This is why I like older vehicles. Less stuff to take apart to get to what needs fixed.
Oh man! Big project for a little sensor. But can be done 👍
same here I have a 2000 wrangler and it's a piece of cake to work on and with my income I can only afford older vehicles anyways lol.
Worst thing Chrysler did was ditch the straight 6
That was an amazing engine. I currently own 3 of them. 2 are running. Haha!
it was a better motor but it ate water pumps sucked gas and had no go
Currently tackling this project in my garage. Was dreading doing this but here I am. Thanks to your video the confidence is there.
It’s not bad if you aren’t in a rush & keep organized
About to be doing this outside 😮💨 sad part is I've only had my jeep 60days 2015 model
@@JeepSolid well the job is completed! No cel and no leaks. Thank you sir !
94000 miles and mine just went out. I was just getting ready to change spark plugs. I guess I'm glad the sensor went out when it did.
Keep these up, you’re saving the lives of our wallets!
Good Video,I’m doing this for the second time now on my 2015 Grand Cherokee , first time was 4 years ago for the filter housing leaking, now I got the oil pressure sensor code. Since I have to take the intake off again, I’m going to replace the spark Plugs and coils too now that I got 125,000 miles on it.
thank you. this made my install so much easier
If your going that deep in may as well replace your spark plugs. Have to take the upper intake off for the driver side plugs.
Use the camera on your cell phone instead of marking stuff. I would have replaced temp sensor as well. Good video very well done.
Thank very much for your video, It helps me a lot, God Bless You thanks.
Outstanding! Thank you so much.
Excellent video, I’m dreading doing this
It’s not that bad. Leave yourself plenty of time, listen to some music or a game while working.
Do you have a parts list? I’m about to do this job
Convinced me not to get a JK haha. I will stick with my YJ.
Haha! Yep
Exellent job my friend.
Thank you!
i have to do this. ugh. im replacing both sensors. not doing that twice lol.
Thanks for a good video. I have to do this job. What are your thoughts replacing the oil cooler while in there just in case? As far as I know, mine isn't acting up.
Yeah, probably a good idea to replace the whole unit
Myj jeep has this sensoring showing, but also the temp gauge is running hot. Could these sensors both be bad and causing these issues or is there possibly a correlation?
Can I use these torque specs on my 2018 wrangler? I cant find a 2018 wrangler service manual to purchase - the only one I can find is the manual in the video but thats through 2017 models
Thanks Dale excellent video.
Maybe a JKU should be the rebuild in the garage!!!!!!!
Ben
Thanks Ben! Maybe a salvage jku
Is this an opportunity to change the plugs??
Thank you for the video! How long did it take you?
I would estimate it’s a 3 hour job. Took me longer because I was filming.
I had to replace the oil pressure sensor on my tj a few years ago and I made the mistake of buying aftermarket and after I installed it it didn't work right so I had to install the old one til I was able to get a new mopar unit and it's been working great since. So if you think buying an aftermarket one is cheaper nope it's not buy mopar ones instead.
For sure. This is a part you don’t wanna go cheap on. What a pain to repeat the process 😫
Could this also be from engine code PO523?
Thanks perfect video, I replaced my wife’s Jeep today.
Bend that bracket at a 90 degree n yes a sensor socket will go on I do 3 a month
Never getting rid of the 05.
Me either
How long does this job take to do, not filming and teaching us?
I’d estimate around 2-4 hours.
All that for two oil sensors! Good grief!
Howdy howdy
Hey there!
I recently replaced the oil cooler housing and changed all the sensors a month later the oil pressure warning light keeps flashing pushing my engine into limp mode. What a piece of crap these parts are
That sucks. Where’d you get parts from?
@@JeepSolid Amazon it’s an Omix brand. It’s a hard lesson learn now I’m getting ORM mopar parts. It may cause 2-3 times the cost of what I got but it will be worth it
Only fourteen minutes and twenty two seconds to do this? Ten hours later...
Haha! Yeah. It’s probably a 4-6 hour job, depending on your level of experience. But not a bad afternoon job while you drink a few and listen to a ball game 👍
The motor is a huge piece of TRASH that makes hardly any power to begin with
I guess that’s why they put it in Jeeps and Vans. Not sports cars
I hear it's supposed to be pretty strong and can push up to 420 ish torque on stock internals
That's why they put this engine in the police cruisers. That makes sense now.
Wtf...whos engenineering is this 🤮
🤣
