hai, I just wanna ask how long do you usually take to draw your other portrait drawings?
You are a geniusâ€!
What brushes do you use? Where do you buy them?
It's looking very realistic
Sponsored by Winsor & Newton? That's how you know you made it
Seriously.
Haha! Yup! I was just thinking the same thing. Must of been such a moment of joy closing that agreement.
Let the youtube and algorithms know, I enjoy watching this.
"Every brush stroke has to be well thought out in advance" - That is so extremely true. It takes years of practice to get to this level.
Imagine being so good that u can make a master of pieces in just 8 hrs
I am pretty much over-the-moon with your painting of the Space Queen because, full disclosure, Robin is my stepdaughter. You call her eyes mesmerizing, I say you captured her "tude." This is Robin. And you are Awesome. Bravo!
.....And now I literally have the biggest crush on himđ
You and me both!

This man literally has it all, the looks, the voice, the accent, the artistic skills, Iâm even envious of his studio đđ
The outfit and hair looks like it was inspired by Padme from Star Wars
Your simplification of big ideas to create beautiful pieces is the work of a god. I admire your balance of cleanliness and impressionistic lines! Congrats on the new dog by the way đ
This is so beautiful that her gaze made me get up and actually do something
đ
I love how when only the eyes are painted it looks like someone is just looking through some holes in the canvas. It's so realistic!
Yes yes yes!
Such a beautiful painting! I absolutely love your intro, too!! đ„°
You both living in Deutschland and speaking Englisch so good .you are living in Berlin ?
I like winsor and newton but Schmincke I like more .The colours from Schmincke is more gorgeous.

Thank YOU Robin đ€
Alpay if you are reading this, I just wanna let you know how inspiring you are and that each and everyone of your videos are âmasterpieceâ
I love the atmosphere of your videos ! Not only are your paintings truly gorgeous and stylish, your way of explaining the creation process and the occasional sassy comment are very enjoyable to watch :)
I havenât seen a more lucid demonstration of painting - on or off camera.
Noni is adorable đ„°
Maybe not a masterpiece but a beautiful painting never the less. I would be incredibly happy to get to your level of skill if I ever get enough time away from my day job and family life to practice!!
Hear here! Same here
Howdy, Alpay! Iâve been painting abstracts with acrylic for two years now, and Iâm loving it. However, my husband is a master artist (especially with oils) and Iâve always said...âI canât paint anything realistic like he can.â Then I found Alpay Efe...~ Your paintings inspire me ~ to the point that Iâve painted three portraits following you. Iâm now loving painting portraits with oil! Yay! Thank you for helping me on my way as an artist!
Noni is absolutely adorable! đ loved the video. Your videos always inspire me to pick up my brush again.
Can't wait for you to paint Noni!
Gorgeous painting! âšđ
All hail Queen Noni! đđ
Awesome painting
Love Windsor & Newton too :)
I love her skin! It is very vibrant! Beautifully done!
I am a bit afraid of oil paint.. Bought al the supplies.. But I am afraid of using them in the wrong way that I go back to drawing.. My safe material đ
But seeing you work inspires me. Maybe I will try again
You should it's a great medium!
Like Alpay always says; thereâs no wrong way. Dive in! You are so lucky! You already know how to draw. That is huge. Mix some colors, and just play with paint. Oil is the best medium! The most important thing is that you have fun experiencing it and donât put any pressure on yourself! Best of luck!
@@ginaalvarez6023 thank you so much Gina! That helps a lot đ Maybe I shoukd not focus on how good the art work is going to. But focus on the experience. I will dive into the world of oil paint for the first time this weekendđđŒ
You should definitely give oils a try. I always tell my students, the only thing to fear is the regret of not trying. Here is a little exercise just for you: get a pear or your favorite fruit and paint it from life. If you already have drawing skills, the simple subject will allow you to fully focus on color mixing and values. Just use a red yellow and blue. And white of course. A limit palette makes it easier to remember color mixes and it creates color harmony. If you really want to learn the tradition way, just use white and black at first. Values are more important than color. Try setting a timer for 20 mins and paint a small panel, 5x7 perhaps. Painting small, fast paintings will force you to eliminate all details and focus on color and value. Painting small, fast paintings everyday will help you progress rapidly. Hope that helps. Stay inspired. Bry. :)
@@marijke1638 awww you are so welcome! Very curious to know how itâs going and if you enjoyed your first painting session. For anyone out there afraid to begin oil painting - I learned from watching a few CZcams videos just to get the basics down. Just have fun and enjoy the experience!

