All in One Workout | Cardio, Strength, Balance, Stretching | Exercise for Seniors & Beginners

- This is a full-body workout including 20 minutes of cardio (with some intervals), 9 minutes of strength training, 2 minutes of balance exercises and 5 minutes of stretching. This is a little bit more challenging than some of my beginner workouts but as always, go at your own pace and take breaks when you need them. As always, this is low impact. Please use your judgment on when to modify exercises. If you feel a move isn't good for you, please change the exercise to a move that is more suitable for you. You can walk in the comfort of your own home with this workout:)

This is my 3rd day back from the getting the house ready to sell (and selling it!) and I'm relieved to see that I can still do the intermediate videos. I've lost some ground on balance and cardio, but I will be working to get those back. Thanks for this great all in one!
I'm thrilled for you on finalizing things with the house so you can move forward, and work out again:) It's amazing how a sale of a house can consume so much time. We started our day with this one. I couldn’t do a “full on run” in the cardio section, but I could jog. Great strength and balance exercises, too!!

Thank you for these exercises. I’m nearly 70 & getting out is always a chore in these times, so doing this at home is ideal. Lot the bell between routines & really appreciate the cool down exercises at the end. Improved Health is great.

Excellent workout that hits all the marks: cardio, strength, balance and stretching. Loved it! I especially love the squats. I have been reading lately that as we get older we should be doing squats daily. Thank you also for the bells that ring when we should change the movement. So helpful!

We did this one today-glad we did, since I got some squats in; I have to modify the V step to an out/out-in/in move. Great strength workout, too-oh, those chest flyes!!!!

I look forward to doing your exercise videos especially the osteoarthritis video with your father. Just wanted to let you know that you have an admirer. When I get ready to do a video, my little black and white kitten jumps up on a hassock in front of the tv and sits there throughout the whole video. Sometimes she tries to grab your feet which gives me a good laugh. She is a great companion and her name is Joy for a reason.
That's pretty cute what Joy does...I'm sure it'll make me smile as I think of a kitten jumping up at my legs as I am working out in future videos:)
I really like it when you play the bell to let you know you’re changing the movement. It helps me concentrate on the movement and not having to look up if need be.

Hey Jules! This one was a real workout for me! I got a little overheated so I opened my patio door and that helped a lot. I know I'm not back to my previous level of stamina and strength but I'm working on it! I did the plank for 45 seconds. I'll ge there!

SO HAPPY TO SEE THIS...JUST DID A FEW OF YOURS YESTERDAY and was not only so much fun but great for my energy and things healing from injuries. Your music and instructions and combo are so good and so needed for beginners and seniors and more advanced will know how to adopt to to e more challenging if need that...but i find that people just need more movement an less pushing themselves and more joy in doing it...because the brain and the body work best with relaxed and happy mindset..that heals and strengthens everything more. So it's good you are doing this as it something about you too , not just the music and the movements that will be what impacts others. that for me ...after trying so many on so many levels and approaches this has been the best. i will have to come back to do this later or tomorrow but had to say this now...and will edit it then too as right now can't stay here.

@@ImprovedHealth Did it all except the last stretch ..had to adapt because of my injuries . Where i used to be able to grab my ankle and hold it in that position, i can't even get to it now...i will have to find a stretchy thing like a strap to do it with...Everything else i could do and no problems with including the balancing which i didn't think i would do so well but did them all and felt soooo good. ...LOVED it all in one session...It was what i really wanted to do today. . That was a great workout..really sweat with it...lol.I would like to do stretches for a longer time though (both more of them and each one for a longer time) . Because stretching is much better for the body AFTER a lot of movement and when really warmed up the muscles ...so i like to take advantage of that.....but your timing is probably good for most people and i can do it longer on my own anyway. Loved the squats ..which i thought I would not be able to do (again due to recovering from injuries and just getting back in shape ..) but i had no problems with them..They felt awesome. ..too. All of it was great for my body. So did i give enough feedback?? lol...and hope not too much...lol. thanks ..your sessions are so much fun.
@@marianl3447 Hi Marian! Thank you for all of your feedback. Thank you for mentioning the quad stretch...I think you are definitely not alone with not being able to do that one. I should have thought of that. And you're right, I held the stretches for a shorter time period during this workout. I feel as though some people will get bored and not do any so I figure if I can keep them interested, they'll at least get some stretching in. But, I think in future videos I'll continue to hold for 20-30 seconds because it is better for improving flexibility. I'm very happy to read you did the squats...yay! Blessings to all on this beautiful Sunday. Even though I cannot stand for any length of time; I took this challenge to do my Cardio sitting down and I even managed to do 15 "sit and stands" Did poorly on the balance exercises; had to hold onto the chair with one hand but I made it through the 36 minutes and feel good upon completion. Thank you Jules for the challenge!!!!
I love how you took the challenge and modified the workout to a seated version. That's awesome, Margaret. And congrats on the 15 sit to stands!!! That's amazing! Holding onto the chair to help with balance is perfect...the more you do it, the better your balance will become. I am so excited to read you completed the workout. This wasn't an easy one but you did it:)

I love these combo workouts that get everything in - cardio, strength, abs, balance, and stretching. Helps keep me from getting bored! I also like your tips - for example, I didn't know to "kick with your heel," when kicking up. That really helped. I am improving from my arm issue so I could do some of the strength training with light weights, but I was selective and did not use weights when I could tell I wasn't ready yet. Thanks, Jules, for another great workout video.

Whew! What a great (and sweaty) workout!!!!!
We liked doing 4 knee lifts on one side, then switching to the other side during the cardio portion. It was a bit easier on our knees than doing 30 seconds before switching sides.

Absolutely loved this! The combo of cardio, strength and balance is the jam! Great workout. I usually don’t finish the stretches in a video but the music was perfect and peaceful. And I’m more of a fan of not much talking during the routine so this nailed everything I like about a workout video. Thank you!

It’s definitely always good to rotate workouts to challenge different muscles (might have some soreness tomorrow though!).

Hi Kay, if you're concerned, you could put a pillow behind your back to support it during the chest exercise. Another option would be to do standing pushups off the wall. The strength training will be super beneficial for the osteoporosis.

Thanks again Jules for a great full body, as you put it in the title All-In-One workout. Doing Cardio, Strength, Balance and Stretching in one workout is definitely what keeps me going, even when I really am dealing with mind chatter to just do Cardio. I’m able to use heavier weights now due to these workouts, which is a bonus for me.
