    nice work! :D
    little advice: take a bit of masking tape and glue it over the LED meters.
    it will make them more readable, because they are way too bright! :D

      simply said, those "old school trafos" are very hard to find, and the newer ones are very expensive!
      but these modules are cheap, and a "laptop brick" is cheap and easy to find, too.
      and anyway, linear power supplies are nicer hot at high amps, and these switched modules, at 4-5 amps (it depend of their ratings) are really cold... anyway, room temperature, maximum. :)

    great DIY work, congratulations. I have 2 questions.
    1. There is no cable between the 7-segment layer and the sub-layer but how does the screen work?
    2. What was the 3-pin and 2-pin on the top layer for you removed from?

      1. It has terminal hole there and a brass connector act as wire.
      2. He removed potentiometers (Trimpots) that control voltage and current.

    Can adjust the current?

    • @englishrupe01
      @englishrupe01 Před 4 lety

      Yes, this module is a buck-boost with CC/CV. You just short out the positive and negative outputs at a LOW voltage (4-7v) and then adjust the current limit with the potentiometers. Then it wont go above that limit.

    • @englishrupe01
      @englishrupe01 Před 4 lety

      I actually just read up on their instructions and they recommend using a multimeter amperage circuit to set these, so just use that by shorting it out in the same way.

    Can I solder a normal 100 kOhm resistor to a 100 kOhm multiturn potentiometer in order to get to 200 kOhm? Can't find a 200 kOhm multiturn potentiometer! My step up booster uses the 204w trimmpot

    I used transformer 9 0 9 5408 diode in my xl4015 module. Now it shows 23 volts but after loading it becomes 9 volts, why is this happening? And what to do.