I wish someday, I could have an artstyle that stands out as much as Yours does.
Really awesome painting, and I totally agree about your point about the masterpiece. i always find when I build up a painting as something that needs to be super good, it always diminishes how much I enjoy the process and it almost never actually adds anything to the painting. On the other hand, the more I can relax and just get into the painting process, often the better the painting turns out. (of course not every one is a win.... but if you can enjoy it... in the end it's still a win even if the painting isn't perfect)
Great job.
Alpay going places #winsor&newton
You're beyond perfect with making the color ; once I can afford enough paint it will build my flamboyance and hopefully my painting becomes as good as my marker work... great job manđŻđ
Watching your videos always gets me pumped to get up and paint since I only recently started with oils, but Iâm at home and my paints are at school.
Always enjoyable to watch you paint, thanks!

Thank you - excellent piece all around.
I love your channel, as a fellow artist, I find so much inspiration and technique in watching your work and listening to you.
Amazing work as always, brother!
You are one of the only painters I have subscribed to... I love the simplicity of how you work. I seem to overthink and overcomplicate.... thank you for your advise. I struggle with oils. I'm going to try the fast drying medium so I don't have to stop to wait to dry... I tend to get bored!
If you ever need any help with oils, Iâll be happy to help. Here is a little tip for you: in addition to fast dry mediums, you can also use more burnt umber in your mixes. Itâs a great color modifier and the natural manganese in it oxidizes the oils faster. My paintings are usually touch dry in about three days with no mediums. :) Hope that helps. Stay inspired. Bry. :)
@@GalleryBry thats brilliant!!! Thank you!

Your brush Strokes look so effortless. I'll have to try the Winsor & Newton paints. I love all your videos. Very relaxing. You're very inspiring.
I really enjoy your voice and your art!!
It looks so good. So much talent
This for me is a masterpiece a blend between the future and the past that comes to life in the present. The colours used and and each brush stroke feels natural yet aspects of it seem rather put there which is why it makes it a masterpiece in my eyes. I love your style itâs very very attractive.
Lovely video and painting as always.

Need you kind suggestions about my art work...đ
Wait, you showed up on the 1st part! Damn! I was waiting for this moment. I look up to you not just because of your magnificent art but how beautiful you express your thoughts and ideas. Nothing but love from the PHILIPPINES! đș
I always learn something from you in each video, Alpay. I learned Many things from this video in fact. This might seem like such a simple concept but learning WHY you chose the particular blue background was interesting to me. I guess I was feeling feisty and needed to comment! Maybe because I was disarmed when that right eye suddenly appeared so alive and incredibly real. When you applied the pinkish color to the inside corner, I actually said âoh my Godâ out loud.
So happy you got a new baby!! Noni needs to be painted! Congratulations! Iâve been painting on MDF and other hard materials and I love them. Iâve been experimenting with just using acrylic paint as a base rather than gesso and that seems to give a less slick feel but still ultra smooth. I hate applying gesso...
Yeh,good idea...acrylic is a good start for oils ...I am working on it too ,is there any way to make water softer ? Like liquin in oil ?
W&N, nice! Stunning pic/model. Nice work.
Iâve just started back oil painting after a 30 year break - I love listening to your art therapy / philosophy sessions - love your art/love your smooth calm supportive voice - thanks for the inspiration! Who is the king of portraits!
ABSOLUTELY LOVE YOUR CHANNEL. I HAVE BEEN HOOKED TO ALL VIDEOS.!
