Love this as an option. If I do not have the navigation (JBL) unit do I still require the switch? Also, do you recommend disconnecting the battery before doing this install?
Thank you! Yes, you still need the switch. If you would like, you may keep the switch engaged at all times and keep it behind the radio. Disconnecting the battery before install is always recommended to prevent any mishaps during install.

The kit now consists of a plug and play power adapter to feed power to USB charger from the vehicle.
Great video my Prius 2017 could use this. Why if I put a chrome cast and screen cast my One plus 5 would that work. I used to do that in another vehicle with a pioneer app radio..
Yes, using chromecast and screen cast your phone will also work with this setup. You will however need an independent hotspot in your vehicle as well.
I see you guys have the CarPlay adapter now. How does that compare to iPhone mirroring?
What are the pros and cons?
Carplay is better if all you need are Maps. Music and phone. Smartphone mirroring is better if you want to watch movies.

That is the factory head unit from Toyota. Only volume will work with steering wheel.

Does your product void warranty?
This product does not void any warranty. However, it is always recommended to remove the unit if you are taking the car in for any headunit issues.
I cannot seem to find number 7... The USB Chargers, the one with a plug which goes into the socket comes up. What shall I type to find the one I need? And how many metres do I need the Lightning cable to connect to my iPhone? Is 1 metre enough? I have the same Prius as in the video.
Which number 7 are you referring to? The lighting extension cable should be at least 3ft. We recommend the longer 6ft model for more flexibility. You may also get 2, 3 ft lighting extension cables and connect them to make it 6ft. These cables only tend to last maximum 1 year and it would be easier to replace if two are used:

That's great. If you look at the start of the video, you mention additional items you need along with the TVK66 & AVC39.. The USB chargers is what I cannot seem to find. If you go to the start there are 8 additional items. Number 7 is USB Chargers. Can you send me a link to that please? Thank you very much.

I ordered the TVK66 from elsewhere and AVC39 from Japan. Will this be correct or are your items different for mirroring?
We recommend to use the full kit IF-02AEP to prevent any unforeseen issues, incompatible products and components which have not been tested together for problem-free install.

Will this work for the 2017-18 Prius Prime Plus model (the base model Prius Prime)? I believe it's the same head unit that's in your video above. Also, I live in Colorado, but plan on buying the Prius Prime in California and driving it home to Colorado (they hardly have any in stock here... the Colorado State Tax Credit for PHEV vehicles is the highest in the nation at $5,000.00, so that's probably why). I can always arrange my trip so that I can coordinate an install with you guys, but just in case that doesn't work, do you know of anyone in Colorado that does similar type of mods? Thank you!
Hi Kevin, regretfully the mirroring kit is not compatible with the Prius Prime models. The system used for the infotainment system is very different and does not take video input.

This video was easy to understand right up until we get to 8:20 when you completely skip all the rest of the steps. So installing your product on the other side of the country would impossible for a layman to follow. What about the gazillion other items we “ordered from Amazon”? How do we install those? Hmmm
Yeah kind of a shame they only show installation for the 2 products they sell - we’re on our own when it comes to the EIGHT other components it needs in order to work 🤷♂️

This way is possible. But you will also need a hotspot in the car where the airplay is connected to.
