    There are a lot of great upgrades on the 2018 Toyota Camry, however some of the best features are those that are standard on all Toyota Camry vehicles. The 2018 Toyota Camry is standard with Toyota Safety Sense P. This is the first Camry with this inclusive active safety package designed to limit situations of poor nighttime visibility, unintended lane changes, and rear end collisions. It does this with four systems. They are Automatic High Beams (AHB), Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC), Pre-Collision System (PCS) with Pedestrian Detection (PD), and Lane Departure Alert (LDA) with Steering Assist (SA).
    This video shows brief operation and settings availability on each component. Toyota Safety Sense will be standard on all 2018 Toyota vehicles, and is the future of safer driving.
    The 2018 Toyota Camry also is standard with Complimentary Maintenance or ToyotaCare as part of the warranty.
    The Star Safety system is standard on all Toyotas and includes the active safey features of Anti-lock Braking system (ABS), Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Traction Control (TRAC), Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), Brake Assist (BA), and Smart Stop Technology (SST).
    It is important to have an understanding of all of the Toyota Safety Sense systems before operating your new Toyota. Please spend some time learning the proper operations before driving the vehicle.

      I’m not sure. Is that when you are driving and something is in front of you and it says “BRAKE”?

    PCS doesn't seem to work in my vehicle, I've played around with the sensitivity setting and not once was I alerted to brake when approaching a vehicle real close,not sure what's going on

      Izzy ab it’s not recommended to test the PCS, and sometimes harder to know when it is working. I would take your vehicle to your local Toyota dealer and let them check it.

    Can you turn off the automatic precollision braking and lane departure permanently? Of do these systems automatically come on when the vehicle is started even if they were previously turned off??

    • @JSS
      @JSS  Před 6 lety +2

      gsrthomas great question! You can turn off both systems. The precollision system comes back on with every engine cycle. The lane departure alert once turned off will stay off.
