanent transfer!
So what happened? Did the Catalans really buy a pig in a poke? And why could Vitor Roque leave the club of his dreams with a scandal?
The Fanatico channel has already figured it all out and will tell you the answers right now!
    The beginning
We must admit, the history of Vitor Roque's relationship with Barcelona went awry from the very start... The club decided to invest €31 million in the striker's move, a rather large sum for the club's dire financial situation. However, one guy was not happy with this decision... and that guy's name is... XAVI!
No, no. The head coach of Barcelona had no personal reasons to be against the arrival of the 18-year-old prospect, in fact, he approved it. The problem lied in the transfer's timing - back in the summer of 2023, the first team needed a top-class defensive midfielder, though a lot of money was spent on a position that was already fully covered by Lewandowski and Ferran Torres.
The second bad timing in the situation with Vitor Roque's move occurred last winter, when Barcelona had the opportunity to add one more player for the season due to Gavi's long-term injury. It was then that Xavi once again asked to enter the transfer market and secure the services of a defensive midfielder, but the club instead decided to register the Brazilian striker's contract, which is how Vitor appeared in Blaugrana's main roster at the end of December...
Xavi lauded the newcomer, but went a bit overboard with his expectations for the transfer: "Future duel between Endrick and Roque like Messi and Ronaldo? They are players with very high expectations. Let's see.... It's too early to say it, but hopefully. Hopefully Vitor Roque's signing will be at the level of Messi or Cristiano!"
"Vitor Roque is a great signing, a great talent, and he can contribute a lot to us. I’m sure he will help us a lot! Vitor Roque has the intensity and the hunger I have been talking about. We'll see how he adapts, but he can be important for us," assured the Barcelona boss.
And, indeed, Xavi began to make use of the stellar newcomer from then on: 12 minutes against Las Palmas, 27 minutes against Real Betis, and 13 minutes against Villarreal. Later on, we saw his first goals, even the winning goals: the first one came during the clash against Osasuna, scored literally within a minute of being on the pitch, and then there was the away game against Alaves and a technically difficult goal netted with his left foot from a tricky spot - unfortunately, that match was marked by the first moment, which massively influenced Roque's prospects in Barcelona's starting eleven - in the 72nd minute the lad received a second yellow card for a hard collision with an Alaves defender - the decision was quite controversial, Barcelona even appealed to have it annulled, but eventually the Brazilian got suspended for the tie against Granada.
Right after that incident, Vitor got his dream chance - he came on from the first minutes against Celta Vigo, played 58 minutes, and since then his playing minutes have been on the decline again: 13 minutes against Getafe, 28 minutes against Mallorca, 13 minutes against Atletico Madrid, and 9 minutes against Las Palmas. On April 13, Vitor Roque made his last appearance for Barcelona, starting the match against Cadiz but getting subbed off in the 62nd minute. The 19-year-old striker didn't participate in big matches against PSG, Real Madrid, Valencia and Girona... Sometimes Vitor lost the competition even to the local graduate, Marc Guiu, who has better stats than the Brazilian wonderkid - the Spaniard played 182 minutes and landed 2 goals, while the Brazilian's figures are as follows - 310 minutes, 2 goals.
So, the forward, who was called "the new Ronaldo Nazario" and whose potential was estimated to be even higher than that of Andriy, has been sitting on the bench for almost a month now...
    And this situation EXPLODED!
    VITOR ROQUE/AGENT ATTACKS BARCELONA
Andre Cury, the footballer's agent, who works closely with Barcelona on the Brazilian market, unexpectedly went to the press and gave an interview about Vitor Roque's situation, in which he simply decided to slam the Catalan club and especially Barça head coach Xavi:
"Vitor Roque should have more minutes and no one understands why he's not getting them," Cury told RAC1.

@@randomidiot3177 dude a good player is not necessarily a good manager. Because he played well in his prime time doesn’t mean he is a good manager. Management needs different skills. A player job is different from manager job. Totally different things. So I don’t deny he has been a good player and he is a legend but as a manager he is a failure. What you said above is not reasons for Xavi as a coach but Xavi as a player.

Who said he is not a good player? We all saw what he was doing in Brazil. Just take note of what the Brazilian kids are doing in Madrid under very good coach, not the coach who doesn't have a plan B. If Vinny and Rodrigo were at Barca, Xavi would have destroyed them. Laporta will regret keeping Xavi and Madrid is going to dominate Barca for years to come if Xavi is at post.

Its Xavi who is a failure. This guy will destroy Barca. Laporta will regret keeping Xavi. Just look at whst Brazilian players are doing for Madrid. Now no young Brazilian player would want to come to Barca. If Xavi wants to form a Spanish national team in Barca, he should go and coach Spain. He has given all assistance to Ferran and wants to keep him. Xavi should leave legend or not. Keoman too is a Barca legend.
