  • In the last episode of the new 635csi series we revived the car after years of sitting, however it ended with a bad hesitation, no power condition. In this episode we conquer that! Turns out this fuel system wasn't very happy!

    Josh!!! My man!! … dude several things. 1 - plush move on the fuel investigation and repair 2- that e24 is s3x. 3- I know I said I’d stop busting your chops, but this video of you beating on the 635 and being impressed by the dirty m30 just proves & reinforces my desire for you to do the shrick cam on the b35 for the e28… you see how blown away you were from this? Imagine the b35 with those iTB’s a shrick cam and war chip !?!!😈 dude don’t think about it, just pull the trigger!!! 🙌

      Unfortunately not, need this to fund better things. Its not “the one”. Drivetrain is sick, but rust bubbles creeping on quarters is something that wouldn’t let me keep it for a collection car

    Have you tested the intank pump? If it's original, it has almost certainly failed. Car will run fine without intank pump with full tank of gas. External pump will struggle sucking fuel when tank is low and the pump will fail prematurely.
    It's fairly easy to fit stronger intank pump and delete external pump.

      Hey, my e34 suffers from that issue, where is that pump?

    • @tiitsaul9036

      @@phoenix_plays_3515 in tank pump is inside the fuel tank. Same place where the fuel level sending unit sits.
      There is some kind of Chevy pump that fits in its place. Don't remember exactly which one.

      Did you watch the video? Haha. About 2 minutes in youll see me replace the intank sending unit. Euro cars in 85 don’t have in tank pumps. Only external. But this info you’re giving is great because my e30 suffered from this. Car runs, but external starves

    It's a pity there isn't a plastic tank with an internal pump and sender from a modern car that can be fitted - there must be one but how would you find out? Those old Euro engines with Motronic version 1 were pretty good. Later ones with 1.3 (E34, E32 etc) were never as lively. They were mapped to run a catalyst so weak fuelling and retarded timing to get the exhaust gas good and hot - even if they didn't have a catalytic converter they were set up to run one. The same goers for 87/88 onwards 325i's etc with 1.3. A good remap to give the engine the fuel and timing it needs transforms them. My Dad (RIP) wrote the ECU software for one of the US's well known BMW tuners - I can't say who though!
    E30 325i's from 85-87 were so much better than the later ones - higher CR and Motronic 1.1. No way were they both 171 bhp.

      This is awesome insights to the way these cars changed. I agree the metal tanks are nightmares if the cars sit. I wish I had an early e30 to compare to later one!!

    • @m3nameisjosh464

      Nope. 2 different things according. Dirty m30 is a b34 with high compression running motronic 1.1x M90 is a 3.5 early engine that runs l jet. Similar but not

    • @Rawvicious
      @Rawvicious Před rokem

      That’s a us rear end mixed with the euro. Euro cars still have the rear connected to the chassis unlike us cars, where you can remove the bumper with the “rear valance”. The only difference is the license plate but seeing as how the cluster is in miles and not km, this is definitely an odd ball.

    • @m3nameisjosh464

      @@Rawvicious car cant fit a US spec plate, it only has euro plate provision. Climate temp is in Celsius, consumption is in Liters. Euro catless drivetrain is all there, it was just oddly federalized
